For a fair additional price he repaired loose and broken deck railing. His teams paint application was infallible. All surfaces, under spaces, corners, tight spaces and hard to reach areas were fully repaired and well painted. We couldn't be happier with the job. First, the estimate was very reasonable and less than the other estimate I obtained by quite a bit. But I decided to go with Frank Shaw based on his knowledge about best options for the task at hand, as compared to what I had researched on my own. Additionally he was a great help with colors and called ahead to Dunn Edwards to make sure they could give me an entire paint color fan deck which i appreciated. He was prompt in communications and appointments. He also provided within hours of the request from my HOA, insurance documentation from his insurance company adding me and the HOA to the policy for this project (I'd never heard of that). Secondly, the crew was the best I've had the pleasure of meeting over 35 years of home ownership and many projects. Rodrigo, Maria, Michael, Mario and Kandi were so friendly, respectful of the property and belongings, kind to me and each other, and exceedingly polite every single day (11 days). They also seemed to take personal pride in the quality of their work which I'm sure impacts the quality of the product/service they provide. Also, this 3 story mountain homes with Alpine sloping roof lines off decks and uneven slopes was especially daunting and challenging but they handled it professionally and with great care to their own safety. Lastly, the attention detail, thoroughness and talent in doing ALOT of prep work (caulking, priming, replacing damaged wood, even wood in scary high roof-adjacent area off a narrow piece of deck (yikes), removing all the peeling deck paint and undoing the poor job previous painters did on it (not priming, using some kind of weird glue instead of appropriate caulking, etc) was remarkable (several neighbors commented on the prep work and requested info on the company). The paint and deck stain application was immaculate and inspected thoroughly on the last day for touch up and nothing, even the smallest detail wasn't missed. Thank you Frank and amazing crew!

Got a decent bid from Logan for furnace replacement and A/C addition on a 3 story downslope house…read more Unit is under the bottom floor. Installation went well. Logan was onsite and he and his crew were excellent, and all work was done well in a timely manner. System tested out ok, but A/C flow on the top floor was poor (heat flow was fine), and a booster fan was suggested for the lengthy top floor duct path, at an additional cost. The booster fan was installed in short order, when I was not home (part-time home) - all good so far - 5 stars for sure. .... but when tested the fan ran with the heater, and created a blast furnace on the top floor. Call to Logan and he was able to swing by and change the fan to run A/C only. Being winter we only ran the Heat and it was fine. As this summer approached found that the A/C would not run at all, no booster fan, no fan at all, although the outside unit is running... Multiple phone / email messages to Logan / Arrowhead Air have gone unreturned. Not good....! Hope I don't have to call somebody else. UPDATE: Logan reappeared - and as before was the consummate professional, worked through the issues and got the A/C back up.

In March of 2026 my wife and I hired "On Time Handyman of the Mountain/Moises Nunfio" to completely…read morego through repair and update our double wrap-around deck at our mountain home in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. The work consisted of two large areas of water damage/ wood rot and had to replace 30 feet of 4"x10"x30' in the walkways of the deck. Moises and Felipe his worker also had to add 20 new 4"x4"x6' support boards to the entire upper deck railing. They also had to redo almost all of the broken down cement pillar supports underneath the deck in which they had to dig out the old cement pillars and added 10 times as large of new cement pillars. Moises and Felipe had to completely dismantle and rebuild our large 40'x30' back deck in our backyard. The entire deck including all the supports 4"x10"x40' and numerous 4"x8"x30' had to be replaced. They also replaced the 4"x6"x20' redwood boards. They built the back deck so that it will last for many many years and it is unbeliveably strong. The paint and stain finish is absolutely beautiful and they put 4 coats on it for longevity. The experience working with Moises and Felipe was exceptional from start to finish. The transformation is nothing short of amazing. What was once an aging deck is now beautiful, solid, and expertly crafted and compliments our home. The quality of workmanship is outstanding and every detail was completed with precision. Their pricing is reasonable and fair. Almost daily, he sent me several photos (being that I was down the mountain and unavailable to be there during the work). He kept us up-to-date with his progress. Every time I saw the photos I was astounded at how beautiful it was looking. Our deck needed a lot of TLC (as did our balcony and steps), but after Moises and his team completed the work it's more beautiful than I could imagine. Unfortunately during inspection, we learned this roof was at the end of its 20 year life. Luckily we upgraded our general inspection to spend extra time on the roof & found a lot of issues before things could have gotten much worse. His wonderful crew cleaned the gutters, installed an ice & water shield membrane on the entire roof, a new 30lb underlayment, added cdx plywood to make the slope transition smooth, fixed a ton of random issues and used magnets on our entire property to make sure there werent any leftover nails or screws that would hurt our kids or dogs. I double checked and couldnt find any. This winter will be much cozier with the extra insulation we upgraded to with this new roof. Nothing like having a brand new roof over your head. As I say that, I cant help but feel sad for friends & people in FL as they start the slow process of rebuilding their homes and finding shelter. We have so much to be grateful for and dont take it for granted. Many ppl complain businesses but I wanted to recognize AR for job well done! I highly recommend Roberto and his crew. He got lost, although he lives on the mountain, was routinely rude to my mom on the phone and in person once he arrived. She's trying her best, and address shows correctly with exact accuracy on Google Maps. He spoke very kindly with me and then was very condescending to my mom. Therefore I cancelled him immediately and she broke down in TEARS to me after he left, talking about how he made her feel belittled and reprimanded her that she "needs to learn how to give directions". Maybe he needs to learn how to use Google instead! Maybe he needs a lesson in patience and understanding.... in common decency, respect and basic customer service.
