I am a self pay patient so it takes alot for me to get myself to a dr. But when I went 4 days with no symptom relief and my mucus turning a bright green I figured I may need an antibiotic. I checked in as normal, I was called back pretty quickly and even though It costs me $150 just to be seen I was at ease to know I would be leaving with some relief. Nurse took my heart rate and bp, and asked about my symptoms. Dr came in and the only follow up question was "are you on birth control?" I said no. Haven't been in years. She then proceededs to do no swabs, no covid test, no bloodwork, no chest xray and tells me i need to go to the emergency room to rule out a clot! we went from zero to 100. Let's not rule out influenza or infectio. But let's make you spend potentially thousands of dollars on a ct scan for a blood clot!! All because I had a stage one elevation in blood pressure. Needless to say, I took my chances and left without going to the er. I think the 4 day embolism would have taken me by now. And left with no medicine or diagnosis!

Paperwork was a breeze and I only waited around 10 minutes before I was in. I was THOROUGHLY tested and treated here. I have been to a few different urgent cares before and some of them write you a script for antibiotics after seeing you for literally 2 minutes (which is SCARY). I got a full exam from a real nurse here and great advice. I was in the exam room for probably 20-30 minutes while they tested everything including my vision! I was thrilled to see this kind of personalized attention. Not to mention how incredibly friendly everyone working here was on a SUNDAY. I'm still in shock. Super nice. Highly recommend. And I got a freaking CARD from them today with a handwritten - hope you're feeling better on it. I'm in love. Hopefully won't have to be back but if you're in a pinch THIS IS YOUR PLACE!

Everybody in front us gets called back so I think we're next nope. I keep see everybody else get called question them to make sure we weren't missed. Tells me we should be next. So sit back down 2 more people get called. By this time there's my son and one other younger lady that walks in she tells the lady see has a UTI. They call the next patient back guess what it's the lady not my son. I'm pissed by this time and ask to talk to the manger. They tell me he's not there. They give me a number to call. It's a number to women it doesn't even work for St Elizabeth. They then proceed to call another person back. At this time I demand to see a office manger. They then try to tell they took the other patients before us because they had chest pain. I was like they last 15 patients had chest pain. They straight lied to my face. I've been to the doctor with chest pain and they don't let you sit in the waiting area for hour before being seen. They check you vitals right away and see if need to call a ambulance. Plus this is a urgent care not a emergency room. Then it hits me my son is the only black patient. I a white mom so at first I didn't realize what was happening. By this point I'm crying because I just realize what has happened to my child.
