Instead, I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and with even more anxiety than I had before the appointment. I understand that additional imaging, including an MRI, may sometimes be medically necessary before removing certain nasal masses. However, what upset me was the way everything was communicated and handled. I felt her responses to my questions were sarcastic and dismissive rather than compassionate or reassuring. I am already dealing with discomfort, bleeding, difficulty sleeping, and significant anxiety over this, and now I have to continue waiting for additional testing before anything can be done. I have researched that some nasal polyps can be treated or removed in an office setting, which is why I wanted a clear explanation of why that wasn't an option in my particular case. Instead of feeling that she was trying to help me understand the medical reasoning and move my treatment forward as quickly as safely possible, I left feeling like my concerns weren't a priority. The waiting and uncertainty are affecting me tremendously. I can't sleep because I'm worried about this, and I went to a specialist because I needed help--not to leave feeling more scared and frustrated. If an MRI is truly necessary for my safety, I can respect that, but I believe patients deserve a thorough explanation, empathy, and help getting the necessary testing and treatment completed promptly. Regardless of how long someone has practiced medicine, bedside manner matters. Patients who are scared and sick deserve compassion, patience, respectful communication, and to feel that their doctor genuinely wants to help them. Unfortunately, that was not how I felt after this visit.

After years of football, baseball, weightlifting and running, my knee began swelling bad. I had a medial meniscus surgery in 2013 and needed a second surgery a few months ago. My surgeon had to do more "clean up" than what the MRI showed. I had the cartilage behind my kneecap scraped to grow back smooth. Although I was feeling better post-op, I still could not run. So I sought out alternative treatments. Stem Cell+PRP injections always intrigued me so that was my next step. Kellie advised me to make 2 appointments with her office. One to draw my blood (PRP utilizes your own platelets) and another about 1.5-2hrs later for the Stem Cell + PRP injection. Kellie used a topical numbing spray as she did the injection. The pain was more discomfort (which says a lot because I hate needles) than anything. My knee was sore after and Kellie said to walk carefully as I had a lot of excess fluid in my joint. After 2 days I was walking normal and on the 4th day, I was able to run a mile. Not far but that was my 5th time running post op. My knee felt great during my run and after being on my feet all day- I still feel great. For a non-steroidal HEALTHIER alternative- I 100% believe Stem+PRP injections are the way to treat OLD and/or injured joints. Instead, I was left waiting for an hour and a half without any meaningful communication about the delay. This was not the first time I was kept waiting. I understand that medical offices can have unexpected delays and emergencies, but waiting 90 minutes without a clear explanation or an update is not respectful of a patient's time. After waiting that long, I ultimately had to leave without being seen. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and improves communication with patients when appointments are significantly delayed. Patients' time matters too, and I expected a much more professional experience. You lost a patient and I will share this experience with anyone I meet.
