He's gentle (no pain!) and friendly, and plays awesome music - rock, blues, country - instead of the mindless New Age crap you often hear. On the last two visits, I've heard Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, and Bruce Hornsby. (He plays entire albums.) Second and third are Nancy Green and Lori Miller, dental hygienists extraordinaire. I felt satisfied with both the first dentist, new crown and office personnel, then the dentist musical chairs started. Two years later, I needed an old crown replacement and should have taken a clue when it took 5 visits to get it right. Seven months later, problems with the new crown and told that gum lengthening should have been performed. Received a referral to their associated surgeon @ Benchmark Dentaln who is "supposed" to be part of their office/network. Yep... I complained because that's not cheap and my expectation is to get it right the first time. Additionally, the original crown and support completely broke with them suggesting an implant. Toni, the area manager, so nicely calmed me by stating (lying) that they will pick up the cost of the lengthening and associated crown. My visit to the referred surgeon for crown lengthening was completed and I received the projected cost. The referred office was informed upon my check in and checkout that the Northpoint office was paying the bill. They contacted Northpoint and informed me that Toni said she will review the cost and get back with me. Ha Ha...no calls from her and never available to talk. Yep...ghosted. I have the top executive-level dental plan, so even though Dr Gurley is out-of-network, I did not expect a 6-month visit to be more than $100 or so OOP, typical of other dentists here and in ORANGE COUNTY, CA. I then had a crown chip, and Dr Gurley again spent 10 minutes with me as he ground the corner of my crown to remove the sharp edge. I was shocked when I ended up with a bill for $959 dollars, of which insurance paid $411. It appears Dr Gurley DOUBLES the rates that top-of-the-line dental insurance pay, essentially double dipping. Gurley charges $145 for an oral exam and ins pays $72. Gurley charges $604 for a 6-month and ins pays $217, including $190 fee for panoramic & ins pays $82! Now no one will call me to discuss.

Well when his dentist suggested it was probably time for braces (he inherited my overbite) they walked us right over. And not outside "walked us over" ... they're actually connected inside!! SUUUPPER convenient! We met with Dr. Nima for the first time and as he looked in my son's mouth, within 2 minutes, came up with a plan of how to treat his overbite. I've had braces in my younger days, so I was familiar with some of the terminology however, Dr. Nima made sure to explain every step, every term and never made you feel out of place. The office is ALWAYS clean & welcoming! They make you excited to be there. My son (now 9) has been going to Dr. Nima since he was 6 or 7. He's been going to the dentist since 18 months so for him getting his mouth looked at he's pretty comfortable. They are gentle, they always ask you if you're comfortable, the staff ALWAYS carries themselves with respect and are always such a joy to be around & not to mention, they also have TV's above each chair station when you're getting worked on to keep your child (or you) entertained and not thinking so much about what's going on inside their mouth! I love the staff and Dr. Nima so much. I ended up getting Invisalign for myself back in Feb 2024. Dr. Nima suggested a 10 month plan and my perfect smile would be achieved. Not only did we jump on the ball, I received a discount because my son is a patient there, and that 10 month plan turned into 7!!! I achieved my perfect smile within 7 months because I followed Dr. Nima's recommendation of wearing my Invisalign for 22hours a day for 10 days and then switching my trays. I am sooo happy with my smile (as is Dr.Nima). I know I'll go back and see them because my son is still a patient there but! I'm going to miss sitting back in those chairs, having conversations and catching up with the staff & Dr.Nima.
