We were referred to Jim and Jay of Christian Construction by a family member who had large and small projects done by them for the last 20+ years. We remodeled two bathrooms (one of them had the layout changed completely), moved the laundry from outdoor to indoor, stucco work for the exterior of the house, changed ceiling lights, electrical work, fixed kitchen sink leak and more. They are honest, professional and very knowledgeable. Throughout the process, they were on time every day, well-communicated with every step of the way and finished all the work on schedule as promised. The pricing is transparent, reasonable and fair. They worked within our budget. Jim and Jay are good problem solvers and gave great recommendations, especially when it comes to quality and functionality. The quality of work is excellent and it gave us peace of mind knowing they did everything properly. We are so grateful for all the work they did for us and we really enjoyed the finished product. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in future projects.

Rough opening complete with new header.

When in doubt ... look to Yelp! I was looking for a company to come out for some framing work to accommodate larger kitchen windows. Due to the pandemic, the number of companies coming out for estimates were few and far between. Although I was thankful for the ones that did come out and provided estimates, I was extremely thankful for meeting Jim (owner). After sending a few pics via MMS and a few phone calls later, it was apparent that I was setting myself up for potential issues down the road. The other companies that came out and provided estimates did exactly that - provide an estimate. Apparently, my wish for larger windows meant cutting into a shear wall of a 2-story house. What was I thinking? Jim had the patience and kindness to explain exactly what I was getting myself into. To satisfy my curiosity even more, he put me in touch with his engineer to share ideas and come up with a Plan B. After speaking to his engineer, we decided on not-so-large windows. Jim even gave me the number to his windows supplier, which ended up manufacturing my custom size windows in less than a week! Jim came by the house a few days earlier to go over the game plan. He showed me where he was going to support the ceiling, make the cuts through the stucco, and even re-route the electrical outlets and switches. On game day, he showed up with his son bright and early. Like clockwork they set up, shored up the ceiling, cut the rough opening, built a brand new header, re-routed electrical and even installed a few sister studs next to some wood rotted studs on a different wall. All in all, they were in and out in less than a full day. Jim and his son work very well together. They are both methodical and pay attention to details. The next time you are looking for a contractor, I highly recommend reaching out to Jim. Enjoy.

First I will say that Jim (Owner) and Jeremiah (Son) are very reliable and have a very professional work ethic. To me that is one of the most important factors when choosing a contractor. Jim was a referral and I was able to witness their work prior to hiring him. I hired Jim to create a new Master Bath (5'x7') in my small El Monte home. The finished bathroom came out amazing and I have received countless compliments. Attached are photos of their work for your review. Work completed 1. Built new 5'x7' master bath including new copper lines, drain and sewer under the house 2. Relocated by Water Heater from hallway closet to outdoors 3. Upgraded antiquated electrical panel to 125amp. I will absolutely hire Jim and Jeremiah again. It's rare to find good people nowadays and glad that I was referred to them and will continue to use them once I have a little more $$$ lol to do additional work on my home.

Last summer, my husband and I decided to do some remodeling. We weren't sure where to begin, but we began to call contractors and start getting estimates. My husband saw another project going on near our home and went to speak to the homeowner. She recommended her contractor, Jim and Jay [Jeremiah] of Christian Construction. One of my biggest concerns was having the work done correctly and having it completed in the way I wanted and I definitely got this with Christian Construction. Eventually we settled on starting with a complete gutting and remodel of the kitchen and bar area in the family room, as well as widening and lengthening a short set of stairs to the family room. I did not know where to start in changing the kitchen--Jim is extremely creative and was able to help me to see how we could improve the layout which I love! He helped me to prioritize the decisions that needed to be made and made suggestions as to what to look for. When it came time to do the gutting, he and Jay were very cognizant of the fact that we had to live here while this was all going on. They made it a point to make sure that I had at least one sink at all times, even though it probably would have been easier for them to do it all at once. Jim and Jay's work ethic is serious!! There was not a single day during the work that either were late--if they say they will be there at a time--they are. Communication is clearly important to them and even if we had already talked about a decision, Jim would text/email me to make sure we were on the same page. There were times that I am sure I tried their patience as I worked though some of the changes, but they were professional all the way and answered every question I had. They also were extremely tidy--leaving my home as neat and clean as possible during the remodel, which I truly appreciated. As our kitchen, bar area, and stairs neared completion, we realized we needed more done by this great team. We ended up having them raise our entry to level it out to the dining room, gut our downstairs bathroom, redo the laundry room, install crown molding, replace all the doors, including the front doors, which required a raising of the front steps. Jim and Jay have so much knowledge between them and work so well together. Jay's painting is artistry! He painted all the kitchen cabinets, bar area, bathroom, laundry rooms, interior and front doors. I don't know how, but he fills all holes, matches all textures, and leaves everything looking brand new. Though this is my first experience with major home remodeling, I have always heard horror stories from others who have done the same. Not here! Jim and Jay take pride in a job well done. It was a pleasure to have Christian Construction in our home, so much so that we intend to do more asap!

Jim and jay are great!! They're super professional and punctual. We wanted a wall removed and counter installed they did a amazing job! Everything went as promised with no issues at all! They made sure to keep everything clean and communicated every step. They finished when promised. They don't make them like these guys anymore I wish every business was as good as they are. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

Here are some pictures of the fantastic work performed by Jim and Jay. This my family room and bar area.

Christian Construction is the best. Jim and Jay they are Gems. They came to my house like clock work. They come at 7a and work all the way without a break. These guys are very hard workers. Jim is the brain of the operation he comes in and go straight to what he has planed for that day. They don't talk much so I would wait and text questions for the next day. That was fine with me bc most times Jim already had it on his agenda. I highly recommend Christian Constrution to anyone who needs any remodeling done.

I hired Jim to open a wall about 4'x6' in my kitchen. He came by and was very informative on what needed to be done and informed me step by step of what he was doing during the construction process. Jim and his son Jay were very professional, helpful and did a great job. It only took them less than a full day to complete the job. I would definitely hire them again for other projects in the future.

I know this review is basically 1.5 years later but I wanted to use the bathrooms and see how it held up before writing this review and it just became overdue. Anyways, I would not recommend Robert and his team for any similar jobs. I'm honestly shocked by the positive reviews and felt I needed to post mine because I found Robert through yelp and feel mislead. There are a lot of things that have issues now. The grout lines in the shower are flaking off in layers because it was not done properly the first time. The niche that was built has a lip that holds water and won't drain. The vanity is leveled but the gap between the wooden cabinet and the slab counter top is not. One of the doors of the vanity was installed poorly and is now loose. The laminate flooring tiles are separated in one of the bathrooms. There is so much flex when you walk on it even since the day it was installed. I regret not insisting on leveling the floor before install but Robert told us his expert opinion was that it wasn't necessary. We asked Robert to do measurements on the day we signed the contract so we can order enough materials including extra for the floor and shower. We ordered exactly as he told us but when install came, we needed to go out and buy more bc of mistakes or miscalculation. This lead to needing to buy completely different flooring for the other bathroom bc the store didn't have enough of the original one we picked out. The shower had rust coming out and his plumber was sent out to fix it (the plumber wasn't present during the initial install, FYI). There was so much extra material with the exhaust fan duct he installed and there was papers left inside that blocked the vent opening. The towel rod is not leveled. We had to reinstall one of the toilets ourselves within a year bc of a leak cause by the rubber ring. Everyone on the team was very nice and polite, however, with the exception of the plumber, I would not consider their craftsmanship and skill level to be the level of someone who works in construction as their main profession. There is a lot more I could say but I'll end it here. If all my issues were cosmetic, I'd give them 3 stars. But considering the fact that a lot of these issues had to be fixed by us or can't be fixed now but only the next time we do another renovation (flooring, shower tiles and niche, uneven patching and texture on walls/ceiling), 2 stars seems fair. I would not recommend King Legacy Construction to anyone looking for a renovation/remodel.

He kept the job moving at a surprisingly fast pace and promptly resolved issues as they arose. Pricing was competitive -- we got multiple estimates and Way To Go came in reasonable without cutting corners. You can see it in the finish quality: the stonework is clean, the tile on the curved bench is precise, and the side yard pathway turned out better than we imagined. The remodel included changing the old plaster to mini pebble, installing new tile, adding a new LED pool light, and doing the deco seal around the pool. Once all the materials were ordered and ready, the actual work was completed in about a week, which I was really happy about. Tamir kept everything organized and the crew stayed on schedule. I also appreciated that he was able to accommodate a couple of last-minute additions I requested during the project and made sure everything was taken care of.
