Wow, wonderful doctor! I avoid all doctors like the plague. It makes my blood pressure go up when I have to go. But I chose Dr. Fulmer based on the great Yelp reviews. All that I read here is true! Dr. Fulmer is so friendly and easy to talk to! He took his time with me and actually listened. I didn't feel rushed at all. He's personable and wasn't cocky or pushy. He took the time to write down the names of specialty doctors. I will definitely see him again and feel more at ease about going to the doc. I will say my experience with the front desk wasn't great. I was on hold a long time and the receptionist didn't listen to me at all when I said I was new at least 3 times. But she's nice enough and the doctor is totally worth it. I'm not an authority on doctors. I only run into them when someone runs into me. Dr Fulmer is an intelligent, caring, responsive doctor. He's skateboard injuring repairing skills is second to none. His stitching style when I visit him after returning from the bar makes Ozwald Boateng jealous. Although not looking forward to my next crash/incident, knowing Dr Fulmer will be there to put the pieces back together again makes me want to go out and try base jumping from the roof of our single story house. read more

Dr. Fulmer is great. I am pretty particular about my doctors and quite honestly Dr. Fulmer is the best I have come across in my 24 years. He is very modern and takes notes with his laptop (as do the other doctors in his practice). He is very thorough and friendly and will work with you to find a course of treatment that will fit you, not just prescribe something without first exploring all the options with you. I will first say that I have not been to see Dr. Fulmer. This review is for the experience I had contacting his office. After doing a considerable amount of research to find a primary care physician, I called his office to schedule an appointment. The gentleman who answered the phone was not very friendly and just said that Dr. Fulmer is not accepting any new patients and hung up. I understand that he may not be taking new patients, but I found this receptionist's attitude and lack of kindness to a person requesting him as a doctor be representative of his practice. Dr. Fulmer is the most wonderful doctor EVER! If you need a doctor, YOU SHOULD SEE HIM! If you have an ongoing chronic problem that has gone unsolved by other doctors you should DEFINITELY see him. I would give him waaaaaay more stars if I could. I have been seeing him for about 2 years and I just saw him today for an ongoing issue that has gone unsolved by other doctors (specialists). Side note: I never say him for the problem in the first place, I went straight to the specialist. I should have gone to him FIRST! Boy do I regret that decision. Anyway, he comes in the room sits down across from me just a few feet away, leans forward, makes eye contact, and asks "How are you?" while extending his hand for a hand shake. Then our conversation went something like this: Me: I'm good, but I would be better if I didn't have this problem Dr. Fulmer: I can understand that, How can I help you today? Me: Well, I have a very long story to tell you... Dr. Fulmer: Okay, I am ready to listen. What doctor says THAT!? He then proceeded to lean in, maintain eye contact and actually LISTENED! To the entire story. All the while, he reflected what he was hearing back to me. He said things like "It sounds like such and such" or "What I am hearing you say is..." (A+++ for listening, Dr. Fulmer!) Then, after my crazy long story, together we tried to figure out the best solution to the problem. All the while, he answered all my questions and explained everything in a way that I understand. I left feeling a million times better. He gave me the reassurance I needed that my other doctor (the specialist) pounded into the ground from his egotistical pedestal. When you see Dr. Fulmer, you really are a team working towards common goals. This is how health care should be. You will not be disappointed. Aside from being the best listener, he is warm, friendly, attentive, and willing to think outside the box. It will be a super sad day if I ever move too far away to see him. I would drive 2 hours or more to see Dr. Fulmer if that says anything about how amazing he is. I really cannot say enough great things about him, so I will stop the babbling and just end with: Dr. Fulmer is the best doctor out there and you should see him. BONUS: His office now has an online patient portal and if you have questions for Dr. Fulmer, you can email him and he'll email you back! Usually within 24 hours. No middle man (the receptionist/nurse). They are still working out the kinks with online appointment scheduling but kudos to them for going paperless and providing amazing customer service! read more

Dr. Fulmer is a great guy, and a good Doctor. I spent several frustrated years looking for a good Doctor. I've had enough good experiences with DO docs to know that they are my preference. I just feel that they look at the whole picture instead of a symptom. Also, I'm a very active athlete, so I wanted someone with a sports medicine background. I find that they have a better grasp of what I'm putting my body through, as well as, ideas on solutions (not just rest and advil). DO with a Sports Medicine background....took a while, but here he is. From my first experience, I knew I would like him. He's very approachable, very friendly and accommodating. That's great. But what sold me was when he diagnosed a hamstring injury of mine, one that I had been bothering me for a year. I had been to several docs before him, but none identified it. It was a bit obscure of an injury (hamstring tendonosis...yes that is spelled correctly). It's a running injury that if you don't treat properly, it won't heal. Once he diagnosed it, I started therapy and was good to go. I've also seen him for a few more sensitive issues. During those occasions he talked with me not only about my physical condition, but about my mental state as well. I think he's great. He may not be right for everyone though. He's definitely great for young people and young adults. I think also think he's perfect for athletes of all age. For me he is the perfect combination of what I want in my personal physician. read more

Everything in my original review has remained true for almost two years now. He's still great and we will not see another PCP. My only comment is that his office ONLY accepts PPO insurances. This was great when we began seeing him, but our lives have changed and we would like to switch to an HMO, and would have to stop seeing Dr. Fulmer if we did. We're so pleased with him though, that we will remain PPO, in order to keep him as our PCP. read more

Like everyone else on here, I'm a big fan of Dr. Fulmer's. In the last 20 years, I haven't met a doctor who is so holistic in his approach to your issue. When you start talking, he digs and probes and when you're finally finished (no rushing from him, whatsoever) he will always give a holistic answer that starts with an explanation of the area he's describing followed by how to make changes or improvements non-medically (diet, sleep, exercise, etc). then will move onto a more medical approach. I've gone to his office 3 times and come out realizing I needed to change my habits vs. receive a prescription and in each case, he was dead on. He's a true professional who knows what he's doing, but gives the kind of old-fashioned service that has you want more people to change their doctors and move to him. He's the best. read more

Dr Fulmer is the best. I am a high anxiety patient and he really made me feel calm and comfortable. He really understood me and is very patient. He spent a lot of time getting to know me and my medical history and is working with me on my health goals. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for Great Dr. That is proactive in your health goals and medical challenges. His office is nice front desk office asst. is really sweet. Although I was disappointed in his nurse she was not friendly at all but I am hopeful that it was that she was having a bad day and that she is not like that all the time. I am a new patient of dr. Fulmer, so for now I have only seen him once.And I was very comfortable talking to him. He was very nice and I could tell he really cares. He took his time to talk to me, didn't rush me at all and was thorough too. He actually called me back the day after my visit; he was worried he might not have been clear about something he said to me the day before. Not the assistant or the lady at the front desk....no: he called himself. I already did not need any more proof that he takes good care of his patients, but now I was even more sure that we are in good hands here. I am really glad I choose this office.They really make you feel like you know them already.That also goes for the lady at the front desk.She was very friendly and helpfull.
