I have been a patient of Dr. Viet Hong Bui for many years, and I couldn't be more pleased with how personable and accommodating they are. As a working professional and mother of two small children with a very demanding schedule, finding time for medical appointments is often a challenge, but this office makes the process so much easier. The heart of the front office is undoubtedly Trinh. She has been there as long as I can remember, and she is truly a blessing to the practice. Trinh is incredibly hardworking, cheerful, relatable and caring. She goes above and beyond to be accommodating with my scheduling needs, which I appreciate more than words can say. Dr. Bui is very lucky to have such a dedicated and sweet person representing the office. The Services and Convenience is One of the major highlights of this practice. Having the ability to get a Pap smear done right in the office is a huge plus for me, as it saves the hassle of scheduling separate appointments at different clinics. Dr. Viet-Hong Bui has been my PCP for about 25 years, about a year after I left Kaiser. I love her. I am a 90 year old woman and she often anticipates some of my gathering problems, but often sees through my fear and insecurity and helps me accept and appreciate the pretty good health I have at this age. She always has time for that "one more thing," which often turns out to be the main thing that I finally got around to mentioning. I love her AND her office staff. read more

Dr. Bui takes great care of my parents. Always attentive and provide explanation for the illness and treatments. Wait time can be long at time but we are willing to put up with it given how difficult it is to find a great PCP. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. I asked to have her as PCP but unfortunately she doesn't accept new patient at this time. read more

Dr. Bui is AWESOME! I stumbled upon her while looking for a new PCP. I made an appointment to see the doctor running the clinic at the time. Dr. Bui took over the practice and her patients. Right off the bat after meeting Dr. Bui I felt comfortable. She's young, friendly and personable. She hooks up the samples for medicine and whatnot. She does everything at her office... blood work, pap smears, shots for birth control etc. I don't know of anything she doesn't do. If you're looking for a great doctor who cares and wants to help -- check Dr. Bui out! I got my husband and mom going to her along with other family members. I don't hand out stellar reviews very often, but it would be a shame to not give Dr. Viet Hong Bui the credit she deserves! Dr. Viet Hong Bui has been my primary care doctor for a few years now and she is hands down the BEST doctor that I've had. She takes the time to listen and makes the effort to explain things in a way that you will understand. This apparently seems to appeal to a lot of her patients as I always see a mix of old and young patients whenever I come in. Dr. Bui and her team are great. Very informative and answer all my questions. ( I can ask a lot too) My family and I have been with Dr. Bui for many years and haven't had any problems. They get back to you also unlike other places where you gotta call again to remind them. I've had ADHD and depression/anxiety for many years and recently switched to a health insurance plan that would cover visits to a psychiatrist for meds for this. I called Dr. Bui on a Wednesday and saw him two days later: Friday evening of Memorial Day weekend. First, I couldn't believe he would squeeze me in before a vacation week but what really blew my mind is that he spent over an hour with me. Kind, obviously skilled, patient listener, a really wonderful person. He put a great deal of thought into what to prescribe and I appreciate that very much. If you're looking for someone who will actually talk to you instead of just throw you a prescription, this is your doctor. read more

Visiting her feeling like visiting a teacher & a friend! I used to hate the thought of "sched. an appt w/ doctor to get check-up or blood test..." I mean... how dreadful, right? and doctor offices often smell funny to me, very low spirit, a place you have to wait around, be quiet, & everyone looks so serious and just not happy... Of course, how many ppl actually feel HAPPY to see THE DOCTOR anyway? Well, I think I'm always happy to see Dr. Hong. She always has a big smile when she enters the room... such warm personality. What I LOVE the most about her: - a true CARING HEART - which is what we want to feel about our doctor, thorough & honest. - she educates her patients (listens, give advices, and explains thoroughly why) and not judgmental; and not giving into the "superstitious" things (like being a vegetarian = not healthy), and she'll tell you why... - she practices sanitary rules w/ needles & more... - her office is clean & doesn't have that "sick smell" I'm usually afraid of, though it's quite small in the waiting area - the nurses/helpers she has working w/ her are all very nice and helpful. Dr. Bui is FABULOUS! i think she's one of the best doctor's out there! she REALLY cares for her patients and she is very down to earth. She's thorough and she makes sure you feel comfortable. She's very nice. When my mom and I got cut off from Medi-cal, she still saw us and charged us lower fees. My mom loves her and so do I! if you want a doctor that really cares about your health and well being... go to her. If you also want a doctor that LOVES what she does and makes you feel like family.. definitely go to her. she's awesome.! read more

I love Dr. Bui!! I've never had a doctor actually care about me like she does. She takes into considerations all the things that are going on in my life and with my body before she prescribes me any medicine. She's always able to squeeze me in when I'm sick and she and her staff is super friendly. I love my doctor, she is the best!!! :) I used to have Kaiser & since I changed insurance I had to look for a new doctor. I was used to having everything in one location & just knowing that I had to change doctors and look for someone new was extremely hard because I have a history of medical problems & I knew finding a good doctor was going to be difficult. I'm a Yelper lol & I know it sounds kinda weird but I knew my only resource was to Yelp a doctor around my area. Thank God I found her!!! I was really nervous for my first appointment but she made me feel sooo comfortable. She pays a lot of attention to my needs & she is always giving me great feedback. Other doctors assume you are wrong or that you are confused but she asks questions and does whatever she can to help you out. I really recommend her & her staff, they are great beautiful people and I am blessed that I have them in my life to help me with my ups & downs :) read more

Oh, I love Dr. Bui! I wish I was still her patient, but unfortunately, I have Kaiser now. I was her patient for a number of years, from high school through college, even though I went to school up in Davis. After we changed insurances though, I had no choice but to find another doctor :( Dr. Bui got to know me and made me feel comfortable during our visits. She always took the time to explain things to me--and believe me, I had tons of questions. She always gave me advice that was probably beyond the scope of her work. My family and I have been going to Dr. Bui (and her predecessor, Dr. Mehlert) since before I was born. She's great, to the point and won't jerk you around on what's up and what you need to do. i came down with pink eye and took the day off. I called up and there was an opening with the Physician Assistant. She was helpful, insightful, very patient, and diagnosed me. Highly recommended. The wait probably was a while, My appointment was 11:30 and I saw the PA around 12:10. It was my first time there and I spent most of the time filling in paperwork. I had the day off, so iI didn't feel rushed. Everyone was friendly. Highly recommended! read more

I don't like this office at all. They make me wait more than an hour and half to see my doctor. When I asked the reception can i reschedule my appt, she kept telling me to wait a lil more and her 5 mins waiting time is equal 30+ mins. If anyone want to spend more than 2 hours waiting for the Dr. then this is the place. And the reception never let me know what is my co-payment at the time I visit. After 3+ months later, she send me statement and what i need to paid. This office is Ridiculous. read more

She is the best doctor that I've known... She took care all of my family member: my hubby, my 2 sons, and myself. She is great, gentle, caring... I think words cannot describe how great she is... My son often got high fever in the middle of the night, and I have to called Dr Bui and left messege. She called me back within an hour and told me what I need to do to reduce my son's fever: what kind of medicine, how much he needed, and how to take care of him. She is always there for me when I am in need. Not a complaining eventhough I called her at 2AM in the morning. Dr. Bui: you are the best, and we are greatful to have you as our doctor. About two months ago I was sick like a dog. I needed to find a doctor's office close to where I live. I found Dr. Bui's office on yelp and thought I'd give it a try. All I have to say is she is such a nice doctor and made you feel very comfortable. She is easy to talk to and knows what she is doing. Dr. Bui has been my doctor my whole life (17 years). She's always so honest with me, friendly, and is very confidential about any issues I have. When I wanted birth control, she told me ways of doing it without my mom because she knew I wasn't comfortable asking my mom to do it. She always tells me what she's worried about off-hand about my health and what is best for me. She asks me what's new in my life and warns me of stuff that may affect my health. Overall, she's very thorough, respects your privacy, educates you to the best of her ability, and always tries to understand your situation in your life. Personally, I think that's the best way to treat someone's health. More than anything, she treats me like a daughter or younger sister than a doctor, and I never feel uncomfortable when I come to see her ! read more

As much as I don't want more patients splitting Dr. Bui's time :), it is just not doing her justice without giving her a raving review on Yelp as Dr. Bui is probably the best doctor I have ever had. We all want to believe that all doctors naturally care about their patients and look at them like human beings but, sadly, that is rarely the case. Dr. Bui is NOT one of those doctors who'd walk into the room with her prescription pad in hand and just anxiously wait for you to drop that one key word so she knows what to write down. There is probably an app out there that can do just that, if not better. Dr. Bui is the doctor who called me on a Monday (her day off to catch up on paperwork) to discuss my lab result. She is also the doctor who called me on a Friday night at 7 PM (after her work hours) to let me know of a negative xray result so I can have peace of mind for my vacation. She talks to you like a friend and does not herd her patients out when your 15 minute appointment is up. I read a few reviews on people complaining about long wait time, I don't recall waiting for very long except maybe once, but her personal attention more than make up for any wait time. read more

Dr. Bui is good doctor but the office has changed the way to operate. Having a cold & virus brought me down to the Dr. Bui office again. But Dr. Bui was not the one to exam me but another PA. I has been insisted to get Dr. Bui to exam but the receptionist said her schedule is booked for the whole day. with the desperation to get well so can go back to work for next week, I went to see the PA. After the exam, she said i got a virus but no medicine would cure me. My body immune would fight off the virus. I just felt so suprised and i just wonder why i need to pay for the doctor's visit. I will not go back to this office again to got the suprise. If you would want to exam by the P.A. then there is your chance. read more
