Before the procedure, he spoke proudly about his hand technique being more skilled than using a laser machine. Unfortunately, my experience was devastating. The procedure removed layers of skin much more deeply than I expected, and the skin never recovered properly. I was left with permanent scarring and have spent more than 10 years trying to correct the damage and improve the appearance of my face. During my recovery, I was also asked to backdate a release so that he could continue treating me. I found that request deeply troubling and inappropriate. What makes this especially difficult is that I have to see the results every day when I look in the mirror. Instead of guiding me, she said right off the bat in an agitated tone "I don't know why you're not raising them. Maybe you're shy." This is not how you talk to patients, especially when they are already putting themselves in a vulnerable setting like a medical aesthetics office. This was just one of several things that rubbed me the wrong way. It's a shame, because I heard good things about her work. I may have been interested in working with her, if it were not for her off-putting nature during our consult. Instead, it was an immediate no for me after I left her office. Giving two stars because she at least gave some helpful info about potential treatments and pricing. But her bedside manner needs work.

Photo 1 was day of the surgery (before) and photo 2 was about a week later (pre stitch removal, still a little swelling) (after). the experience was great! Dr. Silkiss answered all my annoying questions I had about the procedure. Her office staff was friendly, responsive. There was a slight issue at first with my insurance company (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) but that got worked out and it was covered. The day of the surgery I went to Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek.. that was great! I woke up and it was done! I wasn't in any pain.. I didnt have to take any pain meds. I did accidently bump it with my hand once and that hurt a bit but other than that an overall great experience. It's now been a couple weeks since and at my follow up appoint Dr. Silkiss said it can take some time for all the swelling to go down. I've received many compliments from friends and family. Dr. Silkiss truly did a great job. I'm now considering going back to get my lower eyelid area (bags) done. I just need to find a way to convince insurance that it should be covered! :)

I waited for my appointment for quite some time and then upon approaching the date, they called and cancelled my appointment and offered to see me sooner than the long wait period to reschedule, if I would be willing to drive to Walnut Creek. When I went to the appointment, they asked for $175. I had gone through all the waiting and driving to Walnut Creek I gave them the $175 so I could meet with her. It wasn't a very informative appointment but she basically told me that the solution would not be covered by insurance and would cost around $5K...I can't recall what the exact amount was. I was troubled by the surprised $175 and emailed them about my experience. Dr Silkiss refunded me the $175 in what seemed to be a her effort to honor what was told me. a couple of years later, i needed to see an ophthalmologist and of course my doctor recommended her so I called to schedule a medical appointment and reception said they needed to call my eye doctor before making an appointment...hadn't heard back for a few days, and when my optometrist office called to tell me my glasses were ready I asked if Dr. Silkiss' office had called...my optometrist just called me and told me that he was supposed to tell me that Dr Silkiss refuses to see me. What? They made it the responsibility of my optometrist to tell me that THEY wouldn't see me? That seems wrong to put the burden on another doctor/business owner and to not have the courtesy of telling me the news and explaniation. I'm sure she's a great doctor, because my I trust my optometrist...and if standing behind the words of their office is not something they will do, then maybe they will mislead and not stand behind other things they say, that might be more important. I own a business for 40 years and have worked with many clients...i can't stand in agreement with their code of ethics and patient customer service. Get everything in writing if you use this practice.

I had liposuction done by Dr. Stompro in July of 2023. Leading up to the liposuction, I had some…read moredoubts specifically caused by one of the "medical" staff not knowing how to take a blood pressure? I'm a bigger lady and, because of that, need the bigger blood pressure cuff. The woman who took my blood pressure in the office used a small blood pressure cuff, causing a false reading of high blood pressure because it was severely constricting my arm. When I mentioned to her that I'm just fat but don't have high blood pressure, she just shrugged me off and told me to go to my doctor every few days to have my blood pressure checked leading up to the surgery. My doctor, being an actual medical professional, took my blood pressure correctly and determined that I did not have high blood pressure and immediately questioned if the woman that attempted to first take my blood pressure was even a doctor. Hilarious, inconvenient, but ultimately no big deal. My surgery date came and went and I immediately noticed afterward that I was having issues holding my pee. I mentioned this to the "medical" staff at Dr Stompro's office and they informed me that this is normal after surgery and that it should go away with time. When it didn't, I brought it up again and one of the "medical" staff at Dr. Stompro's office pointed out that it may be because of weakness in my abdomen or because of fat putting pressure on my bladder?? I don't know, whatever. So I continue on. I ignored it, I tried to treat it, and here we are. Y'all, I'm THREE YEARS past the surgery and I'm not even 30 and I'm still incontinent from this surgery. I've gone to a urologist that was too fat-phobic to even try to diagnose me, a physical therapist that figured it had to be because my pelvic floor was weak (then she determined it isn't), and another specialist that has finally determined that it may be a nerve issue (further testing needed). All we know is that I wasn't incontinent before the surgery and I am now. I called Dr. Stompro's office recently for the paperwork associated with my surgery so that I can pass it along to the specialist to see if it helps to determine a cause of the incontinence (and thus a fix) and the front desk person was rude for no reason?? I think she assumed I was getting the paperwork to sue?? I'm sure they all know I would have been able to sue because, and I cannot express this enough, INCONTINENCE IS NOT AN EXPECTED OUTCOME FOR LIPOSUCTION. Look, if I weren't outside of the statute of limitations I WOULD sue but, since I am, I just want to stop being incontinent. I'm still fat after my liposuction, which I don't mind! I'm soft and shapely and I love that, I just want to stop peeing on myself randomly. I'm now leaving reviews everywhere and filing a complaint against this office - I spent nearly $15,000 to be incontinent for potentially the rest of my life. I'd recommend another office, another doctor, another everything.
