Breakfast came and it looked good. I opened the wrapped utensils and noticed how dirty my fork was. I called her and told her to get me a clean fork. The utensils were still dirty. I ordered barbecue chicken nachos. What I got was an order of corn chips with about 1 grilled chicken strip cut up in pieces and they poor bbq sauce on the chips along with queso, pico and lettuce. It was very misleading and it was NOT good at all. A waste of money so don't order this. I picked through and ate the few pieces of grilled chicken bits. Seems I should have read the reviews before even attempting to place an order. I was in a hurry & my flight was scheduled to board in 20 mins. I thought that I could save time, scan the QR code and order a kid's burger-- figured "thinner, smaller, takes less time". 30 minutes later (flight delayed) my food was nowhere to be seen. I had to practically chase 2 different employees around - who blatantly ignored my every attempt to get their attention - to figure out if my order had even made it there. Unfortunately it had...so then I got to wait 10 more minutes (40 minutes for a kid's meal!) to get a cold, gross meal. I will say, though, that the kids burger was meaty. The service is usually friendly and I'm a big fan of the beer, the food is better and less overcharged than you'll expect but... however, you absolutely want to make sure you've got plenty of time. It takes longer to receive your order than you think it will, the mobile ordering only works sometimes, and it feels impossible to pay your bill in a timely fashion if you see your flight starting to board. read more

Sat at the bar after a short wait for the space to be cleaned. I hate having to scan a QR code for everything - including the beer on tap. Noted the woman behind the bar was totally rude to a customer asking for her check at the other end of the bar. Not a great tip strategy. The veggie burger was dry but came out hot. There isn't much positive I can say abt this place other than it's airport quality service and food. It's hard to mess up wings so I went with the "safe" choice but these wings were gross! They had barely no flavor other than the taste of pepper. I also had a soggy Caesar salad. When your flight gets delayed and you need to waste a few hours...why not sit and drink beer? Bae mostly worked (like wrote a big thing) and i mostly drank and read a dense magazine (the new yorker, of course). It was perfect. Our server didn't harass us (since we literally sat here for like 2 solid hours) and was so friendly. I enjoyed having a couple of local beers from Cincinnati and also ate a little of the pretzel and beer cheese that we ordered. This pretzel was larger than my head. I mean, share with two people if you aren't feeling a massive carb up! Reasonable prices considering you are in an airport and drinking local micro brews. Looked over my options for concourse A, checked reviews, walked by them all and decided on the Malt House. Had two cocktails as I had time. The bartender was nice and prompt. I decided to try some local foavir an bs chose the Angry Mac& cheese, spicy Mettwurst (a German sausage - like a polish sausage mated with a chorizo) cavatappi (curly macaroni type pasta), jalapeño cheddar sauce (not too spicy), topped with a little shredded cheese. I liked it but the sausage gave it an unusual but not in not unpleasant flavor. At $14.30 it was a bit pricey and so were...but it is the airport. Overall, a decent airport experience: food was goood and different, drink was made rigHt, service good, high priced. read more

Totally stunned by the attitude of the waitress here. I ordered a drink and she seemed annoyed that I didn't want food. She had time to walk around the bar four times and even SIT DOWN with another patron to joke around and flip the channels on the TV but never got around to making my drink. She did stop by twice and ask me again if I wanted food. I left after 20 minutes and she didn't at all seem bothered about it. Have you ever wondered if it's possible to gain superpowers? Wonder no more, because here at Christian Moerlein Brewing you too can become INVISIBLE. When I approached the bar a mere mortal with no superpowers, I asked if I could sit. I was given an affirmative "hrrrumph" with accompanying head nod from the bartender. It was after sitting down I realized I had gained the power of invisibility. I sat there for over 10 min minutes as both bartenders shuttled back and forth, neither one even glancing in my direction. Two more customers came in after I had sat down and were greeted (albeit begrudgingly) by the bartenders, confirming my suspicion that only I was invisible. After 20 total minutes of uninterrupted sitting, I decided to test if despite being invisible they could still hear my voice, "May I order please?", I asked. The bartenders did pause their conversation with each other, but after deciding it must have been a ghost, carried on. At this point I was curious to see how long my power of invisibility would last. After close to 40 minutes of sitting there, I was resigned to the fact I was forever lost in the invisible world. My husband, step daughter, and I dined there on November 3, 2019 at around 5:30pm. To sum it up quickly: Our waitress was crying for some reason (during our whole time there) and our service was awful. The cheese board we ordered was disgusting for paying $17.60 - they were out of our selected cheeses, and instead of asking what we wished to replace it with, they simply gave us our cheese replacements without consulting with us. The meats that were included looked like old cold cuts. We complained to the woman who finally waited on us, but no apologies were made and nothing was done to resolve these issues. We would have demanded a refund, but everything had already taken forever (because of the issue with our original waitress) and we were running late for our flight. What a horrible experience with Moerlein Taphouse at CVG airport. Never have I felt preyed upon or taken advantage of at a bar like this. Let me explain: My girlfriend and I had a flight departing from gate A14 which is right across from this taphouse and we had 25-30 minutes to spare. We thought we'd share a cocktail while we wait and let the waitress know we were waiting to board and wanted one drink to share quickly. Our first two orders they couldn't make because they were "out" of orange juice despite the abundance of bottles fully stocked at the register. 3 out of the 6 cocktails required orange juice and the waitress refused to open up one of the bottles to make us a $10-$15 drink. I was disappointed but joked that if they could make up for it with a "heavy hand" on the "Mosie Mule" then we'd fare just fine. The waitress just smiled and said this and only this "I'll see what we can do" she then walked over to the bartender and said some things with a smile which made me feel good (short lived). Upon receiving the drink, it was filled all the way above the brim with ice and was gone in 2-3 sips. Seemed to be below average strength and quantity. When our flight started boarding, My girlfriend went to the bathroom while I tried to get (any of the) waitresses attention for about 10 minutes but felt ignored. Finally our waitress walked over with her hand out to take my card. I assumed she was being respectful of my time crunch by immediately taking for my card but BOY WAS I WRONG. Upon receiving the bill to sign, I was charged for two drinks rather than one. I politely got our waitresses attention to have it correctly but was met with the entire staff getting defensive claiming I asked for a "more alcohol" and that "giving away free alcohol is illegal." My friendly joke about having a "heavy hand" to compensate for failing to make half their cocktails ended with me paying twice the amount by the predatory staff. I asked to speak to someone about it and the whole staff played dumb claiming only a manager could change the bill and there was "no way to get in touch with him in less than 20 minutes before our flight left" He/she was "not around and doesn't answer his phone" I highly recommend going anywhere else if they continue the staff employees who take advantage of travelers and illegally overcharge without giving the customer the chance to review their bill. I will be reporting this business to the BBB if I do not get a refund for the amount I was overcharged. What a crappy start to my vacation. Had they charged extra for ice, I really would have been out of luck. Do yourself a favor and go to Sam Adam's on the other side and stay away from this place! read more

Server was cool, but she was very distracted with her phone on multiple occasions, ignoring the entire bar for 10min increments while she stared at her phone. This place was just okay. The food was tiny for the price amount, the two pieces of toast were cold, tater's were good. The bartender had no energy to serve, It was pretty depressing. I was charged coffee on top of a double shot of baileys. $17 drink for a very small pour and the coffee was horrible, their was pieces of coffee ground on the mug. The only reason I am giving one star at all is the food, it was pretty decent and we had a food voucher to use anyways. The bartenders on the other hand were absolutely horrible, especially Brianna. It was an extremely stressful morning as our flight had been delayed 5 separate times. I had been at the airport since 6:15 am after making the hour and a half drive from Lexington to then find out our flight was already delayed. After having two drinks total in a span of 2 hours, I was exhausted from the morning and decided to rest my head down in my arms at the bar. After a few minutes, I was suddenly interrupted by the bartender suddenly tapping the bar top in front of me loudly saying "um ma'am you can't fall asleep at the bar because people will think you're drunk." Now, I know that she wasn't exactly incorrect, but the way she went about telling me was extremely disrespectful. Having been pretty embarrassed and surprised by her statement, I turned to one of my friends and mumbled "have you been awake since 3:45 am and only had 1 and a half hours of sleep?". In no way was I directing it to her, I was merely extremely frustrated because of the circumstances and was speaking to my friend. She then turned to me from across the bar and very rudely said "excuse me???" with the biggest attitude you can imagine. I was shocked by her blatant response and said nothing in return. This has been the worst experience at an airport restaurant/bar I have ever had regardless of my delayed flight situation. This was suppose to be a fun bachelorette weekend with friends I haven't seen in years. I hate that it started off on such a bad note.
