Went to this doctor for a PCP first visit. The first visit was told I could only bring up two things by staff. Then when the doctor came in for the first visit he interrupted me after asking me what brought me in I started going over my medical ailments. He interrupted me within 11 seconds of my telling him my medical history and said we are not going to do that. He could only address two items in a single visit. Which ended up causing a potentially worse issue down the road because I had an ear infection that was put way down on the (two items) list. So I had to schedule an emergency appointment with them. (They were able to fit me in the next day) Which cost me another copay and more expensive medication that could have simply been taken care of at the first visit. Then I asked them to certify I have a spinal stimulator in my back and they said they would only do the form and not click on a link that is a PGE URL. I get him and his reluctance to click on a link from a client. However, there are ways to see if a link is malicious. I'm sure he has IT! It's always good to have a PCP that you can go to when you're feeling a little off or you need a referral for a more specific issue or concern. I found Dr. Christian through a search on my insurance provider website. Appointments weren't too far out in the future which is a good thing. Office staff sent me the check in papers so I didn't have to fill them out at the appointment. The doctor is very personable and he takes his time to listen and answer questions to the best of his ability. I feel he gave me honest and realistic responses to my concerns. He offered a few choices of doctors when it came to specialists that I needed to see. He also had a sense of humor which is good to lighten the mood. I think I have all my current "ailments" checked out and I'm good to go for a bit. read more

Just like some many other doctors that I'd been to ,they also could care less about their patients care.if its to complicated they want you gone . Whats complicated in 99% doctors eyes? A patient who speaks up for herself, asks questions, has concerns. I tried to explain, that because of the fact for over 12yrs doctors have neglected just like they have ,to notify me that I'm low on certain nutrients. I just had major back surgery, that could have been prevented by properly monitoring of potassium, and so many other difcency issues .if Carla would have let me explain. All my complicated issues as she called them,could have been uncomplicated years ago if the past primary physician hadn't done to me ,exactly what they are doing.not reporting a need for supplements. They've only been seeing a few months and how can they know where to go in my health care if they dont know all the facts of where I've been .as if i don't know how to read a lab report. From 2011 to 2020 I was misdiagnosed of bloodpressure. It went away permanently after I started taking potassium my body straved for ,for years due to to many surgeries setting of the low difcency issues .I know I have all the lab reports going back to 2006 .doctors like this has been the source to my health issues. They want stupid patients to dictate to ,not talk with or get to know or try to understand anything about .yet I was right about my spine that was misdiagnosed 3yrs ago and almost killed over at memorial hospital. Took a doc down in Torrance to listen and see that yes I was right.my spinal cord had fused itself to my virdabreahs making bowel movements impossible. I just wanted a Dr to give me an annual physical once a year as covered by my insurance. Was told I had to have a new patient appointment first and three years later after 4 blood works taken and 3 visits I still had yet to receive my annual physical or meet Dr Christian. Since my deductible was not met and it was not an annual physical all expenses were out of pocket. When they called to make an appointment for review of my most recent blood work with the PA, I once again asked if I could make this part of an annual physical? They told me that there were no appointments available for an annual physical so I told them I was not willing to come in until there was one available. They sent me a registered letter informing me that they would no longer provide me service. The PA seemed competent but never really examined me, just reviewed the numbers of my blood work. Coming from someone who worked in the medical field and knows the protocol... This review is for the physicians assistant, Pamela, who offers ZERO PATIENT CARE. Worst PA I have ever seen. I came in here as a new patient (new to area) with awful pains in my lower back and front, crying pain. She suggests, "oh it's probably muscular". She sends me home with a laxative samples. However, I requested an x-ray to be sure. (Friday) Long story short, I ended up in the ER 2 days later (Sunday) with kidney stones. She calls me (Monday) with the results from x-ray. I have multiple stones in the poles, and SHE IS LAUGHING while telling me MY RESULTS, but still insists my pain is muscular. Glad my pain gives you joy. Really? You are an ******* *****!!! One word, Karma! Hope you enjoy yours. I DO NOT recommend this practice. It's literally a joke. read more

I do not recommend this Dr he is very forgetful, sends prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, he will not prescribe a lot of medication he just tells you to see a specialist for that medication like albuterol for asthma or advair or even simple medication's for high blood pressure like coreg tells you too see a cardiologist it's like he doesn't want to bear any responsibility and just wants to throw it off on a specialist. read more

I was so disappointed in this doctors office and the way I was treated. I didn't see doctor Christian I saw the PA and she was so rude to me. I just moved to Bakersfield and was looking for a MD so I went here. I was under care for multiple issues with my last doctor who was very involved with my care and issues and because of the medications I'm on the PA made me feel like I was just seeing her for a drug fix. She didn't contact my other doctors or even ask me about the care I was under she just told me their office wasn't able to help me with care. I have never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully. I wouldn't even give them one star but you have too. I established with Dr. Christian, yes very friendly. I have had general good health but needed a pcp. I started having some issues and got conflicting diagnosis from him and his PA. The topper was that I got prescribed a medication that was completely inappropriate with my problem. I filed my concerns with his wife the office manager (conflict of interest) and made arrangement to pay off my small bill. In turn I got a letter from them dropping me from his care and sent me to collections. If you just want a friendly place by all means go...if you want quality knowledgeable health care DO NOT take the risk. read more

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Christian for years and loved him and thought he was a wonderful Dr. until an emergency occurred. If you want a doctor that you can speak to in an emergency situation, DO NOT GO HERE. My husband had a gallbladder attack and ended up in emergency on a Saturday morning. After hours there, they sent him home with pain meds and an appointment to see a specialist the following Tuesday afternoon. By Monday morning, my husband couldn't take the pain any longer. I called Dr. Christian's office and wanted to speak to him about my husbands situation and find out if he could get us in o another doctor sooner. I DID NOT receive a return phone call so I called again. I was told that "It was not Dr. Chrstian's protocol to return phone calls". His wife returned my call to reiterate that he doesn't return phone calls. I told her that I wasn't calling about an over the counter flu medicine and again explained to her what happened to my husband and that I needed to talk to "our doctor". She told me I could bring him into the office to speak to the Dr. We were so hurt that he didn't care enough to call us. Maybe he just wanted another office visit pay / copay. Needless to say, we won't be back and found a wonderful Dr. that was shocked when we told him the story and said, "They always return patient calls". Maybe Dr. Christian should consider doing this if he doesn't want to lose more patients. read more
