My fiance and I stumbled into Linda's prior location (further East on Pearl Street) after spending a couple hours wandering between other jewelry shops on East Pearl. We were looking for someone who could design an engagement ring / matching wedding band for a diamond that my fiance had received as a gift from her aunt. Everyone else wanted to sell us rings they already had. When we came in and met with Linda she focused in on exactly what we wanted, helped us rough out a design, and gave us a firm, fair quote. She was communicative with us throughout the process, which was completed in what I considered a very reasonable time frame. My husband and I first went into Christine Marguerite about 2 years ago when we were looking to have our wedding bands made. We met Linda, the owner, who proposed melting down one bar of rose gold to create both of our bands. She sized us and created the rings. When we returned a few months later to pick them up we put them on and have never taken them off! They fit PERFECTLY! Not at all tight, yet even swimming in the ocean there is no concern of them falling off. Truly remarkable! I recently got my wedding ring repaired here when the stone fell out. We had a good interaction with the owner when arranging the repair, and I bought a spare stone, in case it fell out again some time in the distant future. My understanding of what the owner said was that if it fell out again soon after the repair, then they would repair it without charging me again. The stone did fall out after only 2.5 months. When I went back to the store they said that they would fix it. After a few weeks they called me and asked me to pay again for the repair - the same as the original price. I went two blocks west on Pearl St and found a very nice jeweler, whose estimate to fix the stone in the ring was half the price that I paid Christine Marguerite, and he gave me options of which way I would like to fix it in. So - I give them a bad rating - because they don't stand by their repairs and they charged me too much. I was shocked that they didn't stand by their repair, or their word. #update after comment 3/31/2016. I didn't lose the extra stone - I still have it. My wife took the ring back to the seller in South Korea, and they replaced the stone free of charge. It's been in the ring now since last August with no problems. Also the other 12 stones inlaid into the edge of the ring are all still good. Writing a response a year later and just trying to make it sound like my fault is understandable, and I wouldn't expect anything else. read more

The ladies who work there (I've now met three) exude kindness, competence, and are just as engaging as can be. I have a 1938 engagement ring, and they custom designed 2 bands that not only fit around the ring perfectly but mimic the vintage style with lots of intricate details. I gave the ring to my daughter, she loved it. However after wearing it for about 18 hours, one of the posts broke and a Pearl was lost. This was upsetting to her and us both. I'm not sure repairing it to the original design is the answer as it does not seem stable and would probably re-break. Owner offered to repair but I'm going to deal with it on my own... Which of course voids the warranty. read more
