I have been having my hair cut, colored and styled; manicures and pedicures eyebrow waxing and facials at Christine's for almost 10 years now. Ken is the only one who touches my hair but that's not a slam against the ladies at all. The gal who does my nails is an ARTIST! My current pedi is a St. Patrick's Day theme and I'm already planning my Easter design. Their pricing is *more* than reasonable especially given the quality of the "product." Like many of you, I too thought the place didn't look like an upscale salon but the results sure looked like I'd just strolled out of one. I would highly recommend it to anyone...I even took my 87 year old father there last week for a bit of pampering and he looks and feels years younger. read more

I took my 18month for a haircut..and the old lady cutting hair pushed him from his shoulder backwards..i thought she made a mistake, bc he was crying n scared. Then she pushed him again harder and on his head too. Thats when i stopped her and said pls don't do that..hes getting upset then she said what horrible child i dont cut hair and i honestly blew up. I was so mad, she pushed him on purpose while cutting hair and was not patient at all, n on top of it was bad mouthing my child. I asked to speak to manager, she said she was the manager. Horrrible people. I would never take my kids their again. Im actually thinking of pressing charges on the lady n establishment for touching my baby in that manner. Poor poor service. Threating people like they getting a haircut for free. read more

I'd request for Lisa if I were you. She is the best and most knowledgable there. This is no secret as you'll notice that she's ALWAYS busy while the others are just sitting there chilling. You'll have to make an appointment, but Sundays won't work since that's her day off. She's good at pretty much everything - waxing, nails, hair cuts, hair color. You name it, she's great at it! There was a time I decided to venture out and try another stylist. BIG mistake. Don't do it or you'll regret it. A lot. There's a specific lady I have in mind that ALWAYS messes up people's hair but I don't know her hame. PS: It's only $18 for a woman's haircut! read more

I scheduled an appointment with dong for 6 pm. Wen I arrived at the salon He was already with a customer at that time. Kept me waiting till 6:40 n then wen i see him help another customer I walked up to him to ask n his reply was that he forgot that my appointment was scheduled. N then tells me to wait for for some time n after waiting for 10 minutes he tells me that there are 2 more people whom he will be helping before me. THANKS A LOT For WASTING MY TIME. Ask for Tina! She's great! She's off on Tuesdays so don't go on a Tuesday! I'm very particular about my hair and super picky, so my standards for hair is above and beyond. Take my word for it and ask for Tina. She has been my go to person for hair advice and hair products! She also can do eyebrow waxes. I've had that done, bang trims, haircuts (layering and even a bob style), shampooing, hi-light treatment, and a perm, all done by the same person. I highly recommend this salon. Even though it looks quite run down, this salon is not bad. Pricing is great too. It's not crazy expensive and don't forget to leave a tip if you're happy with the service! I asked for Lisa like all the other Yelpers suggested and she turned out wonderful!! She listened to me carefully and did exactly as I stated. She did not take much of a risk on my hair cause she wanted to make sure it came out right. I came in with pitch black hair done by box coloring and she took her time to correct it to my natural hair color. I will surely be coming back. I paid $100.00 with tip for hair-correcting/color and haircut. I guess the price is decent being I have very thick hair. read more

First impression was " oh, not too fancy".... As I had gone to Visable changes in the Sugar Land mall - all fancy fancy!!! But let me tell you this was the BEST experience I have had in a long long time. Lisa is my gal, she LISTENS to what I want before she does anything. Color, highlights, cut.... She aims to make you happy. And it's a one stop place - at the mall you tip your hostess, tip your colorist, tip your shampoo man or woman, tip your stylist.... Ok,should be zero stars, I went here due to all the yelp praise , asked for Lisa and unfortunately my experience was not the same as theirs. I asked for one hairstyle and wound up being talked into something totally different: "it will make you look young", "The other not look good on you", "It will look ugly like you got out of bed" so rather than an asymmetrical long bob I wound up with a short layered mullet. Now this does look ugly. My hair is naturally thick and wavy, it was down to the middle of my back, with long layers, and has cowlicks all of which she kept pointing out and I kept saying I do not want to flat iron it everyday, and she said 'no I just flat iron to see how layers are, it will look good curly", and now it has to be flat ironed or it looks like a frizzy short man's hair, and flat ironed looks just like a mullet with the back strings reaching right below my shirt collar, with sticks standing up all over and it is choppy and uneven and the "bangs" keep stabbing my eyes. I had to ask her to please stop cutting , and thinning before I had no hair at all. Oh and It was all done dry, no shampoo , she said she didn't feel like shampooing it. There were alot of men getting $6 haircuts , no women, which should have made me reconsider but I kept saying the yelpers say at least 4 stars...Have you ever had a haircut where people try to act like they do not know you got a haircut because it looks so bad there are no words to say? That is this hair, today, the one thing they say when I say "what do you think?" is "it will grow" . $30 . read more

Go to Lisa! She really did a great job in hair cut and eyebrow threading! I don't think there could be anyone as perfect as her :) My husband used to get his haircuts from Bich and he was always satisfied. Moving away from Houston we definitely miss this not so fancy place. read more

My mother and I went to christines to have long layered haircuts for our thick wavy hair. My mom was first and Lisa cut her hair. She asked to leave it long as it was almost to her pant line and thin it out a little. About 15 minutes later (including the wash time) her hair tips were 1 inch below the shoulders! Lisa had cut off 5-6 inches of hair! The cut was very choppy, uneven and the hair thinning sheers left it looking frizzy. She compared it to a shaggy dogs tail. My mother paid her then went outside to cry :( I got Ellen for my hair and it was a worse cut than my mothers! Ellen began cutting my hair but left 3 times to deal with another woman who was getting a perm. Every time she resumed my haircut she picked up on a different section. My hair also looked choppy, frizzy, and uneven. When I voiced my concerns she proceeded to tell me "it look good, like layer, you want layer". She tried telling me "i fix for you" but I refused as my hair was originally so long the ends reached my belly button & when she finished, it ended between my shoulder blades! She had hacked off about 4 inches! We were both deviated and I will NEVER set foot in christines again! read more
