There are a few entry points to the trail so choose wisely but there is one with a parking lot that may provide better selections. Altogether the trail is very fun and allows for great photo ops with pets and family alike, with some even deciding to get in the water (if you do choose to do that be careful cause the rocks are slippery).

COP is that nice spot in the Domain right between North and Cru where the fountain, fireplace, and giant armadillo abide. There are also a few wooden rockers, a squishy floor, some cool functional art pieces, and many shade trees. This makes for a lovely waiting area while your partner shops down the street or you bide time for your name to come up on a nearby restaurant waitlist. Check the Domain website for information about free seasonal events here such as live music, holiday celebrations and the like. FYI, the clean, air conditioned mall restrooms are just a few steps down the block between Steeping Room and Apple. They even have a family restroom!

Every Saturday 11 am- 3 pm in the Juliet parking lot is the Arboretum Farmers Market. For a light lunch I shared a Caesar salad and cup of tomato bisque soup with my boyfriend. Perfect Juliet goodness. Since it was Mother's Day and during brunch hours, they got extremely busy. However, service didn't suffer. We were in and out just like that!

Our server was very nice and helpful but often we couldn't locate her so others we could flag down helped us. The pizza on the other hand was bland too but the pecorino and cheese from Cacio e pepe tasted perfect and the combo just kept it going. Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere. Getting a parking spot is a nightmare. I would recommend reservations and arriving early and parking around the park.

Parking is very accessible nearby and the options to sit inside, covered, and outside allow for a lot of variation here. We came for an early dinner when the place was very quiet so service was quick and attentive as well. The inside features some TVs and a bar so it may be a decent place to sneak in a game while eating a nicer dinner than one you'd get at a sportsbar. To start our meal we ordered the chef's focaccia which comes with olive oil, vinegar, and parmesan cheese baked into it as well as an order of the meatballs. The focaccia was alright, pretty bland to be honest with not much of the parmesan coming through, definitely helped out by the olive oil and vinegar. The meatballs however, were fantastic. Very soft and light, unlike a lot of other places where finishing one is a meal in itself. The meatballs come plated with a nice cream and sauce alongside it. They do also bring our table bread with a tomato sauce which was decent, nothing to write home about. For our main course we got a spaghetti pomodoro (not on the menu) and the strozzapreti lamb ragu. The spaghetti was hearty and covered with a heaping amount of sauce, very filling. The strozzapreti was also very good with a nice, light citrus flavor to it matching a nice chew to the pasta and a very well cooked and tender lamb. The portion sizes are a bit smaller so be prepared for that, but it doesn't take away from how good the food was. Between good service, very good food, and a nice setting, Taverna is an excellent choice for Italian in The Domain, maybe even the best. A great spot for a casual date night, hangout, or just a drink. Be sure to give it a try.

There were a few ladies who cancelled for the speed dating portion, so I received an email invitation for the prior event and was able to attend it as well! I do have to say that I definitely preferred the speed dating portion as it was more organized in general and I felt that it better enabled us to spend time with someone. The particular icebreaker used during the second portion was a little too disjointed for me and it was hard to actually talk to anyone! Altogether, I really enjoyed the evening, but the speed dating was more fun!

I got invited to an event to celebrate their new happy hour menu and sampled many of those new items. The lasagna dip was my favorite since you literally get a bowl of pasta free lasagna and then a side of homemade chips. It was delicious. My only complaint is that the chips get a bit salty and after several that wore on me, but didn't stop me. The spinach arancini are very crispy and deep fried on the outside and nice a creamy on the inside. Very delicious. I had 3 of them. The mezzaluna fritte is like a cross between a deep fried ravioli or a breaded piece of chicken. Tasty and crunchy on the outside like a breaded chicken and soft on the inside like a ravioli. I didn't eat the shrimp focaccia bites, but my friends said they were delicious and fresh. Another fave of mine was the rosemary parmesan wings...oooh so good (just the name should tell you what they tasted like) and they were cooked perfectly to be be tender. For drinks I ordered a Rose Sangria with light ice so i could enjoy the fruit bits floating in it as well as the sangria. It was very refreshing and I got a little buzz from it. The ambiance is very cozy in the dining room and bar area. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to us. I can't wait to go back now that I know what its all about!
