The Arboretum Market (not to be confused with the actual shopping plaza across the street of the same name) was happening and some folks were set up at Juliet selling their arts & crafts wares. Every Saturday 11 am- 3 pm in the Juliet parking lot is the Arboretum Farmers Market. For a light lunch I shared a Caesar salad and cup of tomato bisque soup with my boyfriend. Perfect Juliet goodness. Since it was Mother's Day and during brunch hours, they got extremely busy. However, service didn't suffer. We were in and out just like that!

The butter lettuce dressing was off (more oil than vinaigrette flavor b/c they didn't mix the dressing well), they didn't offer welcome bread service, and my friends also felt their food was not as good as when we've all been before. They did take off some of the price of two of our butter lettuce salads. We were surprised that adding salmon cost $14, which seemed excessive! It was nice they seated us in a separate table for 6 since it was my birthday and they did give me a birthday treat, which I appreciated. The others all ordered deserts as well but I forgot to take photos of the deserts. They didn't seem that full/busy, but we had to waive down someone several times to answer questions and ask where certain items were. Our server was very nice and helpful but often we couldn't locate her so others we could flag down helped us. I hope they address some of the food quality and service items because many of us have really enjoyed going here in the past.

Located on what may as well be called Restaurant Row in The Domain is Taverna, an Italian…read morerestaurant with a genuine European feel and great food. Parking is very accessible nearby and the options to sit inside, covered, and outside allow for a lot of variation here. We came for an early dinner when the place was very quiet so service was quick and attentive as well. The inside features some TVs and a bar so it may be a decent place to sneak in a game while eating a nicer dinner than one you'd get at a sportsbar. To start our meal we ordered the chef's focaccia which comes with olive oil, vinegar, and parmesan cheese baked into it as well as an order of the meatballs. The focaccia was alright, pretty bland to be honest with not much of the parmesan coming through, definitely helped out by the olive oil and vinegar. The meatballs however, were fantastic. Very soft and light, unlike a lot of other places where finishing one is a meal in itself. The meatballs come plated with a nice cream and sauce alongside it. They do also bring our table bread with a tomato sauce which was decent, nothing to write home about. For our main course we got a spaghetti pomodoro (not on the menu) and the strozzapreti lamb ragu. The spaghetti was hearty and covered with a heaping amount of sauce, very filling. The strozzapreti was also very good with a nice, light citrus flavor to it matching a nice chew to the pasta and a very well cooked and tender lamb. The portion sizes are a bit smaller so be prepared for that, but it doesn't take away from how good the food was. Between good service, very good food, and a nice setting, Taverna is an excellent choice for Italian in The Domain, maybe even the best. A great spot for a casual date night, hangout, or just a drink. Be sure to give it a try.

Service was so-so but I think that might have been hit or miss because other tables were definitely getting their orders faster or getting waters to the table (despite being seated after us so maybe our guy just sucked ass). Food wasn't bad though the focaccia was not what I expected--less fluffy and more flat. My only review was it was fine...I've just had better food and better service in the Domain so if I had to choose between here and elsewhere. I'd take the few extra steps

I got invited to an event to celebrate their new happy hour menu and sampled many of those new items. The lasagna dip was my favorite since you literally get a bowl of pasta free lasagna and then a side of homemade chips. It was delicious. My only complaint is that the chips get a bit salty and after several that wore on me, but didn't stop me. The spinach arancini are very crispy and deep fried on the outside and nice a creamy on the inside. Very delicious. I had 3 of them. The mezzaluna fritte is like a cross between a deep fried ravioli or a breaded piece of chicken. Tasty and crunchy on the outside like a breaded chicken and soft on the inside like a ravioli. I didn't eat the shrimp focaccia bites, but my friends said they were delicious and fresh. Another fave of mine was the rosemary parmesan wings...oooh so good (just the name should tell you what they tasted like) and they were cooked perfectly to be be tender. For drinks I ordered a Rose Sangria with light ice so i could enjoy the fruit bits floating in it as well as the sangria. It was very refreshing and I got a little buzz from it. The ambiance is very cozy in the dining room and bar area. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to us. I can't wait to go back now that I know what its all about!
