My personal favorite Italian joint. Always amazing. Always delicious. Great pizza, great salads and a truly scrumptious red sauce (gravy).

FIVE MILLION STARS FOR REALES! If you're craving authentic Italian food, run--don't walk--to Reales. My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week (and order takeout from here at least once a week, too). It's that good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in the coziest atmosphere. It truly feels like you've been invited to your Nonna's dining room table--comforting, delicious, and full of heart.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails are fantastic, and three nights a week you can enjoy live music that makes everything feel even more magical. Shoutout to Thomas on Saxophone The menu is huge, in the best way. There are a million options and somehow every single dish is incredible, so it never gets old. In my usual rotation though: meatballs, calamari, Marie's salad, chicken parmesan, and white pizza!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the perfect spot whether you're bringing kids or planning a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A special shoutout to Bobby, our favorite server--he always makes us feel so welcome and somehow anticipates what we need before we even know we need it. Truly the best. We love this place so much. The only downside? They're closed on Sundays, which honestly feels tragic when you're craving Reales. Which proves even further how amazing it is if we eat from here 2 out of 6 days! We can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Five million stars!

Decided to visit here because I had a craving for Italian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is cozy. Nothing super fancy here... not to me, at least.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff took good care of me. Ordered the Shrimp Alfredo. I agree with the guy in the booth behind me when he said the sauce could've been thicker. The shrimps were large. The bread was served warm and seasoned well. Jury is out on whether I'll return. I do recommend this place, however.

We enjoyed the Two Lobster Valentine's day special. Special seasoning on shell offered a nice complement to to lobster meat itself. We usually come Monday evening when slow - Packed at 5 on VD but service was top notch

Today is Friday and I decided to come to reales and spend an evening with myself reading a book and eating good food. They had the Lenten special, it's a plate described as "Juicy jumbo shrimp dusted in flour and sautéed to perfection, topped with a lemon garlic butter white wine cream sauce. Served with mushrooms risotto and grilled asparagus. With the choice of soup and salad" I chose a salad :) " This was definitely cooked to perfection by my favorite cook Cristian. The flavors are amazing! I had to stop and write this review before I even finished my plate because I don't want to rush through the flavors. My first drink was made from Julie, a lemon drop martini and it was refreshing, sweet but not overwhelming a perfect drink to start my night. I asked Jay Jay to make me a Mexican martini because she checked up on me and OMG this Mexican martini is DEFINITELY a Mexican Martini to perfection!! Love it!!! Reales is a place to come and relax after a long week of working so hard, everyone is super friendly and everyone makes you feel very welcomed always with a smile and providing amazing customer service! Joel is also a great guy, always making sure the staff is taken care of which trickles to customers being treated even better! This is a must visit Italian restaurant!

Service was great! The appetizer trio was just meh. Would not order it again. We got stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and mozzarella sticks. The cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks was wildly long and the marinara good. The stuffed mushrooms had a very unappealing texture and just weren't all that great. The bruschetta was made of really fresh ingredients, but the overall dish lacked a flavor punch that I was expecting. Side salads were pretty good. The breadsticks got a mixed review from the table with some finding them very tasty and others finding them a bit chewy. Their pizza has the best crust that I've ever experienced. Underneath it is perfectly crispy. I simply couldn't believe it. We got the eggplant parmigiana and the carbonara. Both were pretty good, but certainly not the best ever. When stood up against our longtime favorite, this did not win out, unfortunately. We've heard such rave reviews, but we didn't see what was so spectacular.

I love Chicken Marsala but can't eat eggs. Is the chicken dipped in egg before cooking? Is there any egg used in your sauce? Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for asking. There are no eggs in Chicken Marsala! I hope you enjoy one soon - it’s one of my favorites.

Make note of their hours as well because they are closed in middle of day. 4-8pm I'm the afternoon does not give a big window to choose your dining time. But the restaurant checks all the boxes. Great ambience. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Tasty food. Big outdoor space for little ones to play. Convenient location. Decent pricing. The salads are served on big trays which makes sharing easy (even when I didn't really want to share my yummy tossed salad with toasted garbanzo beans and Chunks of fresh mozzarella and a super yummy dressing. The pasta and pizza tasted really good. From an owner of a few pizza places in Houston, I was disappointed in the crispness of the dough. I don't care for pizza that can hold its shape when being held. But if I just told myself it was bread instead- I enjoyed it. It was really the pasta and salad for me. We didn't try too much because we were actually surprised it was open. Many friends mentioned the desserts were to die for. Even Guy on DDD mentioned the caramel rolls were what cinnamon rolls wish they could be. He also LOVED the pastrami sandwiches. So I'd i could do a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 9 for the extra work we had to put in to align with their limited open hours and for the soggy crust. But highest marks on the rest. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.
