My dental HMO coordinated this appointment after finding out there was a closer dentist to my home in network. The appointment was made almost two months out. I was left a message on 4/19 to confirm the appointment and i returned the call and left a message to confirm on 4/23. I use my personal cell along w the office phone for business daily with builders, contractors etc. So after a busy day when i missed a call from an unknown source I didn't give any thought to it. The call was 4/25 @ 9:07 am the day before my appointment. My father is in hospice and i left work to go to the facility where he was at to tend to him. Today i went and visited my dad since i had the day off for my appointment and then called the dentist office to let them know i would be 3 min late due to traffic. The lady was rude saying she left multiple messages that i was not assigned to their office and they couldn't honor the appointment. She said i called you today - you didn't answer.. I was w my father that's dying.. my phone was on vibrate. 2 calls... The day before and the day of. That is not multiple calls or advanced notice. Had they had done their due diligence when they called me to confirm my appointment, they would have seen I was not assigned to them and they could have rectified it then, but they didn't because they didn't do their job... They waited until the day before, which is highly incompetent. I called Cigna so they could sort it out since they made the appointment. The representative let me know that that was not the case that actually the dentist office could still honor the appointment and assign me to themselves. She herself called the dentist office and they refused. The Cigna representative was very helpful and found me another dentist office. I was able to get an appointment at a completely different dentist office. They have MyChart, they have multiple ways to communicate with their patients, they're very friendly, and very professional. I have to drive further, but after the experience that I had, it'll be worth it. This dentist office does not care about people, they are not professional, they are not timely and they are rude. They have an archaic system for communicating with patients and they never answer their phones. Looks like my review mirrors the myriads of other reviews. Steer clear. If i could give no stars i would. my boyfriend was in pain due to his wisdom teeth and they refused to see him because he was 6 minutes late and didn't bring a mask. they then wanted to charge him $5 just for the mask AFTER he was already sat down in the chair. lady at desk was rude as hell and needs to be fired read more

This place started out great friendly people and great doctor. All the sudden we've had to be rescheduled multiple times I had an appointment in August that had to be rescheduled to October then I get A call that they now have to Reschedule until late November. I pleaded with them on the phone that I need to get in there in the next two weeks. The lady in the phone had not a Care in the world. I told her this was completely unacceptable and that they need to figure out what they need to do to reschedule me. Clearly, zero customer Service and very quick to rush me off the phone. I asked her if she could speak to the doctor and see if they can definitely squeeze me in (not we will check cancellations) she refused to do that and rushed me off the phone instead. I have a schedule at my job that I cannot make an appointment in November or December. Now I'm at the point where it's gonna be probably close to a year by the time I can make another appointment. Absolutely unacceptable when you reschedule people if you have to work a couple nights late, that's how a business is ran especially when you cancel on me two separate times! And then push me back more than two months each time. Your front desk is the face of the company if they're not willing to work with customers on your mistake not Mind, then you're gonna lose a lot more people especially when people are basically going to the dentist once a year because of your cancellations this needs to be rectified immediately read more

I've been a happy patient of Dr. Anene and his staff for ten years now. I wrote a review three years ago and it really hasn't changed. I typically get the same hygienist, Kareena, who is super thorough and will get your teeth squeaky clean while you are in her chair. Everyone is always in a good mood which makes for a better experience. I typically get two reminder calls as well which is helpful. The only bad part is having a pre-lunch appointment because then when I leave, I don't want to eat lunch! Note that they are closed Monday. read more

Dr. Anene is not a bad dentist, but his front staff is horrible. You can call during business hours but there is a minimal chance they will answer. If you leave a voice mail, they may call you back or they may listen to it and never call you back, even if it's to make an appointment. When I got desperate to make an appointment due to tooth pain I had to call consistently. This has been a trend for the past few years in which he was my dentist. The straw that broke the camels back for me is that they scheduled me for an appointment, told me the wrong day, and now are trying to charge me a fee for their mistake. (She even had the audacity to tell me she "reminded me" about the appointment on the day they made it for me and lied to me about given me a reminder call for the incorrectly scheduled appointment). I went to the office to collect my records and to let Dr. Anene know of the situation, however the office manager, who created the bad situation, would not allow it. In short, if you open to go to a dentist with a front staff that makes it a nightmare to get an appointment and may charge you extra for their mistakes, this dentist is for you. read more

This was the worst medical office I've ever dealt with. On our first visit we waited more than an hour for our appointment. They will call to confirm appointments but If you make the mistake and use this office be aware- if you call back and "confirm" they likely won't record that and they drop your appointment. They claim to keep phone records to track when patients confirm appointments but even if you confirm your appointment they will not have records of it. If you call back be sure to record the call yourself or get dictation that it is verified. The customer service skills of their office staff is as friendly and professional as the DMV. I tried to speak to someone regarding my appointment and they constantly cut me off and spoke over me. I was never given the chance to speak or be heard. It's a shame that in 2019 we're still dealing with discrimination and unprofessionally managed establishments. Do your research and be very caution if you take a chance with this office. read more

Dr Aneane and his staff are great. I took a chance when I picked Dr. Anene when needed some dental work and didn't want to go back to my old dentist. I was pleasantly surprised. He's a great guy, very knowledgable and made the whole experience a snap. I'm happy to have a new dentist that I like and can trust. read more

Dr. Anene is my favorite dentist in Charlotte, NC! He has great hands (e.g. excellent technique, thorough & fast) and is highly personable. In the past, I've been to other offices where the staff was unhappy, stressed & clearly did not enjoy their jobs. It's completely opposite in Dr. Anene's office. You feel welcome from the moment you walk in and it continues past check out. The attitude, equipment & music are modern (e.g. no elevator music ever). If you're like me where you've had negative experiences in the past and have been putting off needed dental work, I recommend you see Dr. Anene. A great doctor combined with supportive staff make all the difference. Dr. Anene is now my new normal. read more

Hygenist was very nice and technology is top of the line however, Doctor, not pleasant. Billed for repairing a fillign that was too high because thirty days had passed (did not know there was a time limit on poor fit), and as a result I was billed full price for a "problem visit". Office refused to address this. I am currently paying to replace a crown that two seperate doctors in two states have said is terrible. It is under three years old. I prefer this to revisiting the office. This is not a physician who is going to stand by his work. I would not recommend because of this. While no medical practice is 100% perfect and dentists tend to recieve more complaints than most, the effort to correct clearly subpar work matters. I would not recommend if services were free of charge. read more

My first visit was to get my teeth cleaned. He wanted to charge me $120.00 before he would give me an routine cleaning which was free with my insurance. He claimed I had periodontal issues and to pay this amount before they would clean my teeth. I went to another dentist and he did not see any of those issues and cleaned my teeth on the spot. Dr Anene is a rip off and money hungry stay away and get another dentist option before proceeding with this dentist. read more

While Dr. Anene was very nice, his front office Manager is the complete opposite. Due to not being able to bill my two dental insurance carriers, they took a huge deposit from me in order to complete my service. After several months, the service was not completed, my money was refunded and I was forced to find another dentist. Please avoid this practice as there are many better in the area. I can't say enough good things about this business. I haven't been to the dentist in several years so to say I was nervous was an understatement. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a warm hello and smile. I waited for maybe ten minutes until they called me back. I went though the procedure of X-rays and the check up all while being calmed, soothed, comforted, and put to ease by the hygienist taking care of me. She knew I was nervous and walked me through each step explaining everything so that my nerves were put to ease. Once the dentist came in he as well was nice but professional and straight to business but he took the time to answer any of my questions and I didn't feel as if I was just another patient to get through. Once done the hygienist assisted me in making my next appointment, warned me of the cost upfront and ensured me she would be assisting me again per my request. I'm actually not worried to visit the dentist again. I highly recommend them!! The staff was amazing! read more

I am having Tooth pain and called dentists in the area. i explained my symptoms and it is looking like an extraction. i was told over the phone they did extractions and could get me in at noon. i asked price because i am paying cash. the receptionist told me the price with a discount for cash. i went in and the doctor verified i need a root canal or an extraction. i said lets go ahead with an extraction. he responded that they did not do them there. i told him the phone call details and was told i misunderstood and the price was just an exam. so i was charger $100 cash and given a referal to a doctor i had called before making this rush appointment... now i need to go and pay another $90 for a consultation then extraction... read more
