I've had to wait over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time on two separate visits here. It's really frustrating to set aside time, arrive early, and still not be seen anywhere close to the scheduled slot. This kind of repeated delay shows a lack of respect for patients' time. UPDATE: I did receive a call, the office apologized. Unfortunately, there were too many issues for one visit. 1. Extremely pain, provided me no numbing agent upon several requests. 2. Neglected to write any milligrams on my antibiotic, couldn't get issue resolved for 3 days "weekend," 3 additional days of excruciating pain. 3. Called the office, NO ONE believed me, so it was the battle of the truths, Until I provided proof "the original prescription, attached to this review". 4. I was informed my attachments were blocked from their system when I emailed the office my complaint with proof. An apology is good but it can not replace the weekend of pain and not being believed when I voiced my concerns. P.s. Thanks for the apology, it didn't resolve one thing but again, thanks. I just called the office 12/4/23 at 11:55 a.m., spoke to Nikki "front office" who informed me that my insurance company was billed $217.00 "already paid" for the worst office visit EVER!!!., I am so very upset you can treat a patient such as this and still compensated, what's my compensation for the countless errors I was subjected to beside an apology...... WORST DENTIST EXPERIENCE EVER!!. Nikki was nice, she stated there were no additional notes in my account, nothing added about my experience. This office should NOT have been paid for this, I think I'll call my insurance company today, email them my prescription "with no milligrams" and explain to them in detail, my experience. The X-rays will never be useful, I will NEVER go there again, Rivergate Denistry should consume the cost of my horrific dental visit. I'm going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, how can you explain to the dentist office you have "white coat syndrome" before being touched, and they proceed with such negligence. I had a services of bad experiences and I'm currently working on an unresolved insurance issue because I was told my insurance was covered later to find out Dr. Gorospe is not accredited with Delta Dental. First, my appointment process required 4-5 back and forth phone calls because the front desk wasn't properly trained I had a great first visit with Dr. Gorospe paid co-pay and then was asked to pay some amount around $400 that didn't correspond to me. I wasn't able to get my next appointment booked because the front desk was not put together. I called to make an appointment and spoke with an outside company who pulled up the wrong person's information and once my account was located they attempted to book me for a completely different service and cancel an appointment I didn't have. Dr. Gorospe must have caught wind of my experience because without complaining or prompting I was given a handwritten card, Starbucks gift card, and a whiting kit for free. My insurance declined my service because the tax ID was not present on the submission from Rivergate Dental. I called in and spoke with a woman who assured me it would be corrected and resubmitted. I received a call that Dr. Gorospe is not credentialed with Delta Dental and it may take awhile to submit my claim. I reminded the person I was speaking with that it has been submitted and she then stated I am sorry our office did that in error. How many errors are going to continue to happen? Why wasn't I informed about the lack of credentials? I should have had the opportunity to decline services. read more

I had a great experience after a front tooth broke into parts while I was chewing, early evening, I guess because of age. Dr. Lantis saw me within a few short days (I was a first time patient for her), her nurse technician Robin was fantastic and they worked hard to measure up and get the impression out to their vendor. I'd never seen such great teamwork in my 60+ years going to a dentist! I was back in front of Dr. Lantis in about 2-3 weeks to have the new crown installed and Dr. Lantis again was outstanding, accompanied by Amani, her nurse technician. Again, great teamwork (much faster because of their great measuring up on the front end -I assume). I look forward to my future trips to Dr. Lantis's office. Went back today for a deep cleaning, let me start off by saying I have really put the cleanings off due to the horrible dental practices in the area. Rivergate dentist once again did a fantastic job, Heather the overly experienced and professional hygienist went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of, she talked to me during the procedure and made me feel beyond comfortable, she is like everyone else at this practice a hand picked professional who knows how to not just do her job but also to not judge and be sure to take the patients needs and make them her priority with extreme care. I'm beyond appreciative of how professional everyone is as well as the top notch care provided. read more

I normally do not write reviews, but my experience was so AWFUL I decided to write one. I went to Rivergate Dental Care on 10/27 for a routine dental cleaning. My dental hygienist was professional and did a good job. Justin was the dentist that evaluated me that day and noticed my bad wisdom tooth. He gave me the option to come back to get my tooth extracted later that afternoon, which I agreed to do. Unfortunately, the extraction did not go as planned and I was sent to an oral surgeon directly from the dental chair. The staff assured me that I would be reimbursed. Because my root was not removed and I had an open wound, I went against my gut to settle the credit that day and rushed across town before the oral surgeon's office closed. Thankfully, the surgeon and his team stayed late to accommodate me and removed the rest of my tooth. Justin called the next day to check on me and he agreed to tell Melissa to refund me for the incomplete procedure. I followed up a couple days later and was told I should receive my check within 10 to 15 days. Of course, this DID NOT happen. After 15 days went by, I contacted the office twice by phone, a few days apart, to inquire about the status of my refund check. Each time I was forwarded to Melissa. The first time I was on hold for over 13 minutes, the second time roughly five minutes. I hung up and called the office back each time and was told "She's in a meeting" and "She's with a patient." They always took my number but she never called back. The last individual even had the audacity to slightly giggle when she gave an excuse for her. By that point, I was infuriated because they were outright disrespecting me. The week before Thanksgiving, I drove up to the office to speak with someone in person since I could not get any answers over the phone. The young lady I spoke with was somewhat helpful, and told me I probably did not receive my refund check because RDC didn't receive payment for my routine dental cleaning from my insurance company. Up until that point, this information was NEVER communicated. She said that she would look into getting me the refund check, confirmed my mailing address, but warned me it may be reduced based on the amount owed by the insurance company. Irritated, but feeling somewhat relieved, I left. A couple of weeks went by and still no refund check. I received a notice in the mail from Delta Dental (who IS NOT my insurance company) that RDC attempted to process a claim but I wasn't in their system. So I called RDC AGAIN to provide them my Insurance information AGAIN so that they can properly process the claim. The lady told me she didn't know what I was talking about and they already have my correct insurance information and filed the claim. I looked up my account and only saw one claim that was filed -- by the oral surgeon, NOT Rivergate Dental Care. Beyond ticked off at this point, I contacted my insurance company and told them that RDC supposedly processed a claim but it wasn't showing up on my account. I explained how I've been jerked around so the insurance company volunteered to help me. Thankfully, the insurance company was successful and told me that RDC transposed my account details. The claim was resubmitted by the office shortly after that phone call. Almost two months later, RDC sent me my refund check during my Christmas vacation. I guess you can consider it a Christmas miracle. As a Customer Experience professional, I could not believe how AWFUL this entire situation was handled. I lost so much time calling around, running to their office in person, and pretty much doing work that the office staff could have easily handled. RDC can cancel my upcoming 6-month appointment; they will never get another dime out of me. read more

Imagine being 9months pregnant and in need of emergency dental care. Dr. Knowlton squeezed me into her busy Friday for a SAME DAY appointment. The pain was minimal and the professionalism was exceptional! I will refer my husband and others to this office because they really showed me that they care about the patient before all else! Let me start by saying since I was 5 years old I have hated going to the dentist. Kicking and screaming no. As an adult I have always left the office crying cause the dentist was too aggressive and/or intrusive never really talking me through what was happening just "doing his business" so to speak especially with the equipment.. I literally yelled at a former dentist that I felt like I was "in a 1918 Dr. Jekyll's lab" and to take it easy.. I'd always leave in tears and in days of sever pain with no reprieve after. Hence why my blood pressure had a hard time lowering when I first arrived at Rivergate HOWEVER the amazing team at Rivergate are patient and kind and waited for my anxiety to calm by playing soothing meditation music (before and during) even dimming the light While I calmed my nerves .. it worked.. l also love the diverse female staff they are so full of knowledge, patience, compassion, and humor. I actually told them that I need a "I love Rivergate" t-shirt! ...my procedure with Donna Knowlton was painless .. and stress free ..felt no pain .. I felt cared for..nothing intrusive.. she's a great communicator..I literally for the first time in my entire life left the office smiling and praising her team... even made that appointment for that long overdue off root canal. Later at the house after the numbing shots wore off I took some Advil and I've had no problems. I woke up feeling fine and on the right track... No severe pain. Didn't have to sleep with an ice pack on my face.. Donna got a KNOW in her name cause "she be knowing" best dentist visit and procedure I've EVER had in my 49 years hands down. Do not use this practice. This location used to be good, but, the entire staff left. I never knew why until now. This location is dishonest. Avoid it at all cost! Check all pricing and insurance coverage before signing anything. They will NOT verify your insurance and will quote you full out of pocket price plus other hidden fees that aren't for anything and tell you that they checked and that you're on the wrong and that it's your insurances fault that your quote is hundreds of dollars above the out of pocket quote. Yeah, okay. You'll be doing their work for them and will lose your precious time, money, and energy to this "practice." They make you do their job and then tell you, that you're wrong. Please for the love of God, this is your warning. Do not attend here. Spend the extra time researching and finding an actual good, reputable practice. Not some franchise dentist. Pfft. I learned my lesson the hard way. I will not be going back. read more

This palce is absolutely incredible. I went there for the first time yesterday. Dr Sanders and his staff treated me like i was family. Within a couple of hours I went through the new patient process and was set up with a very affordable payment plan to take care all my dental needs. I love this place and would recommend it to all.
