My filling fell out on a Friday. I left a message about it and before they could call me back I called again as soon as they opened. They got me in that day within a half hour and fixed it . Long story short - this dentist emptied my wallet and left me toothless! First he says I'm tongue tied (I'm 40) and cuts my tongue. Then he says I have TMJ - never had a problem before?! But he can fix it he says.... then we go forward with our game plan for removing my molars for implants. I paid thousands of dollars... had surgery. Follow up appointment - he tells me I lost too much bone and he can't help me with implants. So we go for partial dentures. They send out their dentures to a lab. My dentures fit awful. Send nerve pain up into my head... caused severe sores. I wear my temporary partial for about a year just done with it all and feeling defeated. When I'm ready to move forward again- I go back to him - for him to tell me my best bet is to go to an ASPEN DENTAL. Ha! I went to Aspen Dental. Got partials that fit!! I realized how awful the dentures were from Columbus and how I was taken advantage of because they were my first dentures and I didn't know any better. HE KNEW BETTER. Now - almost three years later I go out for consults again. Thinking I need bone grafting. Nope. Getting 8 permanent implants next week. No problem. If you have any dental fears, don't go here. My daughter needed 2 fillings and brought me for support, due to fear of the dentist from bad past experience. Since she is 18, they sent me to wait in the car while she sat crying in the waiting room. We had asked when we scheduled the appointment if I could accompany her and were told yes. We had not specified her age on the phone, but they did have her date of birth. There was no effort made to try to help her feel comfortable with what would take place. We have now received a bill for more than 4 times more than the estimate they provided at the appointment. The quality of the work was good, but there was no indication that they cared about her as a patient or our experience as a customer. read more

I had a molar extracted on my second visit and i didn't feel pain, i was in and out before my actual appointment time. Dr. Sitaram was so thorough. I never had swelling or needed medication. It takes a lot for me to leave a review, but I can't in good faith to other potential patients not leave this one. I've been dealing with TMJ/TMD issues for five years now. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Sitaram to get a second opinion on my current treatment. I was told it would be a rather long appointment, as he would be doing a full evaluation and discussing treatment. The appointment took 30 mins from waiting room to checkout. He had zero sensitivity or bedside manner for my situation and told me if he were me, he would get a $100,000 (not kidding) 14 hour jaw surgery requiring traditional braces both before AND after surgery, and that the process would start with an expensive sleep study to treat apnea that I've never been told I have by any other dentist or doctor and have zero symptoms of. He refused to address my main concern, which was my shifting/crooked teeth and the cosmetic concerns I had relating to that and my TMJ. Regardless of whether or not that expensive treatment is the best option for me (I do not think it is), he had absolutely no patience for me or the delicacy of my situation and how the news of his recommended drastic treatment would be incredibly upsetting. The appointment cost a flat out of pocket $200 for him to tell me that in 15 mins time and to be incredibly arrogant while doing it. I was referred to Dental solutions by Mcabe orthodontist. I had fragments of teeth that needed to come out of my gums along with getting my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. I scheduled this appointment over a month ago and talked with the surgical nurse 3 times before the appointment. Two of those 3 times I felt like I was being a little bit of a inconvenience to them. The nurse would sometimes seemed to get aggregated with me but I would just push it all off to "she could be having a bad day". The day of the surgery I arrived 30 minutes prior to my apartment, like I was told, and was taken back to the room almost immediately. I went over some of my medical health and was asked if I ever got nauseous after being under anesthesia. I replied with no that I have had multiple surgeries before and never got nauseous. At that point the surgeon came in and put some drugs in by the IV the nurse had previously put in my arm. After awhile I woke up. When I woke up I was shaking so bad and couldn't control it. It almost looked like I was having a seizure because of how bad my body was shaking. I also was experiencing pain in my hands that hurt so bad and when I looked at my hands they were completely black and blue and I had no color in them whatsoever. I told the nurse that my hands were hurting and I couldn't feel anything but my body shaking. Which she replied with "I don't know what you're talking about. You're hands are fine and you just need to relax." So I tried extremely hard to calm myself down and take some deep breaths. I felt tears going down my face but didn't even realize I was crying. Next thing I know the surgeon comes in and he starts yelling at me saying "their is an 8 year old patient next door whose going under surgery and your scaring her. You need to calm down". Which obviously at this point I've never been yelled at by a doctor before, and It wasn't like I could control the fact I was shaking and crying, so I started to feel an anxiety attack coming on. The surgeon then left the room and after awhile I was still incredibly shaking but I was able to calm myself the best I could. I kept apologizing to all the nurses telling them that I was sorry and that I really had no control of my body. But still I was being told by the nurses that I just needed to relax and there was no reason to why I was acting like that, however one nurse did tell me it was all okay and I didn't need to apologize. After awhile I got out to the waiting room and met my boyfriend who was waiting on me for 4 hours. Because apparently it only takes 20-30 minutes to come out of anesthesia, but I went way over that time and the nurses had to wake me up. I then got home and called my mom telling her how petrified I was because of the reaction I had and with the surgeon yelling at me. She then called dental solutions to see if it was just the anesthesia talking. The answer was no. The nurse admitted to my mom that everything I said was correct. The doctor did yell at me. That apparently I was talking so loud people in the waiting room could hear me (which my boyfriend who was out their the whole time said he didn't hear anything). Then the nurse also admitted that during the surgery I lost a lot more blood then usual and my heart rate was dropping below average. On top of all of this I was also shaking during the surgery just like how I was when I woke up. All of this was admitted to my mom and everything I said was correct, but what in their right minds thought It was a good idea to yell at me to stop shaking. And if my heart rate was dropping and I lost so much blood why wouldn't they call EMTS? Or the very least call my mom who was my emergency contact. Let's just say that now I have all over my dental and orthodontist files that I am never to be returning to dental solutions. And I also have developed such a fear for anyone going near my mouth that I am absolutely petrified to get even a cleaning. I have talked to Mcabes office about this and mcabe has handled it incredibly well. He sat on the phone and listened to me cry to him how petrified I was and tried his best to reassure me that it was okay and I never had to go back. read more

Was my first time to go to this office and I had a molar that needed cut out and pulled. The dentist and staff were very friendly, informative, and kept me posted on the progress. He's very effective at giving shots, I hardly knew I was getting them. I was a nervous wreck going in and asked for gas which was no problem. I also asked for the shots with no epinephrine as that makes my heart pound extra hard and trust me it was already doing that from my nerves. The office is super clean and had a very comfortable resting area. I am really glad I can go here from now on if I need any other extractions. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to go here because they accepted my insurance but most of all because of the reviews. Definite 5 star place. They also send you away with plenty of instructions and email you later with more. Very high tech, very happy customer! read more

I have seen price comparisons to other dental offices in town and it is comparable. Dr. Sitaram is very thorough and easy to understand and his staff is very polite and helpful. f you are looking for a holistic dentist this isn't the place.I found this place that promotes doing the safe removal of amalgam fillings using the SMART protocol. When I called the office they described the precautions they use when removing the amalgams which was the one that I was expecting to get. I got the insurance they told me they are in network with and I had to wait six months to go with them and be covered. The day of the removal I had to drive from Indianapolis in the snow but it was all worth it because my amalgams were going to be removed "safely". I got the anesthesia 3 shots!!! I was very numbed and kept waiting to be translated to the special room where the process would take place. The only "precaution" used was a wet towel over my eyes. By the time he started drilling it was too late I couldn't even talk so he went ahead and did the removal. There was not use of a dental dam, special ventilation to take amalgams vapors out of the room. Binders were no given to rinse before/after of removal. No special protection for parts of the skin exposed or hair. No respiratory mask. No to mention the worse when he said he was done I could feel all the amalgam pieces in the back of my throat. I had to go to the restroom and rinse my mouth thoroughly many many times while pieces of amalgam keep coming out. Well this is not it. He didn't even fixed my bite. I had to eat in agony and in pain for a week and pay my regular dentist to fix my bite. read more

My family has gone here since 2009 and had excellent experiences time and again. We refer friends and family to Dr. Sitaram without hesitation. The office is clean, bright, and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and most of all, every person there is highly competent. Cleanings and check-ups are thorough, and Dr. Sitaram uses current technology to improve his practice. His Cerec crown has lasted longer than the prior two crowns on that tooth from my old dentists, and to his credit, he took extra time to properly fit that crown to the unusual space in my mouth (something two past dentists did not do). He caught an abscess in a recent 3-D x-ray before I was in pain, and was pro-active in treatment, reducing my chance of pain and infection. I've always had dental problems, and he and his team have made fillings, a root canal, and even an extraction as positive as possible. They make sure you are comfortable, and relaxed. And, I don't know how he does it, but the process is really low anxiety, and low/no pain! The guy is gifted, and truly cares about his patients. He and his team take the time to get to know you, your needs, and your family, talk to you as an intelligent human being, and have the highest standards in care. Dr. Sitaram is my new dentist. Moved to Nashville from Greenwood. I have not seen a dentist since I fired the hack who screwed me over for a year. Not only was my last dentist a quack who miss-diagnosed which tooth had gone rogue on me and got all accessed, he also was, real good about giving me one estimate only to bill me for much more than planned. I searched many online reviews and happened onto Dr. Sitaram who had received many well deserved rave reviews. You never can be 100% sure of these reviews because some are faked and inflated. Not in Dr. Sitarams case. On my first visit I was immensely impressed with all of the state-of-the-art equipment at this practice. They took 3/D imagining of my head and the detail the Doctor was able to show and explain to me was remarkable! He even found evidence of a possible brain inside. I needed one crowned tooth extracted that the previous dentist, ( and I use that word loosely) had screwed up and 3 more next to it that needed crowns. I was used to the old method of getting the old tooth ground down followed by the unpleasant filling of my mouth with gross gunk to make impressions. This nasty slime was reminiscent of my x-wives cooking! I was pleasantly surprised to discover the good doctor had traveled to the future and brought back a robot that would create a crown from a block of material that was better then the one God gave to me 6 decades ago. In short order he cranked out 3 of these beauties, installed them and dispatched the old crown that the quack had screwed up. Oh and he manage to do all this quickly and painlessly and at a very reasonable cost and charged me what he said I was going to be charged! Huh, imagine that! I'm telling you, this Doctor, his entire staff and his machinery are top notch! If you need a crown you gotta go see this guy. Hell, even if you don't need a crown, go get one anyway!
