Great doctor!!!!!!! I've been having knee pain and arm pain and poked around the net for a sports…read moredoctor and saw the great reviews here on Yelp. If people are so inspired to write a review about their doctor/experience on yelp (which doesn't happen a lot, mostly restaurants) it must mean a lot. I'm sooo glad I decided to call Minor and James clinic and made an appt with her. Her clinic is at the FIRST HILL BUILDING on Minor ave and James. Parking is located across the street at the parking garage. Make sure to bring the parking stub with you up so that the receptionist can stamp it. The stamp will ensure you a parking discount. Smooth experience from start to end. No long waits in between. I didn't feel rushed or just another patient. She thoughtfully listened to all my concerns & answered all my questions. She explained everything to me thoroughly and very clearly. She thoroughly examined my walk, leg, etc. and was able to pin point the problem instead of ordering a bunch of x-rays that would cost more money. I left not just very satisfied, but I even asked her to recommend me other doctors since I was so impressed with my experience! (I am currently looking for a family doctor/general physician) Anything sports medicine related, I highly recommend her.

It's rare to find a physician who is as analytical as her, but combine that with her compassion and curiosity, and you have an excellent doctor. I have a complex spine condition, and she is the only one who's been able to suss out what's going on. I've probably seen 5-6 different sports med doctors before her over the past 10 years, and I'm so glad I found her. You'll likely wait months for an appointment, but it's worth it.

Would give more stars if I could. This story starts over 2 years ago when I suffered a herniated…read moredisc that led to severe foot drop, knee pain, and constant back pain. My initial experience with physical therapy left me feeling pretty hopeless that I would ever return to anything close to "normal." Running again--or feeling athletic at all--felt out of reach. When I walked into Tangelo, it was mostly because my back pain flared up after trying to get back into the gym and lose weight after so much inactivity. What stood out immediately was that even with my MRI results in hand, Dr. Mike still took the time to listen. I made it clear my goals were bigger than just pain relief--I wanted to run races again and get back to the level of athleticism I had as a college football player. Instead of a generic, one-size-fits-all plan, I got a thoughtful, progressive approach that actually aligned with those goals. We didn't just treat symptoms--we built strength, stability, and confidence step by step. Working with Lawrence was always impactful, as we focused on movements specific to running and my injury. For the first time since the injury, I felt like I was truly moving forward instead of just managing setbacks. Fast forward to now--I'm running races again and have set both a 10K and half marathon PR. That didn't feel possible not long ago. The entire staff created an environment that made you want to show up--great energy, great music, and always a warm welcome. If you're dealing with pain, setbacks, or feel like your goals are being dismissed, Tangelo is different. They don't just get you out of pain--they help you get back to doing what you actually care about.

These folks are very, very knowledgeable and skilled. They're also kind and professional. I used…read morethem for two injuries over a ten year period and would highly recommend them for sports rehab. Also, their layout and interior design makes doing physical therapy exercises much more fun and thus motivating. I can't recommend them enough.

I played sports my whole life (bronze medal JR Olympian, full ride D1 athlete). Only as I get older…read moredo I realize the incredible embarrassment of riches of access I once had to doctors who viewed fixing an injury as only part of the journey, rehab and regaining proper mobility is actually the key to regaining yourself. Sports Medicine Northwest has this philosophy in spades and even reminded me of it. I had resolved I'd always limp after tearing my quad, and my time chasing my kids would be labored and short. I could not be more wrong. I feel grateful to have found this place! And, even more grateful for the progress I have already seen since being in their dedicated care. I felt compelled to leave a review because (1) this team knows how to help you and (2) I noticed a fellow reviewer's comments that upset me as a client of this facility. Not only did I find this other reviewer's experience to be the polar opposite of mine, I fear their review could potentially prevent folks who really need help from getting quality life upgrading help. (Also... contextually... it's worth calling out this other reviewer gave Costco 1 star! COSTCO! So... I mean if you hate deals and hate spending quality time with your kids... then Costco and this place ain't for you)

I've always had the best services with the staff here, from the front desk, to massages and injury…read moretreatment--Dr. Skylar Pond is the best in the business. My most recent visit felt more like a magic trick than anything else. 8 weeks after a motorcycle crash, I was still suffering from ankle pain and limited mobility. I was certain I had a broken bone that wouldn't heal. I went to urgent care, got images, and was told to "give it time." I did, and it wasn't getting any better. So I decided to see Dr. Pond, who felt around in there, and was able to diagnose a minor bone displacement, and adjusted it back in place in 30 seconds. After 8 weeks of pain, I was fixed after a 5 minute process. I'm still in disbelief. If you've got anything going on, go check him out. You might be surprised with what's possible.

But as you see, I have Dr. Schwartz on that list to whomever asks me about a great shoulder-guy. (I work in the electrical industry; we get a lot of shoulder and knee problems.) Anyway, I was warned by my coworkers who've gone through similar shoulder surgeries about all the post-surgery problems, mainly pain and recovery I will encounter. Not true after my surgery with Dr. Schwartz. Yes, your mileage may vary but the worst part for me was having to wear a sling. My pain was minimal and recovery was very quick. (I had the full-meal deal; rotator cuff and bicep reattachment and I guess my collarbone had to be shaved.). Dr. Schwartz was very patient and actually listened to my concerns both pre and post-op. He explained everything from my injuries, my upcoming surgery and what to expect afterwards. He's pretty proud of his work, even showing me a video of my surgery. And his staff was awesome! I liked his work so much, I had my other shoulder repaired three months after my first.. this shoulder's recovering fine as well. One thing to note: getting something surgically repaired is not like taking your car to the mechanic. You can't expect to just go take boxing lessons after you leave the shop. It takes time and a lot of physical therapy to properly heal, as Dr. Schwartz told me on my very first visit. Follow your post-op instructions handed to you and actually DO your physical therapy routines and you'll be fine. So if you're looking for a really great shoulder-surgeon, "I gotta guy...."

He did find and fix a couple things that were wrong, and said that if I followed my PT my shoulder would be as good as new. Almost 6 months after surgery and following PT strictly, my shoulder is in more pain than before the surgery with no end in sight. Dr. Schwartz ordered another MRI and I feel like I'm right back where I started, having wasted 6 months and a lot of money. I was terrified of having surgery by Dr. Schwartz assured me that it would end up solving my problem. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Saw another reviewer mention a failed surgery with Keem and that "complications occur," as if this…read moreisn't what so often happens with Keem (I've met people who've known physical therapists who work with numerous butchered Keem patients at a time) - so I'm back to update my review. This is a placeholder until I type out another banger lambasting Keem for being a terrible surgeon. Keem told me my artificial disc migrated - in actuality, a team of Virginia Mason neurosurgeons investigated, and found the disc was installed in the wrong place (which took a while to diagnose, as Keem refused to release intra-operative imaging for close to a year). Entire steps of my surgery were skipped. And he lied to my face about it - and to the Polyclinic ... just before mysteriously leaving his cushy position as their sole spinal surgeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keem is a lazy, incompetent butcher. I still experience daily pain and take daily pain medications after what he did to me as a young athlete. He mysteriously vanished from the Polyclinic after multiple government investigations of my surgery, including a winning ruling by the Washington state AG's office because Keem was double-paid by both me and my insurance, and his office said I'd have to sue him directly to be reimbursed. He's corrupt, and a liar. After some time floating around, it appears he's been hired by Swedish. They should be ashamed of themselves - I reached out directly to share the results of my surgery. Clearly, Swedish doesn't care about the longevity of their patients, or keeping them safe, functional, and pain-free. Keep in mind that this man has a long and extensive history of "complicated" surgeries, as well as kickbacks into the millions from the manufacturer of the only artificial disc he installs. (They also cover fusion equipment, etc.) I could find no other surgeon who only uses equipment from one company ... let alone ones paid by them on the side. More corruption to the absolute core. More coming. I have other reviews for him in my profile, including one in which I caught him leaving himself a fake positive review. Don't be fooled by this slimy, unctuous guy who has a long history of leaving his patients immediately post-op to go get paid by Medtronic while they suffer through permanent and life-changing complications. Expect a PA to see you for your first post-op appointment (dangerous and insidious scope creep, going against all advice of the American Medical Association), and expect them to misread your imaging and gaslight you about your pain because they have no idea what they're talking about. This is an established pattern of Keem's. If Keem has 5,000 haters, I'm one of them. If Keem has 1 hater, it's me. If Keem has 0 haters, it's because his rotten surgery finally killed me Lmaoooo. If Shakespeare knew this guy, he'd call him an egg.

I'm 52 and totally understand the complications and risks with this type of surgery. I felt what could go wrong went wrong. The problem with a lot of people is they do not understand that when something goes wrong, almost all of the time it has nothing to do with the surgeon performing the procedure. Things just happen. Dr. Keem has always been professional and straight forward with me as well as the staff that works around him. I knew the risks and accepted what happened as part of that but Dr. Keem is great. I'd go to him again (this was my second procedure with him...the first being 7 years ago). The staff at the surgery center was amazing. All of them were great compared to my previous visit. I'd like to give a huge shout out to all of those who cared for me but the one that stood out the most was Morgan. She seemed so much of a real person than a robotic nurse that i had experienced with my previous surgery. She was easy to talk to and seemed relatable to my life experiences. Again...all of the nursing staff was amazing this visit but Morgan stands out the most. Thanks again.
