My CORE physician said these things usually clear up in a couple of weeks and go to Physical Therapy. After a couple of weeks there was no change. I went to EH PT with severe back spasms whenever trying to lie supine. Physical therapist had me do some movements and then required me to lie flat so "I could describe what I was experiencing." Told him I didn' t think I could do that because of the pain and I could describe it without demonstrating. He insisted on a demonstration. So I did. Had severe spasms and accompanying pain. (Looked roughly like a worm tossed on a hot pan.) He had me get up under my own power -- again excruciating. Then prescribed at-home exercises including bending from the waist, twisting side to side, lifting light weights with shoulder shrugs. Which I did (stupidly.) Another two weeks later, no improvement and have been sleeping upright in a chair for more than a month at this point. Finally smartened up and made an appt. with the osteopaths upstairs for an evaluation. First thing ordered was an x-ray. Ten minutes later back in the exam room looking at a vertebra compression fracture, the cause of the symptoms. Doc said absolutely do not do any stretching, bending, twisting, lifting. Cold cause further compression on your at 50 percent now. Prescribed immobilizing back brace for approx 12 weeks. Fortunately surgery was not required. I had previously heard that EH physical therapy had a bad reputation. I'm a sample of just one case, but I'll add my voice to that view. And, in addition to exactly the wrong advice and negligence of basic diagnostic protocol, the therapist was rude. I had the temerity to ask if massage might help. His curt response, "I'm not a masseuse, sir." Not an answer to what I was asking, but, from empirical evidence, he was accurate at least on that count. If he did perform massage I think he would have been a masseur, not a masseuse. Bottomline -- dangerous advice that could have worsened my injury from someone who should know much better coupled with confrontational communication. Amazing. I called the patient relations coordinator three times asking for a call back to discuss. Never got a call. At least the food service soup in the cafeteria is edible.

I am a new patient here. Do not make the same mistake that I did. The Plaistow office has a very…read more'cold' vibe and does not feel welcoming at all. Staff are nice enough but all seem to be fairly new and not super friendly. The "were using a new portal so wait times will be longer" is a terrible excuse for a 30 min wait just to speak with a receptionist. I am trying to schedule a follow up appointment and have currently been on hold for 43 minutes. I will be looking for a new doctors office this afternoon.

I was told I need to go through my CORE PCP and have her fax all my records to them but even so, they don't treat my condition. I need to resume Orencia infusions asap, but was told that no one in the ENTIRE group would see me and they do not treat EOA or idiopathic types. I am in intense pain and just cannot move back to ATL right now - I've only been here 3 months, and navigating the system up here is a nightmare. My PCP said I needed to have ATL fax them the records and would not help me at all. All my records are on MyChart at an ATL hosptial which I attached to the BIL MyChart. All they had to do is look at them. It is a shame because I really like Dr. Mihata, my new endocrinologist, but the rest of these "providers" are terrible. Thumbs down.

I was in a motorcycle accident and was left with an ankle fracture (ORIF surgery) and a knee which…read moredidn't fully straighten and was incredibly painful (no injury that an x-ray or MRI could find). I started going to the ladies at Kate Schwartz when I was put into an air-cast (still non weight bearing). After every single visit, I walk out feeling like I could run a mile. They not only helped me to reduce the swelling/increase range of motion in my ankle, but also identified what was wrong with my knee! Something that the doctors could not identify. I continue to be amazed by the amount of knowledge these ladies have and how quickly they've helped me get back on my feet and back to normal activity. I am hoping I never have another injury like this, but if I do, I will come back to this team in a heartbeat!

The whole 45 minutes was focused on my therapy! Ang was very thorough and really cared about my pain level and working with me to push me as far as I could go to improve but without adding injury. She also has a super calm and pleasant demeanor, so she's fun to work with in a rehab setting. She was on time for all of my appointments. Billing was taken care of in advance so I knew what was happening there. Appointments were confirmed every time. The whole experience was professional and just great! I highly recommend Kate Schwartz PT!
