If you are at all concerned with the integrity of ingredients, want to know exactly what you're drinking, or would prefer a place that works with you so you can actually have something that won't send you on a flare, DO NOT come here. If you're traveling through and need something healthy, for the love of god, pass by this place and go to either The Granary or to Natural Grocers, both just a few minutes down the road. The store side was unfortunately unimpressive as well - they just didn't have the selection or stock of say, The Granary or Natural Grocers, and it was really expensive. Also the staff over there reeked of bad perfume, and didn't know where stuff was. This may be a healthy place for lunch if you've just started trying to be healthy and are comparing it to say, fried chicken and fries. But bread, wheat, dairy frozen yogurt, orange juice, pineapple juice - these are not healthy things.

The cashiers, depending on who you get, can be super rude, unhelpful and even argumentative. I still don't understand the deal with their plastic bags - are they charging for them, or giving you a credit for bringing your own bags, or what? I wish I didn't have to shop here, but Aldi doesn't sell certain vegetables that they do have here. Can't buy anything besides that though - it's just too expensive.

I can describe her older short white lady with grey/white hair, and she had glasses on. This was my first time going to this store, and will probably be my last due to this "trash customer service experience". I went to this store to find "better for you" nutri grain bars. As I looked through the aisles some of the brands were not very unfamiliar, so I took a photo of a box of bars, to text a photo to a friend to see if they heard / no of this brand. As I was did that the "educational manager" asked me if I was a instacart shopper. I said I was not, then turned back around. She then said I saw you taking photos, and since you are not an instacart shopper you cant. I told here why I was doing it ( to text a photo to a friend to see if they heard / no of this brand ). I then ask is she the manager, she said she is the educational manager. I then ask who is the manager, she then leaves to go get the manager. The manager comes, and just stands there and she follows behind. I then explain what I was doing, and he didnt say anything. The lady then says I got the manager so that things do not escalate. I then say I didnt ask for a manager, you just left and got one. She said I didnt know why you were talking photos, ( even through I told her why ), and I didnt know if you was talking photos and going to another store. She then say as long as you are not doing that its fine. I then say, "that is not what you said". You said I cant take photos because I'm not an instacart shopper, she then changed her story up because of the manager being right there. So in reality this lady was harassing me because she was suppositious of a black man taking photos in the store, once again ( even through I told her why ). This lady should be fired, and educated.

The manager could have helped me --but she did not bother. She did not want me to be there! I have shopped at Natural Grocers in at least five different cities. There is no happiness or good vibes in this store in Tyler. It is a very unhappy, sad store. This one in Tyler needs to have the corporate office step in to revive the place. I was the only one in the parking lot --about 10 minutes later, there were about three other customers. A very somber place. I did not feel welcome. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them---and they wanted me to leave. I like Natural Grocery a lot...and I do not want the company to close its stores because of disgruntled managers.

Granary has such a vast array of healthy snack foods, ingredients, pills, naturally sourced foods and frozen meals. It serves a wide audience with many GF and vegan options. As a bodybuilder, it has many of the supplements that are hard to find in most stores. The only issue with health stores like Natural Grocers or Jack's is that they mark up all their prices and usually Amazon is cheaper 99% of the time. Not here. Many items are cheaper than what you can find online and you get to support a local business at the same time. I'm already carving room in my pantry for the next haul I come back with. It's clean, organized, and well stocked. Many times the owner or the staff has recommended products based on my needs and they worked better than I could imagine. My top 3 favorite products they recommended have been ClearLungs, ThymeOut, and Allergena. I no longer suffer from seasonal allergies, because of their staff's recommendation. 10/10 and I tell all my friends and family to go here.
