I purchased glasses from them for $2,000. A few days ago, a small screw came loose and got lost. I brought the glasses in for repair. I was told that I needed to make an appointment, which I did. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I waited an additional 15 minutes. Then an employee came out and told me that the production department was closed for the holidays and that the repair would take between 6 and 8 months. They also said they would not handle the repair and that I should take care of it myself. The entire conversation took place through a metal gate, as if I were a dangerous criminal. We walk in at 1:27 pm and wait in line while they let in a whole group of different people with out appointments ahead of us. Although this location is a little bit smaller in comparison to the Las Vegas, it is quaint, elegant and they have a lot of cabinets that carry their products. My main purpose was to buy a hat. Can you believe it? I traveled from Phoenix AZ to Malibu CA all for a... hat. Maybe I should really think about my life choices. But anyways let's continue to the review. As I stated earlier, my mind was set and I wanted the signature Trucker Hat. After speaking with Ciera, she said it would be at Malibu. I even called the next day to confirm, and told it would be available at the Malibu location, so we made the trip 35+ miles to the west. When we arrived, I was told they only had a Red baseball cap. ($660) I felt pressured to buy it as the sales associate said "Buy it." Although he was very honest and helpful, they carry limited sizing and sometimes their in store stock isn't reflected as it should be. A little disappointed at the misinformation but hey, what can ya do. At the end of the day, I purchased a few clothing items, and a mask. (Funny right? Wanted a hat, bought a mask and a tshirt). Masks are strictly enforced (over the nose) and there is a bit of a wait time. Surrounding area is a park and a very nice shopping plaza. I recommend checking out the Whole Foods afterwards and hit up the Hot Food Bar for some grub. 5 stars goes out to the gentleman and sales associate. They were professional and helpful. This is a run down location. The security guard almost assaulted me and my pregnant wife today. Power trip ? I know the rules as a fellow customer of the brand, we were waiting outside waiting in line when the security guard asked my pregnant wife to move on the side. Had to stand in line for 20 - 30 minutes waiting for people to finish in the store so that we could go in (COVID precautions). Once we were in the store, it is really small inside and there isn't a ton of items. What they have looks to be exceptionally high quality and it bares a price point that would support that claim. Staff were really friendly and it is one of those stores where they kind of follow you around while you shop to make sure you don't need any assistance. Really, just not my type of shop. Wow, had an incredible experience with this store & the people in it. Went here on a whim knowing it wasn't appointment only, hoping the line wouldn't be long & the selection was good - today, there was practically no wait & a great selection. Walking in, I was greeted by Joseph, who told me i'm free to look around & ask him if I have any questions. I had a question about some rings, and he was very friendly while assisting me. Sadly, the ring I was looking for wasn't there, but Joseph showed me a couple similar styles & I found two that I liked. He helped me size them correctly & all that. Then I look at the glasses & he recommends me his favorites, and we get into a conversation about how I got into Chrome Hearts, the history of Chrome Hearts, where i'm from and all that. A genuinely cool & nice guy who was a great help. The store itself was cool too. I've only ever been to the Vegas stores, and while Malibu is a little smaller, it's still beautiful & has a great selection. Couldn't take pictures inside, which I was a little bummed out about, but I get why. The reason a lot of people like Chrome Hearts is because of the attention to detail. Whether it's their leather furniture, a silver ring or even their take on a Rubix Cube - the detail is there, and the interior & exterior of this store proves that (see photo). I ended up buying 2 hoodies, 2 rings & a facemask, and I love all of them. The lady who rang me up was very nice as well. Overall a great experience - I did not want to leave. I made an appointment to look for some silver jewelry. The store is beautiful but Chrome needs to rehaul their customer service experience. No one asked me if I needed help while I was browsing. When I asked an associate about silver jewelry they were very curt and unhelpful. What a great experience! The store is a little bit tricky to find -- just look for the small vine covered building with the iron fence. Came at about 3:45 and had to wait in line for about 45 minutes due to COVID protocols. Not at all an issue as they are doing what is necessary to keep everyone safe. Once inside, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Zach was a delight to work with and had no trouble answering every one of our questions. Additionally, even though many of the products were out of my price range at this time, I was never made to feel inferior or that I didn't belong in the store.
