    Burrito Bowl with Pork
    Brenda K.

I went here for a quick lunch and saw Burrito Bowl for $10.75. I know some food vendors sell amazing or at least an average food, but this was so much worse. Dry clumpy rice and the meat was overcooked. I wonder if complaint is not needed for the price tag though. Never had problems when I ordered my food at Chipotle, and there isn't much good things to say. Food seemed okay on my last visit though. Staff was helpful and friendly, but the food was terrible sorry, Chronic Tacos.

I usually don't eat at the mall food court but I was Passing by and noticed they had beyond meat options I asked the employee if they cook the beyond meat with the other meat and they said '"No" so I had the green light. I'm afraid to try it at other places due to the risk of cross contamination. So this was great! I ordered the regular open bowl taco and was able To stay within my dietary limitations; Gluten free, dairy free and meat free. I truly was pleasantly surprised that the food was clean and tasty. Very close to Chipotle, even better.

This is the only Mexican option in the mall. Service was slow with one person making the food and another person at the cash register. I ordered a bowl for about $16 with the guacamole added. I found the rice to be a bit too salty on its own. You really needed the other ingredients to make it more palatable. I wish they had more topping options available. Overall, it was an okay meal.

Decent Mexican option in the Metropolis food court. Parking is available in the Metropolis underground lot. Pricing is a bit expensive at around $10 per item. The burrito is quite filling and hits the spot. Plenty of rice and meat, with a choice of toppings. The thing actually holds together quite nicely. Great taste too. The only difference I could think of is that unlike the standalone locations, this place doesn't serve liquor for obvious reasons. Definitely worth checking out.

This a chain restaurant one on West Broadway and one in metrotown. We went to the one in metrotown located in the food Court. And I love their burritos they are supper satisfying and is only cost around 10 dollars. I can usually only eat around half a burrito. The great thing about this place is that you can customize your burritos. I got a multi grain wrap with Spanish rice, black beans, lettuce, salsa , hot peppers and cheese. I love the different texture and the complex flavor from each component. I am definitely a fan of this place.

Craving for burritos today and decided to grab a quick bite at Chronic Tacos. Food: I bought California burrito, and it was delicious. It is very filling. I would say 4/5 for fast food. It is definitely my top to go places for burrito. Now the food was good, the reason I give 3/5 because of the service. Service 2/5: The young lady that served me was rude. She threw our order on the counter and my wife even informed her that it is not right. When we asked her for a bag it was also being tossed to us. I was a little bit upset, if I wasn't in a rush, I would go to the manager.

Was really only here for the tots but decided to get the burrito since they advertise that the burrito has fries in it but sadly... It doesn't so don't be fooled so I ended up spending more than I had to and ordering more food since I really just wanted the fried foods from here. I came on a weekend at dinner time and the food court is packed (as expected). They've only got one person taking your initial order with the next person assembling and the last person at the cash; overall given the space, I can understand why service is quite slow at this place especially with all the options of ingredients and to add this and that to your burrito. The burrito is super filling and the tots were great. You can get the tots loaded up with cheese, salsa and mayo as well. I thought it was all on the side when I said yes a little too quickly before thinking but it definitely adds to the flavor...I'm still team ketchup though. Overall, can finally say I've tried it. Not sure if it's worth it per se as a food court meal since prices can add up quite easily but if you're looking for Mexican in the mall, this is the place to go

I had the burrito with spicy pork and it was so delicious! The burritos are huge, so you can definitely share it with someone else.

Parking is available in the lot behind the building, as well on the side streets. The venue looks like it used to be someone's house. There's even what looks like a living room downstairs. Definitely a strange layout. Not sure what goes on there, but the regular dining room seems to be upstairs. There is a nice large S facing patio and large bar area. The place is brightly coloured, with yellow and orange walls. Staff are friendly. No complaints. I had the alambra carnivoro. This thing is pretty epic. Basically a pile of fajita fillings (meat, peppers, onions, peppers, cheese, and more meat bits) in a pile, served with soft tortillas and a pile of sides (rice, refried beans, salsa, and guacamole). I just sat and stared at the big beautiful dish. Maybe I was super hungry, but it was very delicious. I left satisfied and happy. Definitely worth checking out if one needs a Mexican fix in the area. Recommended.

For the starter I ordered the Esquites. It was nice but too liquidy after a while. The chicken enchilada with red sauce was ok. The refried beans and rice were not the best I had and that was usually my favorite part. The dessert was Passionfruit cheesecake. Initially they said it was out of stock and would replace with tres leches cake (yay my fave). But they somehow managed to find the Passionfruit cheesecake and served that. It was not good at all. It didn't taste like cheesecake. Good thing that's usually not on the menu. R had the tacos instead. I tried some of that. He got the Birria, asada and pastor. Of those, I prefer the pastor. Very tender and flavorful. The horchata was pretty good but at $7, I thought that was a bit on the high side. We may come back for taco Tuesday ($4 each with min 3 purchased) or burrito Wednesday ($14) in future. I'm glad this place is being used again after the Greek restaurant closed when the owners retired. The layout is still the same. It can get really loud at any of the tables by the speakers. The music kinda drowns out any conversation. Parking is available behind. Walking distance to both Patterson and Joyce skytrain stations. Or there's the bus stop nearby.

I got an order of two tacos ($15) and my friend got three ($21), and we shared an order of chips with guacamole and salsa. The tacos were delicious, with lots of meat and they were served fresh and piping hot. The consomme was decent but for me lacked a bit of flavour compared to what I've had in the past. The chips were very tasty and both the salsa and guacamole were fresh with bright flavours. At $12, the portion of chips was tiny so I would not order this again. Service was very friendly but minimal - in the sense that you order at the counter and they bring to your table, then clear up when you finish. The restaurant is quite small with 4 tables that can seat 4 people each, but they're not too close together which is nice. I'll definitely return to try some other dishes.

We arrived around 7:45pm on a Saturday night and it was busy with a FIFA game on the TV. The staff were friendly and we got a table after they cleaned one for us. Really cute authentic Mexican joint run by friendly hard working Mexicans. Each table gets served complimentary chips with salsa, which was amazing. I asked how much to get an extra side of salsa and the waiter told me they don't sell it but for me, he'll get me another free side of salsa. My boyfriend ordered two soft tacos and I got the chicken enchiladas with green salsa plus a lingua (beef tongue) soft taco as I needed leftovers for lunch the next day. We also asked for waters and a grapefruit soda. The food arrived pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the rice, refried beans, and the chicken enchiladas. A lot of Mexican joints have dry chicken but the chicken here is juicy and flavourful. The beef lingua taco was okay - not outstanding but not bad. Their hot salsa and creama sauce were outstanding though - we asked for extra to take home with my enchiladas leftovers. One of the servers forgot our water, soda, and extra salsa but we managed to get it after awhile. He was extremely apologetic but no biggie. Great friendly service with solid food - this might be one of my favourite new spots in Surrey.

It was completely empty at 6pm on a Friday. We entered and no one greeted us. Ever. We sat ourselves until someone sauntered out. The older man who appears to be running the place is a character. I truly felt like I had walked onto the set of a play. This man either doesn't care in any way about the success of the business or his customers // or truly doesn't understand what his role is. He refused to give us what we ordered multiple times. If we wanted beef he would say No, it's not good. He wouldn't serve us chips saying our kid will choke. He wouldn't give us a dish we ordered telling us it's too much food. Simply talking to him was quite a challenge and caused tension. We gave up and just ordered anything. Side note - it's a no alcohol establishment. No license. When we asked if they had beer he mocked us - "Ohhh you NEED alcohol?" There's no other way to put it, the food is below mediocre. It's bad. It's flavourless, small, basically a bunch of mush. It's pretty clear things are premade and just heated or microwaved as enchiladas came out in about five minutes. Overall, the place was quite dirty. Sticky floors. And down right rude and uncomfortable. Such a disappointment. They need to get a proper server in place to elevate the experience and invest $$ in lot proper food. At the very least, clean the floors and remember - the customer is always right. At least let them order what they want.
