The parking can get crazy so take what you can find. I am annoyed there is no seating at the market so you can enjoy your meal. I couldn't even find a public trashcan. I wish it was a more friendly place for the prepared food where the market is open later and you don't have to stand to eat your food.

The website says that dogs are not allowed, but they are everywhere and it's a pain to avoid them and tripping over their leashes. There also health department regulations FOR GOOD REASONS, to not have animals around food.

On the side they are selling Christmas trees these days as well. I used to stop by here to pickup berries now and then but on this trip found that they were carrying Old Town bread and spotted the jalapeño and cheese bread so I grabbed a loaf. Great little farmers stand on the border of Encinitas and Carlsbad.

I got beautiful, ripe strawberries in a 3 pack for just 5 bucks! The prepared food stalls looked great - too bad I wasn't hungry at the time. There was a bread shop, tamales, fresh squeezed OJ, greek food, popcorn, cookie shop, etc. Parking is right next to the market. So convenient!
