Stopped by on Saturday afternoon for my first time here. Everyone working were super friendly and helpful. We went there to get a Christmas tree but unfortunately the prices were a little high for us, but the trees were all beautiful and very green. You can tell they take good care of their trees. We ended up going to their produce department and got a bag of persimmons, granny smith apples, a star fruit, etc. They are definitely better quality than the ones you get at the grocery stores. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious as well. The area was very cutely decorated for Christmas and plenty of parking available. read more

I've been coming here off and on for years. Lately I've been avoiding this stand because of a woman who seems to be management. She's extremely unpleasant and the other employees seem to be afraid of her. She has a Cruella DeVille haircut and a nasty attitude even toward customers. I don't think this is the way to keep customers coming. read more

Farm Stand West is a cute spot off the 15 freeway.  Not alot of selection for the size of the establishment. Tangerine had a sweet tangerine flavor.  I would get more of these. Strawberries are grown in Bonsall.  They were juicy and full of sweet strawberry flavor.  Fully ripe these are among the best I've had.   I was also surprised to see they have turkey pot pie here.  Turkey pie had a thick crunchy crust.  There wasn't much gravy resulting in a dry pie.  Mushrooms had the strongest flavor which I didn't like.  Turkey was tender and had a nice flavor.  Very small amount of turkey compared to the other ingredients in the filling.  Later in the day I got a stomach ache.  I would not buy another pie here.  If I'm in the area I'd buy more strawberries and tangerines. read more

Amazing local spot! We came to look at Christmas trees and ended up finding the perfect one! Super cute spot from the farmstand to the tree lot. Everyone was so KIND and helpful. Girls inside offered samples and were so sweet. The guys working the tree lot were super helpful. Big shout out to the kid who got our tree ready and even loaded it on our car. Even though trees are pricier than Home Depot/lowes, the customer service alone was worth it! Out of other local spots in Escondido, this place was 10/10. Farm Stand West is such a sweet, hidden gem. It's a farm stand located off the 15 in Escondido, and has delicious produce at reasonable prices. They also sell eggs, baked goods, jams, and honey, etc. It's run by the sweetest people. It's got an adorable kids play area with a sandbox full of trucks and toys. There's also a ping pong table, and lots of tables and chairs for a picnic or snack break. My son loves coming here to play and pick out some fresh produce. There's a tractor to climb on and plenty of photo ops. Currently it's decked out for fall with their pumpkin patch. We just attended their Fall Harvest festival, which was so much fun-- tractor rides, pumpkins galore, face painting, lots of craft and treat vendors. We had the best time! Santa also visits at Christmas time and Farm Stand West sells beautiful Christmas trees! Definitely come check it out! read more

This place is great for several reasons. First, we came for the pumpkin patch and picked out the perfect pumpkin. That was a great experience in itself. But the farm stand had fresh produce like in-season peaches, and persimmons, oranges and SO much more. Some fresh baked treats from the bakery were delicious, including a giant double-fridge/freezer with gluten-free treats of all kinds, from apple pies and brownies to mince meat pies as well and loaves of bread. What an absolute hidden gem! We will return here to pick up more than just pumpkins. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Escondido. They sell pumpkins during Halloween time, Christmas trees during Christmas time, they have a Santa you can take free photos with, and they have a small coffee shop and sell things like fresh fruits, veggies, and honey year round. Cool spot to pick and buy your own pumpkin along with their regular produce stand. I bought some delicious red dragon fruits and they're the tiniest and sweetest I've tasted! The people were also very friendly. Around Halloween time, they do offer pumpkins for sale. You can even walk to the back and see where the pumpkins grow. It's not your typical pumpkin patch for kids activities and stuff, as this is more like a farm, but this place offers a less crowded pumpkin experience with still a photo op with a hay bench, scarecrows and some pumpkins in the background. You're basically visiting an actual farm instead of a empty parking lot that has rotating festive items and decorations for your entertainment. I'm just happy to find a spot that sells local produce. I'd like to come back regularly just to buy some fruits and veggies! read more

We used to come here often during the fall season. We would get fresh apples and other goods like pumpkins and what not. I would rather support a small business, but not when they price gouge like crazy. I understand that the economy has had a huge impact, especially with tariffs. I ran into this farm stand when doing errands. Decided to give it a try. Tomatoes are super fresh, sweet and red. The oranges are the best price I have ever seen and are sweet. They are ugly but I don't care about appearance. There weren't any samples when I came. So I asked the lady (don't know her name) if I could try some tomatoes and oranges and she was able to provide slices cutting them open herself. The second time I came she had samples. Never busy when I came (though I came during the day not weekends). Now I buy less produce in farmers market because of them. Price, taste, friendly service are the best! One downside is limited selection. I wish there were herbs and vegetables. The lady said once in a while they could have mint and basil and it is hard to predict when. We came to their Fall Harvest Festival and had a fun time checking out their pumpkin patch and produce offerings. With Covid among us, this is a great escape from home and gear into fall with the little ones! My daughters had a good time exploring the outdoor market, sand pit, pumpkin patch, and little garden. To add to the fun, you can pick your own pumpkin from the patch and carry it back to the register in a wheelbarrow. Pumpkins are sold by the lb. @ $.75/lb I also found decorative corn (non edible) for $3 the bunch. They have an arrange of fruits and vegetables, gluten free breads, honey, eggs, and herbs too. I went in there looking for figs (seasonal item), and they didn't have any on the stand, but staff was kind enough to go pick them fresh from the trees! I also found passion fruit!! Yum! I love the selection at this little place; it has become a staple for my family since we moved to Escondido. Not only do they have the freshest, most delicious fruits and veggies (this coming from a Central Valley-raised produce snob) but they also sell Deanna's gluten-free baked goods, which is amazingly convenient for me since I have celiac disease. They also have a cute Christmas tree farm during the holidays which is made even more perfect by their giant gluten free gingerbread house to raise money for celiac research. I mean, honestly, how awesome that this business decides to cater to us in the celiac and gluten sensitive community when we are so often overlooked. Lots of great, fresh quality produce. Produce varies by season. This is a family owned business and they do a great job of making you feel at home. They have plenty of samples and will even teach you how to eat fruit that looks mysterious! The dragonfruit (pitaya) was interesting to learn about. They'll even educate you on the difference in flavors from the variety of fruit. I LOVE the Valencia Oranges, Lilikoi and the apple selection. You also have to try their freshly squeezed juice. Cute local fruit and vegetable stand with a pumpkin path in the fall. Right off the 15, you'll be able to find it without any trouble. Some of the produce is expensive but hey, you're supporting local farmers so it's worth it. There's a cute kid area (which was closed off for a private party). The pumpkin patch was adorable. There are so many reasons this location earns five shiny stars... Farm Stand West is conveniently located right off the I-15 freeway. It is family and operated and they actually farm in Escondido. I like to buy/support local as often as I can. They grow most of what they sell; farm fresh and pesticide free. They harvest daily. Some of the produce comes from other local farmers (awesome) with similar farming philosophies so again, it is all local home grown produce. The customer service is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and passionate about the produce. We (including dog) were greeted and welcomed with smiles as soon as we approached the stand. They even offered my dog water and a sample of the peach! My questions were answered and I was assisted in selecting THE best peaches. They have seasonal produce offered year-round so the harvest is ever changing. More reason to return! Call ahead or check the website to see what's "new" and what samples are being offered. There is a pumpkin patch in the back...easy to forget you are so close to the interstate. Take a wheelbarrow and pick/cut your very own pumpkin/s. A great variety of pumpkin to choose from. Don't leave without sampling the produce and orange juice. The orange juice is delicious. I have always wanted to check this place out and I'm glad I did. I bought the veggie pot pie for dinner and the pumpkin streusel pie for dessert. We also tried the chocolate covered apricots which was a first for my daughter and I. I love anything with chocolate. We both love trying new things. The lady who helped us was very pleasant and recommended the things we bought. She also said the sandwiches there are excellent so now I have something to look forward to. Stopped off, thinking this was a full-fledged farm stand with a lot of vegetables/fruits. There was a minimum amount of items available at the time we went (weekend afternoon), and they were astronomically priced, especially since they weren't organic. Regular lemons were a dollar each, Myers were more, $4.00lb tomatoes, $10 for a strand of "specialty" garlic, etc.. We ended up paying $10 for 3 large tomatoes and $3.00 for a half a dozen eggs (not organic). I don't know if all farm stands in SoCal are like this but it was just shocking to us how it is actually cheaper to go to a supermarket/farmers market and get organic items than buying them "farm fresh" from here. When I showed up they were teaching a young group about the growing cycle of pumpkins! Adorable! They've been around forever and I JUST found out about them, but if the full parking lot is any telltale sign, I just needed to get on the band wagon! Some of the amazing offerings I list are seasonal so keep that in mind and check the website before you go for current offerings. Wheatgrass-a whole big flat for 9$ ! That's the best deal in the county AND they clean it super well (As daily juicers themselves, the owners realize the importance of this) I made the best pasta sauce ever from the heirloom tomatoes and squash, yummy apples, pomegranates, citrus, and gourds galore this time of year! We visited the Pumpkin Patch at Farm Stand West and totally loved it. The staff was so friendly and nice. They had samples of the fresh tomatoes and fruits and also samples of the fresh juice that were so tasty. We sampled the Dragonfruit and purchased some to take home. It was really good. I also stocked up on pomegranates, oranges and tomatoes. It kind of looks like a Farmer's Market with all of the fresh produce that they sell. The Pumpkin Patch was big and they offered us some clippers, so that we could cut our own pumpkin off of the vine. There were fruit trees surrounding the patch. My daughter had fun running up and down the rows of pumpkins in the patch. There was tractors that the kids can sit on and play around like they are driving. They have a really cute "Kids Korner" that had picnic tables with shade, a sandbox and a really cool Morning Glory Garden Cave. There was photo-op boards where the kids can put their head in the hole. We were there until closing time and the staff told us that we could take our time. We were there long after closing and they waited for us to go so that they could lock the gate. My daughter was having so much fun exploring and playing, that she did not want to leave. The staff was so nice too because they offered to take our family photo in front of the tractor and pumpkins. They also thanked us for coming a couple of different times. They also told us about their upcoming Fall Festival where they would have tractor rides and booths set up. I really enjoyed my experience at this farm and I will be back! read more

We came here with our family to find a smaller local owned farm that wasn't over priced or over crowded. This was the place!!! So happy to have taken the chance and spent our day here picking pumpkins in the field, checking out the farm, enjoying the hay ride and shopping the farmer's market. We bought a beautiful, full and fresh 6'-7' Noble Fir for $100, including tax, which for 2022 (when Home Depot wants $169 for a 6'-8' tree) seems very reasonable. This cute little farm stand is amazing! We were looking for a nice, natural, country feel for our sons' 1st pumpkin patch experience. My 18month old and 3 1/2 year old loved running up and down the rows to seek out the 'perfect' pumpkin. They had many varieties that we could cut right off the vines. We were surprised to find a semi-flat golden one and a kinda greenish-white round one which suited my boys' personalities. Oh yes... They even have a wheel barrel you can borrow to haul your pumpkins. Added bonus was that the little farm stand had a large variety of tomatoes and other produce. Love this place and so happy to live near by. Absolutely love the quality and freshness of the produce here. Literally the BEST Persian cucumbers ive ever had. When i was pregnant i craved the navel and cara cara oranges, which are full of folate! Seriously must have eaten 10 a week and this place was always so nice and willing to help me get my fix. They had a cute children area with ping pong table, sandbox with sand toys, and few other items for kids to interact with. Super nice employees, fresh and delicious fruits and yummy vegetables!! I get excited when I'm over by the stand. They take debit cards which make this place absolutely irresistible!!
