This is a small either carry out or they have an outdoor patio you can eat at. The food selections are unique and very tasty. I got the vegetable wrap with curry and it had all of my favorite ingredients. My friend got the millionaire turkey sandwich and he really liked it. They both came with chips and a delicious dill dip. My sandwich also came with a ranch dip. This is a great option for a quick bite. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. You can get free cups of water

Loved my experience at chubby unicorn. Quick and easy cafe service, side patio with plenty of picnic tables to eat onsite and delicious food! I ordered the burrito and special of the day (Happy Husband) and both were delicious. The sandwiches are panini like and the breakfast burrito was stuffed full of delicious bacon jam and eggs. Will definitely be my go-to lunch spot when visiting!

Eat here! It's that simple! I know there are tons of places to eat in Traverse but you absolutely must try this place. It's super small inside, only 3 tables but they have picnic tables outside and honestly if there isn't a seat walk a few hundred feet down the road, take the steps down to the water and boom you have a seat on the water! The play list they had going while we ate there was on point as well! Such a fun place, and great vibe, everyone working seemed genuinely happy to be there and they all seemed to work great together! This was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time!

I absolutely LOVE this place! So that area is all beautiful beaches and I wanted to grab a wrap to go eat on the beach- this was perfect. You basically go in, order, then go outside. It's a very small space but perfect for what it is. There is a space fenced off on the left where you can eat at cute little picnic tables. There is also a spot facing the water right next door where the bus picks up that you can sit if you want a water view. This city is all around so gorgeous view-wise so most people just walk across the street to the beaches. I came here a couple times in my visit to TC and the staff were wicked nice, super helpful, and very welcoming. The food was so good! I love love love the wraps! They have a limited menu - but it is for good reason- everything is amazing. The chips that come with the wraps are also so good and addicting! They also give you some kind of dill spread and that was delicious as well. I'm also a sucker for great marketing and mascots so obviously a place called Chubby Unicorn gets bonus points from me from the jump. The logo and branding were adorable and the vibes were so fun. Inside, they also have tons of cool graphic art from Banksy, who's my favorite artist, so again, 5 stars.

The Millionaire Turkey was amazing. When I first saw it I thought it was going to be bland and dry but it was the opposite. I am already thinking about the next time I will get it again. It is a very small shop and not a ton of seating but the staff is very friendly. They also offer catering! 10/10 a MUST try in Traverse City

Stopped in for the first time last Monday. Tiny little place with seating for about 12 inside and plenty of picnic table seating outside. Menu is small but I think there is something for everyone. You order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. They have paninis, wraps, salads, couple of soups, and a kids menu. We opted for the dilly dally salad, millionaire turkey sandwich, and cheese and ale soup. Not a bad choice in the bunch. Salad was big enough for two and has a lot of good stuff in it. See the menu. The sandwich was delicious with a sweet bacon jam on it. Soup was nice and hot with a nice cheese flavor. Great service, great food, and a go to place in my book.

Stopped in for lunch with two other people. Split two sandwiches between the three of us, and while it was filling enough, I would have happily eaten the whole thing! Seriously delicious. They have a succinct selection of "paninis", salads, wraps and soups. I say "paninis" because they were grilled, but it wasn't what I would typically envision a panini to be. The bread was fluffy, not hard and flat. Creative toppings - we ain't talking traditional deli sandwiches here. And they served their Great Lakes chips with a side of housemade French onion dip (we love a dip and a sauce). No beers, so grab em to go if that's what you're looking for. Inside is small with a few tables, maybe more of a to-go place. There is a small patio to the side which looked like a lovely option on a summer day in TC. If you're passing through, highly recommend!

The food: We shared the Millionaire Turkey and the Thick Little Hottie between three of us and it made for a perfect lunch. My favorite was the Thick Little Hottie which had heat in the midwestern sense. The dill dip with the chips definitely elevated them as a side. The vibe: cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and delivered the food to us event though we sat outside.

Thick little hottie sandwich, chicken capresse wrap, capi-doodle-dew sandwich

Got a chicken capresse wrap, capi-doodle-dew sandwich, and a thick little hottie sandwich. All three sandwiches were delicious. The dipping sauce went perfectly with the sandwiches and the chips, and the chips tasted homemade and fresh. We took our food to the pier a couple shops down and ate by the water. Was a great experience.

Was really yummy. People there were nice and had good outdoor seating. If you need a place to go for a snack you can split the sandwiches.

It wasn't super busy. Fortunately, once we were seated, our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. We decided to do a flight. My husband and I tried 5 different cider each. I was a huge fan of the cider that reminded me of fall (apples) called Octorock. But the tropical one, skinny dip sunset, came as a close runner up with pineapple and passion fruit strongly coming through. I also tried the Brom, peach and strawberry feels. The peach was probably my least favorite since I couldn't really taste it. It could have just been my taste buds, too! My husband's favorites were the vanilla and the cinnamon ones. I tried both and agreed. The vanilla really came through and was very aromatic and the cinnamon made me think of fall, especially when I drank it after the octorock. I wonder if they have a combination of both in the fall? We also got dinner while there. I had the fennel sausage pizza with their housemate Italian sausage. It was so good! My husband had the jerk pork shoulder served with rice and beans and said it was delicious and flavorful. Overall, it was a successful dinner and a great way to try different cider! The place has modern decor, well spaced larger tables (even the two seaters are quite roomy). They have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Since we took our pup on a couple of adventures, she stayed at the house and napped but we saw a few dogs enjoying the beautiful weather and the social time with their humans. This is definitely a great place for a meal or of you're feeling adventurous about ciders. They have a wide variety of selection, and quick, fantastic service (minus grumpus).

There are no waiters, so you order everything at the bar then they bring your food to you with a table number. I ordered the raspberry beer and it was really good. I typically don't like beer, but I love fruit flavors. As an appetizer, we got the red pepper hummus and it was meh--I didn't really like it. It was thick and had the texture of cold refried beans and instead of pita, it was served with tortilla chips that tasted like Tostitos brand. For my flatbread pizza, I chose the Wolverine which was topped with pineapple, pepperoni, jalapeños. I've never had pineapple on pizza so I can't really be a good judge, but it was alright. I liked how thin the crust was. For dessert, we got the mini ice cream bars as recommended by the woman sitting near us. They're Ice Box Brand Ice Cream Bars by a Michigan-based company. They sell two sizes: regular and mini. I chose a mini toffee crunch and it was the perfect size. It was really good. I'd love to just buy these ice cream bars to have at home!!

When you come in, you are immediately and pleasantly assaulted by their dessert display case so feast your eyes and meanwhile, plan to save some room in your belly because trust me, you'll want some of their dessert. As a result, I ordered a salad, the up north cobb which was good and moderately filling and my husband had the special which was a chicken salad sandwich served with chips. We both had a nice lighter lunch followed by some delicious desserts. Generally, I order dessert and my husband eats what I cannot but this time, he orders his own. I had the cherry crumble and he had the sticky toffee pudding. Their dessert definitely satisfies the sweet tooth craving. So good and so much food! Service was fine. My fellow companions split the banh mi fries and said they were really good. I ordered the pork ribeye and it was just as fantastic as our server Autumn said it would be / thank you for the recommendation! Other things ordered were the tomato swiss soup, Caesar salad and chicken confit, all very good. Only food hiccup was the burrata ravioli which my friend said did not really taste like burrata and the beet pasta sauce was thin and lacking flavor. It also didn't coat the ravioli at all. It seems like the non pasta dishes were the better options! If I was in Traverse City again, I'd be back!
