Make sure you fill out the waiver ahead to save time. After, a quick safety video you're off to jump! She loves the obstacle course and the basketball run. Even at 6'5, my husband always has a blast jumping and running around too lol. The staff is friendly there is one staff member for each area and they always seem to be watching to make sure rules are followed. Non jumpers can sit in the lounge area, on benches or bleachers to see their jumpers have fun which is great! We had one of my kiddos birthday parties here and I had a whole room I was able to decorate (which I love! I'm the party queen after all!!) and the kids had an absolute blast with pizza and drinks after their jumping time definitely a fun party worth looking into! The party attendant we had was awesome he got me in ASAP to start decorating, helped with serving food/drinks and carried all gifts to the car afterwards. So nice check it out for sure!!!

We came the day after Christmas 2020 and the bears were already in hibernation. But we saw a fox, turkeys, bald eagles and vultures. They have everything roped and chained off to accommodate for one way feet traffic. During the Christmas season they have tons of blow ups for the kids and great for photo ops. This was a nice 15 min walk around the paved walkway.

We are new fans to rock climbing and thought it would be a good idea to try out an indoor gym in Athens. We read the good reviews of this location on Yelp and gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! We were greeted by a very helpful staff member who reviewed the gym's rules with us. My sons were very happy with the different courses they had available. There were courses designed for beginners, as well as experts. The mats were very clean - which is not always the case in rock climbing gyms. And, the pricing was very fair - $12 each (we had our own shoes). It was well air conditioned and they had cool drinks for sale (just $1 for a bottled water). I highly recommend Active Climbing. And, I hope to return here during our next road trip through the South.

Many of the enclosures were placed close enough to the walking paths that you could move around and catch a glimpse of its occupants. We happened to stop by on a hot and muggy rainy afternoon so many of the animals or birds were napping. There were a few opportunities for young children to go climb about for photo opportunities or to touch and compare objects. There were even walkways that looked at the animals from high above which made scanning the entire enclosure easier. The paths and railings were well kept and one could easily just sit and relax in nature listening to the free birds high in the tall trees. It is a peaceful experience. We saw only one zookeeper or ranger from afar while he was feeding a deer but he never got close enough to ask any questions. I never even found a collection box or office to offer a donation. A stop at the Bear Hollow Zoo won't take long but it's a unique place to walk about a see some local animals and birds. We were glad we went.

The was plenty of parking and bathrooms right by the entrance. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The zoo was decorated for Halloween and it's was so wonderful and made me smile. There were not a lot of animals but it was also late afternoon. I thought it was pretty cool but I don't have a lot of fur so I guess it's not for me to judge. I did see an otter, a bear, a huge alligator, lots of reptiles, and more owls than expected. The fox exhibit was closed due to constuction but that understandable since all of the walkways were wooden and seemed well taken care of. If I ever come back, I'll definitely try some of the surrounding trails. This was a very awesome experience, especially since it was free. I think it'd be really great for kids.
