Decided to take the little ones on a random Tuesday to this Chuck E. Cheese location. As a super saver tip, apparently on Mondays they give you 200 bonus tickets, so we will have to make another trip back on a Monday in the distant future. In my personal opinion, Chuck E. Cheese is pretty pricey though it is much more inexpensive that taking the kids to Dave and Busters. The tokens system gives you better control of how much your kids are spending/ playing, and allows you as a parent the opportunity to ensure they don't drop the token in, can't figure out the game, and walk away. We had several issues with the kids inserting the game card at Dave and Busters and leaving it in the machine and walking away, leaving a perfectly good $20 worth of credits for another kid to pick up. So Chuck E. Cheese has these coupon deals you sign up for online. For example, you can get for $23.99 pretax : 35 tokens ( mathematically equates to $8.75 worth if each token is considered $0.25), a medium one topping pizza, and 2 small paper cups for fountain drinks. You can also exchange $25.00 for 100 tokens. The actual monetary value of a token is actually $0.30 to the dollar. If you are impatient enough to buy your tokens from the machines, you actually would pay $30 for 100 tokens ( or some obscure amount). It's almost like they prey on impatient parents who just want to give their kids the 30 minutes to an hour of free reign. In any event, the location is as every review have stated: small. The facility is clean by standards of a location that has tons of kids running around, some barefoot. Bathroom ( women's at least) was as clean as it possibly could be for a place take caters to kids. It has at least 4 regular stalls and 1 wheel chair accessible stall. There is only one changing table and it is located right when you walk in, so you do not get any privacy when you're changing your kid's diaper, which I find disturbing. We had an issue with at least 4 machines, where the token was jammed or tickets were not being dispensed. It wasn't hard to locate a game attendant to rectify the situation, but you did have to wait a good 5 minutes after you flagged someone ( usually a person running the food from the kitchen to the tables) to get a game attendant by you to fix the issue. You would think that they would throw you an extra token or some tickets for the wait time, but they don't. Chucky the Mouse comes out to dance and give away free tickets once every hour. Because there weren't any birthday parties going on and it was relatively not jammed pack for a Tuesday, Chucky stayed by the entrance to entertain. Unfortunately, parents who were there did not exercise common decency and stood very close to the mouse, trying to record their kids dancing with the mouse or taking pictures. We were crowded at the very back and missed both Chucky dancing and handing out free tickets. Lastly, we only ordered the parmesan bread sticks on this visit as a snack and asked for cups for water. An order came with roughly 5 bread sticks, marinara, and ranch dipping sauce. Off the top if my head, I think it was around $4.49? While the pricing came out to be a rather expensive appetizer, it also took 20 minutes from when we ordered to when we got it delivered to our table. I have to make it a very clear point that the parmesan bread sticks were delicious. Definitely worth the price and wait time. Just need to know for next time to get 2 orders. read more

We have been here several times with our grandkids, including once for a birthday party. Our most recent trip was pretty bad. We came on 6/30, the start of the July 4th long weekend. Based on trends, they were seriously understaffed. In addition, they just changed from coins to cards with points at this location. When we purchased our food and points, the cashier didn't know how to do it. We waited about 15 minutes to get our points cards. Multiple machines malfunctioned and the wait for staff to give us the resulting tickets was long. Here, tickets are what it is all about! Also, the machines that count the tickets were not all working so we had to wait a long time for this. There was no Chuck E. this visit which was very disappointing, only the animatronic one. I am hoping by the time we make it back here, all of these issues will be worked out. The staff is so friendy. But the new general manager needs to be replaced or encouraged to not speak with people!! He has no people skills. He does not know how to talk to people. We complimented our favorite girl Tyran to the manager and he said "ya well you guys see one thing and i see another. She has a lot of things to improve on". We've ordered their pizza and party pack quite a few times since the pandemic began and it's always a hit! The manager is super accommodating and helpful. Plus he was super helpful when our daughters school was looking for donations for our auction last year. The remodel looks amazing! I never go out my way to write a review but this time I was highly disappointed with the service. The time I was a guest for a kids birthday party the staff was all in the back of the building smoking pot. This time it was my nephews birthday party and lets start with the moment we arrived everything was still being set up. No staff coming to check on us, we'd constantly had to go looking for them. We waited hours for our pizza and didn't receive two out of 8 that we ordered. We paid for the biggest package and my nephew didnt even get to go into the ticket master. Also didn't receive the kids dippin dots or goodie bags till the last minute. Needless to say I'm deeply disappointed how it went everything was unorganized party was at 6 didn't get out first round of pizza till 8:40. The pizza is good and the games work fine but the service is terrible. They are constantly understaffed, Long lines to get your hand stamped for admittance long lines to purchase food and gameplay and extremely long lines at the ticket counter. Half the time the mouse doesn't even come out and do the ticket splash and they still play the song to get all the kids I am top only for them to be let down. I will admit-I had a hard time clicking the 5 star rating on a place like Chuck E Cheese's, but I just don't have any reason to give it anything less. Came here with husband and toddler on a weeknight around 5:30pm. Toddler was celebrating potty training success and husband and I were celebrating the newfound freedom of not having to carry around that blasted diaper bag anymore. We ordered right away and the on duty manager took our order. We had a coupon which she let us keep for next time, which I appreciated. There were maybe two other families when we arrived. We got our drinks and found a table. This place is clean. Much cleaner than I would expect for this kind of place, but that might change during peak times. We played a few games and our pizza arrived shortly thereafter. The pizza was better than I thought it would be. We also ordered cheesy breadsticks which were a nice complement to the pizza. Is this gourmet pizza? No-you get what you pay for here. Was it better than pizza hut? Yep. We played a few more games and a few more families had arrived, but the place was still relatively empty and awesome. Chuck E came out and threw some tickets to the kids, which they enjoyed. We counted up our tickets and were quickly met by the on duty manager again to turn them in for crap that toddler did not need. My wife and I brought our six year old son here for the afternoon. Here are my impressions: STAFF: Everyone was quite friendly and any game related issues were resolved quickly. CLEANLINESS: Considering the daily traffic they probably get I would have expected more of a mess, but the restrooms and main area were very clean. PRICING: It was only $30 for a pizza and 50 tokens. Since every game can be played for only one token this amounted to a couple of hours of entertainment for our son. GAMES: I didn't see any of their games down for repairs and only one of the ticket machines appeared to be down. I am fairly sure that had only just begun having an error do the state of the games gets a thumbs up. I do question some of the game choices since the place is geared at small children. There was a couple of games sized for adults with pistol grips or driving controls (pedals) too large or spaced out for a small child to handle. The staff is a bit lax and needs more organization but thats just a quick fix because after a small misunderstanding with our table, the GM was very professional and personable so it was an easy fix. VERY CLEAN, Safe, Friendly. One of my favorite locations of this chain. Had 2 birthdays here for my niece so far and we were never disappointed. Manager Kyle greeted our party with a smile and stayed completely professional even when it was extremely busy and they were understaffed. Katlyn is excellent with the children and has been our event hostess for the past two years. Small issue with 3 out of the 4 ticket counting machine stations being out of order BUT was aided by a stellar employee at ticket redemption counter. I wish I remembered his name to properly give him the kudos he deserves. He was courteous, extremely helpful & one of the major reasons for this review. He was tall with dark hair and told us he was new to that store. He's definitely an asset & I will make sure to go back for his name & update. Clean atmosphere and bathrooms. Food offers healthy alternative , i.e. Veggie plate , but most kids enjoy the pizza. Games are 90% functional and fun. Low booth area and good floor planning allows for excellent visibility of little ones. Audio and visuals are modern and work well. CONS: the ticket redemption machines need updating as they constantly break down and are not designed for high output of single tickets PROS: Coin redemption; w the update to card swipe you can sit at a machine and cash in your old coins and add the credit to your card. This Chuck E Cheese is pretty much like the rest of them. The facility is pretty new and the games seems to be updated pretty often. Just like any other one, it gets really crowded on the weekends and is pretty empty on the week days. I definitely recommend getting coupons on their website before you go. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLY MANAGED!!!! Avoid!!!! We spent about $120 on this particular visit. We purchased food and gaming cards for five kids. One of the cards was left on a ride and stolen within two minutes of leaving the ride. I inquired about replacing the card and was told they couldn't do anything without some additional piece of paper that was never given to me by the 16 year old taking my order. I asked why that wasn't explained or why they didn't put the kids names on the cards.. no answer.. just a dumb blank stare. I asked for a manager, the "manager" who was about 17 said it was her. I asked for a regional manager and was told they didn't have one... I said it's impossible you have no one above you that you can contact to resolve an issue. She gave me an 800 number that was closed for the day. She got an attitude and refused to do anymore. 30 minutes later Joliet Police came and said our party had to leave the premises. We had my nephew's 6th birthday party here on 1/3/15. It was a great experience. We were one of the only parties scheduled for 12:30 so the kids were able to run like crazy around the long tables. just felt extremely compelled to write this review espessially after seeing my wife so emotionally hurt by the way we were treated at this location .im extremely dissapointed in chucke cheese for the inconvienience and treatment we were given today .they have sensory sundays for special needs children and we have been going since the beginning of the program and times chucke cheese had designated for this .we pulled up today to a full parking lot, and all the lights on and loud machines ,which is the opposite of usual for this sensory sunday ...asked to dim lights and turn down volume of machines 3 times.. till it was slightly altered for our children ,i believe the uncaring managers name was adrianna, if im not mistaken ..i couldnt understand why special needs was put 2 the side till i noticed 2 partys walk in. My HUSBAND and I have been going to sensory Sunday's with our special needs child since it has started and have always thought it was a really nice thing to do for the spd and autistic children we have even met a few really nice couples there and it's an enjoyable experience for these type of family's who have a lot on their hands most days it was a breath of fresh air to be able to watch the children have a good time in a more lower dimmed light setting with the games volume turned down .....there was a manager there names April that was great and awesome .the new manager advised us she was fired and now for sensory Sunday this week they booked 2 party's at 9:00 am when sensory and autistic children have from 9-11 they had the lights beaming bright and games volume turned fully up like they just didn't care about our children's special needs then blamed it on corporate booked the party's our children were crying and sitting with ears covered freaking out from the atmosphere and a friend with a special needs son was commented on by customers and stared at ......thx chuck e cheese for claiming to support sensory special needs and throw us to the curb while providing customer service for the people who would like to throw party's on sensory Sunday designated days the new manager there doesn't seem to care about people just pulling business in no matter how human beings are treated especially with special needs what a terrible morning we had just a sad story to share for all these hopeful children that look so forward to these Sunday's read more
