Last Sunday around 3pm I brought my kids up there and a lady cut in line in front of us. Normally I wouldn't care that much, but my ankle was in a lot of pain due to my recent surgery and having to mow my grass earlier that day, and we had been waiting there for a while. I told the woman who cut in line that we had been waiting here a while before she got there and the cashier let this woman loudly cuss me out in front of my children. When I tried to call back later to bring my concerns to a manager, the employee (who I suspect was the same woman who let this happen) handed the phone to a man who said his name was Taye. He did not sound like a manager - he was speaking in such a low tone I could barely hear him and talked like someone who barely graduated high school. I suspect that he was just a regular employee and the cashier did not get me to a manager. This "Taye" said he was going to talk to the general manager and that I would get a call back in 30 minutes. It's been several days and no phone call. I can't believe this establishment tolerates this kind of behavior, especially with it being marketed to children. If this careless cashier or "Taye" are going to be allowed to work here with their terrible attitudes, we will be cancelling our memberships and we will never consider Altitude for birthday parties ever again. Food, drinks, appetizer cheese dip, everything was great. Fred was a superstar and made us feel glad to be there, very personable and attentive. I sound like a fanboy, maybe I am now, who knows. Not often I drop close to a hundred for 3 meals (plus tip) and feel like the experience was justified, but the service tonight was worth it all. I had no idea that Mobile Alabama was the original home of Mardi Gras in the United States. I'm in…read moremy forties and I had only ever heard of big Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans but apparently this is where it all started. This little park downtown celebrates that history in such a fun, colorful way. The statues are fantastic! They're detailed, dramatic and full of personality. They really capture the pageantry and tradition of Mardi gras. We happened to visit in December and I feel like that made it even more charming because they had a gorgeous Christmas tree up in the park in addition to all the beautiful statues. Everything felt super festive and we ended up spending almost an hour in the park. That probably sounds crazy because the park isn't even that big, but it's really well kept and perfect for stretching your legs and taking photos. We took our time walking around and our dog enjoyed the open green space. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and I feel like I learned a lot. I definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in the area.

Pulled up and noticed signs stating no alcohol available. Well, so much for Lil Pug getting a Sangria fun drink as she calls it. Maybe 3 other tables occupied and Todd's name off door as owner, hmmm. Greeted quickly by new face and seated. Menus are now ink jet printer single page not the laminated multi page with pictures previous. All the sport memorabilia missing as well as video game room now vacant. As someone who ate here the first week this place opened years ago tonight was weird, almost like a complete relaunch, with old furniture. Our waitress Brittany was new, and let us know tonight was her first night after completing training. Brittney did a fine job of taking care of us. Food was typical Beefs, wings were good, fish and chips were, well frozen fish and chips. This was a straight up average experience. Would have been better had the Sangria been available, and maybe the decor up. Of course there are 50billion11 things on the sea floor given how many ships have sunk. The wide variety of things to explore here, I could have easily spent several hours here. There is a section on Mardi Gras, the history of the lands, the peoples who were here before the Europeans. The kids' section was super cute. The exhibit on mourning was also great. I do like knowing about the history of mourning. The timeline that included slavery was eye-opening. The area with all of the buggies was delightful, and I wish I could ride one!
