Just like what you would expect..like so many others I've been to over the years. Chuck E Cheese makes it fun for kids. As you enter there is someone that stamps your arm and your child's arm to match. It's roped off, so you cannot leave until they check and make sure you match up. It's a good security measure to help protect your kids. Times have changed and they no longer use coins in the games. Instead, you purchase a card with so many rides/games on it and just hold up the card to the sensor on the machine you want to play. Very much like the new hotel keys they have. So don't lose your card!!! The pizza is decent and my granddaughter loved it. She really enjoyed watching the mechanical characters as they entertained her during lunch. I recommend The pepperoni pizza . The place is clean and there are many games and small rides to keep your little ones happy. It's not cheap so I recommend you find a coupon to help cover costs. Been here 100 times at least, this is the first time I ever saw salad bar filled and looking decent . The front staff lady did not smile once so I guess she was having a bad day. What can you say about Chuck E Cheese's, the kids love it. The Pizza is edible and the salad bar is decent. They also serve beer. If you are want a low stress birthday party, this is the place. Our final field trip of summer camp with 20 kids! A great end to summer! It was clean and the manager made us feel very welcome. He helped me with the kids before I even had to ask. Like having gift bags, marker to write names on cups, and helped serve us. I couldn't have picked a better place to take a load of kids. This place serves its purpose very well. It provides intense frenetic entertainment to kids between 2 and 12 along with pizza and a close degree of supervision. There are many young servers/entertainers/hosts who must be called by God to such a position of service to man. They provide organizational assistance for very large birthday parties and seem to have a wonderful time doing it. Through it all Chuck E. Cheese himself weaves through the crown making friends and having his picture taken. I thought it was amusing to see a giant mouse circling through the place followed by a crowd of children in an ironic twist on the Pied Piper of Hamelin. The games are all 25 cents each, operated by tokens you buy along with your food. Expect your kid to easily go thru $30 worth while you're there. The games often pay off in tickets which can be traded in for inexpensive toys at checkout. It's all fun and games for young parents. It can be a little daunting as a place to take your grandchildren if they are little. Also, be sure your kid is able to handle the crowd, the constant din of kids having fun as it is a little confusing sometimes. Some of the game machines take pictures of the kid and this can be fun and you get a nice souvenir. I'd expect you could spend well over $60 for a family of four. This includes pizza and maybe a salad bar for mom, drinks and tokens for the kiddies. This does NOT include the price of the aspirin for your headache when you get home. Security is well done. When you walk in, you are stamped with an invisible serial number, one for each member of the family. When you leave, your numbers are checked again to assure you have your own kid and have not switched him for another.. I went to Chuck E. Cheese's on a Saturday at 1:00 PM, certainly the worst possible time to go. Call ahead for arrangements for your birthday party for little Sophia and her 20 closest friends. If you have a big family and are doing a birthday party chuck-e-cheese is no longer the place to go, I can't see paying $200-$600 for a birthday party in the location alone. My grandson loves coming to this place. We spend a fortune on food and tokens when we come. Usually they have 2 registers open when they're busy, not today or the last few times we were here. I waited in line for over 20 minutes to order pizza. There was a guy at the other register but he wasn't taking orders, wouldn't even look up at us. When I finally placed my order there were 11 people behind me! Still one cashier. I wanted to add something to the order a few minutes later but the line was so long and still only one cashier! The pizza is really good here, I have to admit just too expensive when families are there to see their kids have some fun. Most of the time we just get a few bucks worth of tokens and let my grandson play for a bit then leave. This place would make more money if they had more people on register, someone to go to the games when the kids lose money, and lower the price on food! It's not a movie theater, that's for another review. It's almost spring, take the kids to the park and enjoy the day together for free! I had my daughter's birthday party there and it was the worst experience we have had at a restaurant. The waitress/hostess kept telling me I only had reserved for a party of 8 children and I had reserved for 11. She said I didn't order pizza and I did. I had to pull out my phone and show her my confirmation email w/all the party details. To top it all off they brought the tokens and just sat them on a table, of course it was the wrong amount of tokens (it was tokens for a party of 8 after i should her verification). However the manager corrected the issues eventually. Ten minutes before the party was supposed to end they just pick all of our things up and put them in a both w/o notifying me. At the end of the party they gave the bill to someone else who was not even with my party. With all this being said I a utterly disappointed at how unorganized they were i guess i expected more for roughly $300. I should have went to Mommy and Me! read more

I had a surprise birthday party at the Roanoke location on Sunday 8/7//16. Most of The games were out of order. A lot of tokens were lost. I was told by hostess that all party guest could get in the ticket blaster. So I told all of them they would get Their Turn. Not so. Everyone unhappy. Kids were extremely hungry waiting on pizza to arrive. Their was no one working to redeem Tickets. My daughter waited 30 minutes and because of Time restraints had her kids to give their tickets away. Again, everyone unhappy. I was also told that the plates would be free. I was billed for them at The end. I was told that I would have help carrying Things to the car. Than did not happen. I ask for a bag To carry everything out and that didn't happen either. What a horrible experience. This affected 7 of my grandchildren. We ended up giving our remaining tokens away and deciding this was our last trip To chuckie cheese I might add it cost me a small fortune for some very un happy kids. read more
