We all know car dealerships and salespeople are not known for their overall honesty but Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Staff takes the cake, from the top to the bottom they would rather climb a tree to tell you a lie rather than stand on the ground and tell you the truth.. I won't bother you with a long story that cost me hundreds of dollars out of my pocket and I'll never get back, but I highly recommend avoiding this particular dealership.. I used to know the owner Chuck Stevens about 15-18 years ago and he was one of the greatest persons I've had the pleasure of meeting.. I doubt very seriously he knows about all the bs going on there or I'm sure he would fix it if he did. Stay away from this place!! After reading more reviews from this and other sites I see it's a regular thing with them.. Last thing.. One of the five star reviews this dealership has is a fake review by an actual employee,,, and I know this because the person used the same fake name with me at the dealership.. Absolutely incredible service. Our car broke down on I-10 outside Mobile and every Chevrolet shop in the area was busy. Stan squeezed us in in the afternoon, identified the 2 broken parts and got his crew to work diligently until we were running again - same day. I compared the repair cost and they not only did it quickly and effectively, but they did it at a very reasonable cost. If you're going to break down, get your car into Stan's shop. read more

Warning to other shoppers -- save yourself the trip. Before driving out to Chuck Stevens (Bay Minette / Atmore area), I called ahead to confirm a specific vehicle was available. I was told not only that it was there, but that they had multiple similar options. That was enough for me to make the drive -- over an hour, since they're in a rural area. The moment I walked in, the story fell apart. Suddenly the vehicle had "just sold," or they "couldn't find it" -- the details kept shifting. No apology, no real explanation, no accountability. What they did do was immediately try to redirect me toward other vehicles on the lot I had no interest in buying. This is a textbook bait-and-switch: say whatever it takes on the phone to get the customer through the door, then apply pressure once they've already made the trip and feel invested. Whether it's a deliberate tactic or just a culture of careless communication, the result is the same -- wasted time and zero integrity. If honest, straightforward communication matters to you when making a major purchase, look elsewhere. I wouldn't trust this dealership with a phone call, let alone a car deal. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! I purchased a vehicle from here, signed all of the papers. They kept my car for weeks and did not want to give it to me. Kept saying I could not get it but would not give me an explanation. Finally got my car almost a month later, after coming back multiple times. They gave it to me and it was disgusting. Not detailed. 3/4 tires were flat and kept going flat after I got multiple new tires. Radio works In the front and not the back. This happened at the end of 2022. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

This is for the Ford shop The shop is a very good place. We ha a catalytic converter stolen from our RV. W had to take it to a local shop in Gulfport. Got a new one but all wrong. Constantly got the check engine light. They did not stand behind their work. Found this place after a bunch of looking. CALeb was great. Kept us informed and the issue was fixed. Update: I have a 2016 silverado. The first transmission failed at 62k, GM refused mileage forgiveness and said it changed after 2016 from 100k to 60k. This dealer slapped a built one on mine and it's failing 18k later. A day after it started failing, my infotainment system went out, my door speakers failed, my AC goes on and off and my rear end locked up in the tunnel. The truck is 3 years old. I tried to trade it with this dealership and they said that they would not take it on a trade after "major repairs" even if done by GM. I am a disabled veteran and was given the run around the whole time by the sales team. They also refused to give me a rental or shop vehicle while they repaired mine. I have my lawyer drafting paperwork on Chevy and this dealer as well. I'm disappointed at how they treat veterans and the quality of these piles of junk rolling off the lot. read more

Highly recommend avoiding this place at all cost. Earlier this afternoon my wife and I were headed to grab some dinner when we spotted a black 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. She's been wanting one so we stopped in to check it out. Once we arrived a salesman approached us just like anytime (I can not remember his name) he showed us the Tahoe and a few other vehicles we even drove to another one of their lots. We decided we were only interested in the 2022 Tahoe and I wanted an out the door price, he stated he was confident that he could us to the amount we were willing to pay for it. He then had us fill out some paper work (one of which being a credit app) while he was speaking with the manager about bottom dollar. He stated our credit would not be ran and that we were only filling it out so we wouldn't have to on the back end if we were able to make a deal.( I made it clear I did not want my credit pulled at all until a price was agreed upon.) As he was in the managers office (getting a price) my credit alert dinged for a hard inquiry. I left his office and went to the mangers office where the salesperson was and proceeded to confront the issue. He had no remorse no answer and was unable to say anything for the most part. No apologies from him in any form. I do understand it was probably a sales tactic to make me feel obligated to go ahead and purchase with them. This place is untrustworthy and undeserving of my business or yours. I will be purchasing a Tahoe now since my credit has been pulled but rest assured it will not be from Chuck Stevens Chevrolet. read more

Wow! What an incredible experience! We were in town for Spring Break and were in immediate need of emergency service in order to make our vehicle safe for the lonnnng return road trip back to Wisconsin. We arrived on the way back home without and appointment and were helped right away. They diagnosed the problem, got the part and had us back on the road as soon as they good! We had our four children along, one of which was an impatient toddler. Everyone was so kind, understanding and friendly! The cost was very reasonable considering the circumstances. I cannot day enough good things about this place! I wish we lived closer because this would definitely be our families go-to dealership! I went to purchase a truck at Chuck Stevens Chevrolet of Bay Minette recently. I did not purchase from them because their Finance Manager Brett smelled like weed. He was obviously high. His eyes were red and he had difficulty handling the paperwork. Brett was very unprofessional and when I told him I didn't want to sign the paperwork he shouted at me. I told him not to yell at me and he told me to sign. I told Brett he was high and I knew it. He became irate and was clearly unstable. I left the office in a hurry. I should have told the manager and owner about what happened that day. So I'm doing it now. Brett should be drug tested regularly. read more
