While I appreciate this company for making it out to my rental in a timely manner and addressing a…read moreclogged toilet, there are just some things that don't sit right with me and I think people need to be aware of. #1- they were called for a CLOGGED TOILET. I (the landlord) was not able to be present during the repair. Instead of just addressing the issue at hand, they walked around my entire house to include the basement and pointed out to her several things. ("Water pipes needed to be completely replaced, along with all the sewer lines", etc). I've had repairs done on the sewer lines last year and had a clean out installed by another company. This is totally noticeable because it looks brand new. The sewer line is fine. #2- i believe this was a fear-mongering tactic used to try to get more work and money out of her. Taking advantage of her not understanding these things. Again, they were called for a clogged toilet. Not a "broken water line", not a "backed up sewer", none of that. #3- the fill valve in the toilet needs to be "repaired". They quoted me $400 to repair a fill valve, flapper and supply line. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! A total rebuild kit costs $30 at Lowe's. They told her that she would need to replace the entire water tank as well. *** Can I just mention that a brand new toilet costs $100 at Lowe's??*** This is really sad and honestly criminal. I hope to god that you don't try this on anyone who doesn't know any better. I've been around this type of work my entire life and never have I EVER seen this kind of pricing. Absolutely not happening. Reevaluate your prices and be honest about what you're doing. Thanks for responding and unclogging the toilet quick, though. I do appreciate that.

(1)My Trane A/C unit, installed new 8/2012 by Total Tech LLC, did not work when turned on @ the end…read moreof 5/2013. I called Total Tech LLC for a yearly service @ informed A/C down; 5/31/2013 Total Tech LLC performed the routine yearly service & found that a 20 amp circuit breaker had tripped. I paid for the service call $95.40. (2)During the week of 7/7/2013, the A/C unit went down. The technician found that the system was "freezing-up" & needed to replace the "TXV" part, did not have it & was ordered from Texas; it arrived a week later, but the technician discovered that it was an incorrect part for the unit & would have to re-order a correct TXV. I didn't want to wait another week, so Total Tech LLC was able to locate the part in Beckley, WV, had it driven to Frankford, WV, (3) & installed the correct TXV part. Late that afternoon, the 20 amp circuit breaker tripped again, & I called the owner of Total Tech LLC, @ 5:00pm to get the technician back. (4)When he arrived at 6:15pm, he could not find anything wrong with the unit but said that he would be back on Tuesday, 7/22/2013 to replace the circuit breaker. I called Total Tech LLC on 7/22/2013 & the owner said "We think you need to get someone else." This system is under a ten (10) year warranty (parts and labor). The technician never came back, and I was billed $159.00 for after-hours overtime of one hour, and the system is still not working. (5)Well I did get "someone else" today, and the first problem noticed by the new air conditioning company was that the A/C unit was pulling 22 amps from a 20 amp circuit breaker causing the breaker to trip, which should have been addressed when the new unit was installed in 2012 by Total Tech LLC. So the new company installed a new 30 amp circuit breaker supplied by me; also found that the new "TXV sensing bulb" was incorrectly mounted by Total Tech LLC. The new company re-mounted & insulated the TXV; system working properly.

I can't say enough about how professional and thorough Technician David Hardison was. We were observing his work ethic. He took pride, quite neat and organized. Friendly, skilled experts! A1 replaced my entire upstairs…read moreHVAC system yesterday and I could not be happier. I had three companies look at my old system before I chose A1. They got the job because a. They listened to me, b. They gave me options, c. They asked a bunch of questions and checked out the house before providing a quote. They did not try to over-sell me on tonnage, high-SEER, or fancy technology. Most of all every A1 associate I dealt with from the office staff to Will who built out my quote to Jeff and Cody who did the installation were all friendly and courteous and likeable. Also when there were decisions to be made about ways to run the lines, etc. they came and got me and explained the options instead of just guessing or picking one that I would have to live with forever. Cost-wise I'm a cheapskate and I'd considered doing the system myself, but A1 put in the whole system for about what I would have paid to do it myself plus having it charged and tested. Highly recommended!
