After a terrible experience at my last vet I was so happy to come to Chuckanut Feline Center and have the staff actually care about my pets. They were kind and considerate to my cats fear level and actually fully examined them which my last vet failed to do. When one of my cats injured his tail they were quick to get us an appointment and get him the care he needed. They returned my calls and emails and wanted follow ups on how he was doing. It's been such a relief and I cannot recommend them enough! read more

absolutely terrible. I've taken my cat here several times for checkups. she was consistently vomiting, and the vet here told me that's simply not a big deal, and she just eats too much. I feed her a tablespoon of wet food at a time, but apparently vomiting after eating half the time is just normal. Also huge disconnect between scheduling and vets, as they give completely opposite information. Go elsewhere, they do not deserve your business. read more

When I moved from Colorado, my best feline friend had a tumor in his paw. The vet in Colorado told me that his leg would probably need to be amputated. They also told me that his kidney disease would probably get him within a year. I took my guy to this clinic on the recommendation from a coworker. They successfully treated his tumor and they helped me provide a diet and happy lifestyle for my best friend. He lived and loved for an extra two years because of their guidance. When it came time to let my friend go, everyone at this clinic was amazing. I am so grateful for their support and kindness. They made the loss beautiful and bearable. I am now taking my two new feline family members to them. They really are the best cat veterinarians in town, by my standard. read more

So glad I switched to CFC! The vets there are knowledgeable, thorough, and obviously care about their patients. I know that if one of my cats has an injury or extended illness it's going to be a somewhat painful hit financially but, after having brought in three different cats, I've always come away thinking the charges were very reasonable. The doctors and staff at CFC have gone out of their way to not "nickel and dime" me such as when we recently brought in a tiny, malnourished, rescued barn kitten and they didn't charge for the first dose of dewormer because it was such a small amount. With another of my cats, they gave me samples of pill pockets and similar products so I could see what would work best for administering the medication. They'd taken the time to dole out and label different products in mini ziplocs. At my previous vet clinic, I'm sure they would have just told me to go buy some pill pockets. read more

Really not impressed. I was referred here by another local vet who didn't have any appointments that fit my schedule, and was hoping to have a positive vet experience (both for me and my kitty). The office visit cost was not unreasonable, but the wait time was quite long - I arrived a few minutes past 11 for my appointment, and did not actually see the vet until 11:40. My primary purpose for coming in was to have my cat's eyes checked, which the vet did, but he did not check my cat's teeth, nor did he check my cats ears which are both primary components of a routine checkup. They also didn't check for fleas. Because he was checking for an ulcer on my cat's eye, the vet did do a thorough eye exam with an eye-stain, but neglected to tell me that it would cost me an additional $35, so I was surprised when what was supposed to be a $48 dollar visit was actually nearly $80. Even though I would have probably still gone with the eye-stain, I would have preferred to have the option to opt out of the procedure - especially as I had informed the vet that I was a student and on a student's budget before he did the procedure. The wait time combined with the lack of thouroughness and surprise bill addition means that I will be shopping for a new vet. **My kitty and I saw Dr. Feringer, however there are two other doctors at the practice who we have not worked with - if I do go back, I will be scheduling with one of them read more

Consistent, quality care. The vet listens to me, and takes time to answer my questions patiently. Front desk staff is great as well.

By far my favorite vet I've brought my cat to. She's a fifteen year old lady and I'm pretty particular about her care, and I also fostered a kitten for a while, but this place constantly is wonderful. They have memberships for a monthly fee that covers most care, and all the services I need (grooming, shots, surgery, etc.), as well as a friendly and attentive staff. Overall I'm always impressed and we leave happy! read more

Absolute best place to take your little precious ball of fur and love! They treat your animal so well and they are accomodating to everyone's needs! I took my cat Otis here and they were so gentle and nice. It's good to have a place around that specializes in just cats because they can really help you out with diet problems or if your kitty gets in a fight. Plus, they remember your cat every time and chances are the little creature will remember and not be so scared the next time they go. read more

Unfortunately, changing my rating due to recent issues. This clinic has done well for my older cat, but not for my younger cat. He's been in several times for an issue that is still unresolved, about 5 times now, with no solution in sight. Took our 12 year old cat in for concerns over a small growth which had torn open. Got an appointment the same day and the receptionist was very nice. It was a quick wait see our veterinarian & vet tech, who are both super welcoming and cheerful. My cat received a pretty thorough exam and the vet was absolutely great with him. He was pretty stubborn but they rolled with the punches and got everything done in less than an hour. Turns out his growth was just a large skin tag and it would heal just fine on its own. We discovered he had fleas and got enough treatment for both our cats for several months, plus spray for the house. I was very happy with the service we received and I even got an estimate for removing the skin tag at a later date. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone for their cats needs. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and made our visit very comfortable. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. A+ all around. read more

THANK YOU for allowing me to give my fur baby the BEST possible care while still being affordable! This vet office did more than I could have ever expected. Being a college student means funds are very tight, but pet-people know that life without your pet isn't a life at all. Your office provided outstanding care to my cat when he had a scare experiencing urinary crystals for the first time. Over the phone they ket the situation calm and informative. They didn't have an appointment opening to get him in right away (it was somewhat of an emergency), so they had him stay at their office under supervision until they had a chance to look at him. While I was there dropping him off they made time in their full schedule to check him quickly for a urinary blockage, so that I would know right away what the situation was and didn't have to worry all day. They were also able to give me a predicted receipt of costs so that I would know what to expect. Upon picking him up the next morning, I could tell he was clearly well taken care of (gave him his favorite food, kept his toy with him, hugged him, and even brushed him!) during his all day and all night stay. The vet techs gushed over how cute he was and told me all the cute things he did while in their care (including making a huge mess), and discussed his diagnosis with me for as long as I needed. This vet office clearly loves cats, is very knowledgeable, and knows how to keep the kitties as comfortable as possible. In the end, the bill came out 50$ LESS than predicted. I was not even charged for an ultrasound, or his overnight stay fee and they let me use a coupon the company had emailed out. WOW. read more

Took my cat to have her anal glands expressed because she seemed to be having issues with it. They were able to fit me in same day with a vet tech, and the whole appointment was so quick. The vet tech was very knowledgeable and suggested a sanitary trim on her anal region due to another issue. My cat came out and seemed much less stressed than when she visited other vets. I took my cat in for a nail trim and to have the plastic nail covers put on. Milimili is not fan of anything involving humans touching her feet and has learned the same twisting escape maneuver ever seen. However, the tech was able to complete the job with only a couple of growls. Her behavior report was good and she wasn't at all stressed when we got home. Good Job!! read more

I've only had one appointment with them, but they were efficient, friendly, and seemed reasonably priced. We saw Dr. Lacciardi, who respected my wishes in regards to treatment, (meaning she didn't try to pressure me one way or another, which I appreciated). One thing I did not like is that they did the exam in another room without me present. I trust their information, but I don't like they didn't ask first. They had taken my cat to another room to draw blood and apparently did the exam there. Next time I will insist that portion done in front of me. They also made a mistake in billing, which I caught later. But I will pay more attention next time. read more

My cat is not used to being around dogs or any other animals. He's a bit of a scaredy cat, so I prefer a cat's only clinic. Since this is the only place that offers cats only service, I choose to go here. Also, I do feel that the vets are very caring and good at what they do, but if you call with a question or a request, be prepared to wait for days for a response. There are definitely opportunities for improvement, though, including communication and follow-up from calls and/or emails, scheduling of appointments, and organization. The lack of organization and communication is concerning. I wish there were other cat only options in the area. read more

One of the most outstanding experiences we've ever had with a vet. The compassion shown and the technique in dealing with our very timid, frightened kitty was awe inspiring. I highly recommend this clinic and all the folks who work there. The person that answers the phone, the person that checked us in, the vet technicians as well as the Dr. (We had Dr. Emily Knopf) were outstanding. All were extremely professional, demonstrated keen knowledge of cats and were very loving and understanding. Our kitty had extensive exams, x-rays, injections and medications. We were given explicit instructions on how to follow-up. We left feeling our kitty was getting the best care possible. read more

She was informative, compassionate and understanding of my limited financial ability. Some people just understand cats and that is what I found at the cat clinic of Bellingham. They treated my kitty with respect and understood how scary it is to go to the vet. Plus there are no barking dogs in the waiting room. The doctor was very professional and answered all of my questions which calmed my nerves as well. We've lived in Bellingham for 17 years, have always had cats, and always brought them to the Cat Clinic. They've cared for our cats through everything from simple spay and neuter to cancer surgery, and even putting our beloved pet down when there was nothing else to be done. They have always gone above and beyond the call of duty - calling us after surgery to check on our cat's recovery, taking care of our cats as if they were their own. When our cat passed away, they sent a bouquet of flowers and a sympathy card signed by everyone there that day. I would give this place more stars but the lady at the front desk was just rude. I filled out all the required paperwork and handed it to her. She looked over my paper and then laughed and showed the other person at the desk my paperwork, pointed to it and whispered to her and then laughed again. Um really? I asked what was so funny and she said "oh it says you found out about us online" um ok not really that funny. I didn't have to wait too long for my cat to be seen. My cat is VERY shy but she did amazing with the vet and I was really surprised that my cat let the vet hold her - that is a sign of a good vet and told me that she really cared about the cats. She was able to tell me everything that was wrong with my cat and fixed her right up. Then I was handed the bill. A bit more than I had expected but these things aren't cheap. I went to the front desk to pay and once again the same lady that laughed at me. She tried desperately to upsale me on everything telling me I needed this or my cat needed that - it was incredibly annoying. read more

took my fur baby to be spayed and had made my appointment weeks before the date. they never did the surgery after keeping her there all day. the excuses were that they had two emergencies, they only have three staff members, their x-ray machine was broken, the doctor had been kicked in the head by a horse last year(why did I need to know this?), there was no one willing to stay late to care for her if they did it and they should never have booked her procedure the day after a holiday anyway. needless to say, I was furious and broken-heart. now my poor kitty is in heat again and really suffering. I would never take any animal that I care for to this facility. read more
