Since I last wrote, our hairy, crazy boy has been coming here regularly for grooming. We know he is far from perfect but somehow he comes back looking absolutely gorgeous! I think the groomer must be part magician as this dog is huge and never holds still for a minute (labradoodle, 70 lbs). Every time they bring him out after grooming, it takes me a minute to recognize him as he looks so different! We can tell he feels better too! He also enjoys hearing, smelling the other dogs there for boarding, daycare hahah and is not in any hurry to leave . So simple for us parents, we just drop him off and a few hours later, we get a call that he is ready. Excellent customer service, everyone is super attentive and polite. Great...my dog loves going to camp, gets excited when we turn into the driveway loves the staff, comes home tired and content. She loves the playtime with the other dogs. Will not board here again the communication was awful. I signed my dog up for a package and I do not think he received anything with it. They said they would send pictures and nothing ever came even after trying to call and follow up. If you can't follow through how can you be trusted? Left an entire bag of his special dog food and when I picked him up it wasn't even opened or used... Brought in with a new leash and collar I was told I never left it.. I definitely did. They returned him to me with a rope as a leash..yes a rope. I'm sick to my stomach and will no longer leave him at any daycare again. read more

Always kind and conscientious of my "Velcro dog" whenever we have to leave her behind. They make sure she gets her special food required for her medical diet and gets supervised play time. My husband and I toured the facility and were impressed with the set-up as far as kennels and outside play areas. I mentioned that the last boarder didn't meet my exceptions of care that they promised. My boy is not altered and that seems to be an issue with some facilities; he is also a high energy dog. I was assured that he would receive a positive experience so I made the reservation for five days.This was the longest he had ever been boarded. At drop off, I confirmed that he was to have a temperament test to see if he qualified for group play and that would be sent the day after the test along with pictures. I didn't receive the results of the test nor did I receive any pictures at I requested while we were gone. We were able to pick him up a day early and the weekend employees were less than impressive. I asked for his temperament test results and was told no test was given but results would be sent on Monday. Interesting. I also was not charged for the extra Ball Play or the Kong treat at night. Therefore, he did not get what I asked for nor was his feeding schedule adhered to. I sent an email outlining all of my concerns and did receive a reply from the owner that she would be investigating with her staff. I received the temperament test results and four blurry pictures on Monday afternoon; but I never received any further communication from the owner on my other concerns. I believe my boy was cared for; but not to the level that the employees assured me of at the drop off or the add-ons I requested. I would say that the communication between the staff and the owner is quite lacking; also communication between clients who clearly have concerns and are not happy with the services contracted and paid for and the owner are lacking. My husband and I considered day care to help him not be so nervous around other dogs while we were away, but I will have to carefully consider that decision after this experien read more

We have always left our Springer Spaniels at Rover Stay Over, when we go out of town. The staff are very nice, caring, and always let me know how they are doing when I call to check on them. I debated on leaving this review as this incident happened a few months back, but now after hearing rumblings of the care at this place I felt my duty to leave a review. I or my parents will never ever send our dogs here again. We had our dogs and my moms sent here for a few days for a vacation we all went on. We weren't given updates like we were told we'd get. We would call and be told we would get a call back and never did. when we called the second time after no update The girl on the phone told us my moms dog wouldn't come out of the cage for play time (very unlike him he's a puppy and a doodle) so they put him in a corner and made him take meds is what she shared with us on the phone. The mind blowing part is that the girl wouldn't share what calming meds were even given. She did say she would take a pic and text it and never did. We left our trip early to come home and when they went to pick their dog up they asked for the new food bag and toys plus blanket they had left with him and the girl said they didn't leave any... they persisted and brought out the food but not the toys or blanket eventually they brought out toys that weren't even theirs my parents left in utter shock. When my husband went to pick up our dogs separately but same stay they said they didn't have them registered as staying there... he gave phone number name etc finally another person came up and said "o the white dog ya we have him." My wife and I have a 3 year old border collie mix who is extremely anxious and this was the first time we had run out of options with friends and family and had to board her for a few days. Rover stay over came highly recommended from a number of family friends so we decided to give it a try. We were fortunate enough to get a last minute spot at their facility. Given our dogs anxiety and dog reactivity they were extremely accommodating for her needs. Including but not limited to, putting her in an area with the older dogs because it tends to be a lot quieter, making sure she had plenty of solo play time outside to get fresh air and run around, and they were making sure she was eating well and taking her medication when needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking them out in order to see if your dog will be a great fit with them. read more

She came home with tracheae collapse and burns all over her body. So as the trachea collapse has progressed, my Ellie chokes all day long now. So...I have no choice but to put her down. We have been boarding our lab mix here for 3 years and absolutely LOVE these folks!!! All the people that work here know Duke by name and he is so happy to see them that it sometimes makes me jealous!! He is never anxious about going "to camp". We have left him here as long as 3 weeks, and he has never been anxious or weird when we pick home up - just worn out! He gets lots of play time with other dogs. They are really good about checking compatibility so that dogs get the "right" play time. Duke was slightly injured and need a little easier time, so he was put with the older dogs for play time. We've boarded our 14 year old dog here twice. First stay was okay other than being informed of a kennel cough outbreak. Second stay, upon picking him up, we were told that we could not bring him back because of his age. There was no other issue other than that apparently. They were aware of his age and medications prior to him coming there the first time so I'm unsure why it is suddenly an issue. I take my 13 year old dog there and they know him by name which I like. At the last two kennels he wouldn't get out of the car, now he jumps out and barely says "Bye Mom!". They are professional, loving and the place is clean. The groomer is exceptional as well! We can leave him overnight for a week and know that we don't have to check in because he's happy and taken care of. read more

Five stars just aren't enough...Unmeasurable is more like it! My Son was diagnosed with a medical condition that required major surgery. We elected to board his fury baby for what we hoped to be only a few nights. Sadly, the procedure was more complicated than envisioned and our hospital stay turned into 12 days. The owners were beyond gracious in accommodating our needs and proved during the Holiday Season that LIGHT can exist even from a hospital setting. Pictures and videos were sent to my Son which made his face light up! Such care and compassion were extended to our family during a difficult time and for this we owe so much gratitude to Rover Stay Over! We boarded our Lab here three times. The first two visits went well and the third did not. When we picked him up he was completely out of sorts. I thought I'd give it one more try and found out when booking the next visit they had changed their boarding packages and the basic fee no longer included any socializing or activity. I had left our 5 month old lab there for almost 3 days and he was only let out for short potty breaks since I didn't pay extra to have him excercised. That is a major change in policy and should have been clearly communicated. I reached out via email and phone to ownership and received no response. The only communication I've received from them is an email asking to vote for them for "best kennel". We've tried another local boarding facility and been very happy with them. read more
