I went to pick up an order as I was waiting on a couple in front of me someone else walked in behind me whenever the couple in front of me was done instead of getting to my order the man at the counter asked the woman behind me for her order first instead of attending me and on top of that we placed the order to be ready at 6:30 and called hours in advance and when he finally got to me he told me that it wasn't ready and I waited til 6:50 do not recommend this place it felt very biased will never come here again read more

The pizza is fine. But we went Saturday afternoon and I watched the lady making the crust. She didn't wear gloves and I watched her wipe her nose with her hand at least 3 times and continue making the pizza. Sadly, we will not be eating here again. We are new to Waco and recently discovered Chuck's. It is our absolute favorite pizza and the service we have received has been excellent! My son told me I should write a review, since we have ordered 3 times in the last couple of weeks. I saw the 2.9 rating and bad reviews and I'm dumbfounded. Maybe we're benefitting from Chuck taking these reviews to heart??? We absolutely love the hand-tossed crust, the Gloria's Margherita Pizza, and the meat lovers. The Alfredo pizza is also yummy but pretty messy. My son has had the meatball sub and raved about it. We won't be ordering pizza from anywhere else. I hope our experience is the rule and not the exception! Service is great and Denny even offered me a Soda or water for the road when I told him how tired I was and grateful I didn't have to make dinner that night. He is the best. read more

I am so confused by the rating of this place. They have excellent pizza and wings. Went here on a wednesday evening and got a medium meat pizza and my friend got a med spinach pizza for less than $15. Wings were very very hot on the inside and well coated with their sauces and seasoning. Pizza didnt take long to make, nor did the wings. Definitly a place im going to go back to. Why i didnt give it a 5 star was their customer service was lacking as nobody seemed to really care. They also have deals as if they are planning to go out of business soon. Chuck's? More like Yuk's...at least with my experience. We ordered the Stromboli online at around 4pm, for a scheduled pickup of 5pm. I went to pickup and the food at the time scheduled, and the box felt cold. Turns out the whole thing was cold. Took it back after taking a bite and they said that they made it when I ordered not for when I scheduled the pickup. So it had been sitting there for an hour. Dude. They remade it for me and I finally got a hot Stromboli home and it was just - meh. Nothing special at all. I'm sure their pizza is better, but can't say I'll be back to try. read more

OH, MY, GOD!!!!!!! Do not eat here unless you want food poisoning or worse! They have NO SANITATION standards. I ordered here not 10 minutes ago and demanded my money back. I placed my order with a rather unwashed millennial who gave my order to a slightly less filthy other millennial who proceeded to start making my pizzas without washing his hands, he had just been drinking a McDonalds drink and been messing with his phone. I told the first guy that he needs to wash his hands before making my pizza, he told him to wash his hands, which he did however continued making the same dough he had been making prior to washing his hands. DISGUSTING. Another older man walks in and bends over exposing his entire butt crack in the kitchen. I told the guy who was making my pizza that I wanted a different one because he started making it without washing his hands PRIOR to starting my pizza. He said his hands were clean, I said you were just sitting here on your phone, your hands are not clean, you're going to kill somebody! The older man told him to remake my pizza and he started to argue with the guy. I then told them I wanted my money back. The older man said he was the manager but didn't seem to care too much that his employees don't know the health code. I told another lady who just walked in not to order here, she heard me tell him his staff is violating health code 101, I guess she decided to risk it and ordered anyway. GROSS, DISGUSTING! For pick up orders, I have always been pleased. For delivery....not so much. When order was taken, I was told 30 minutes. Ordered at 5:59. At 6:53 I called to check, was told delivery had just left. At 7:25, called to check on it again,, mentioned it had been out of the oven over an hour,, was told there were no discounts,, nothing could be done, call Chuck tomorrow. At 7:42, driver finally arrived, food is not warm. Told again to call Chuck tomorrow, of course after food is paid for. Cannot believe I was not told there was one delivery person, was never given the option to pick it up while it was fresh, was not offered coupon or discount. Taking a break from. CHUCK'S. If you're anywhere near Lakeshore Dr you have to try this place out. Its not your typical cookie cutter pizza franchise, their ingredients look and taste fresh and they're usually done with my order within 10-15 minutes of placing it. Well, if you get past the subpar service of the younger workers and incompetence on prices during the ordering process, the pizza is actually very good. I've only done pickup so cannot attest to the other reviews of health standards. The new chicken Alfredo pizza is extremely good along with the mahgerita (sp?) and the works. They have a half off pizza deal on Wednesday's that you might have to argue with the staff to honor bc as mentioned, not the sharpest tools in the shed. I live in San Antonio and come to Waco about once a month to have dinner with my 96 YO mother. I was told Chuck's offered a discount on Wednesday. Since I was driving, I asked my wife to call for a pizza and salad. She called three or four times and the line was busy. She decided to place the order on line. When I arrived and was charged full price - they said the discount does not apply to on-line orders. I indicated the lines were busy so ordered on-line, but management did not care. However, when you give your number (at the request of the guy taking your order) then they can be in touch with you when their estimated ready time of 15 to 20 minutes turns to more than an hour. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Not really because of the delay ("we didn't have wings," "we had to cook them 4 times (whatever that means)") but because of the RUDE RUDE RUDE treatment. Waited more than 45 minutes AFTER we'd arrived to pick up after the 20-minute time we were told. We were given our food AFTER ALREADY paying and then... No apology, no offer to make it right, etc. So I had to ask... What do we need to do to make this right? They sure took my money with no delay. And what could they offer for making a very stressful week for this hard-working mom and school teacher worse? I mean, I should have made food instead of splurging to take it easy and NOT cook. They offer NOTHING except argument when we tried to just state our side (guy said to us when we asked if he was going to listen to our question/side or just argue with us, and I quote, "Oh, I'm arguing with you.") and ask why it all went so crappy. No compensation or discount for a $40 meal that was beyond delayed, and no kindness or apology.
