We were offered ZERO compensation and, because it was rodeo weekend, the nearest accommodation we could find was in Steinbach. It was incredibly frustrating and left a very bad taste in our mouths. Against our better judgment, we booked here again this year. Knowing what happened last time, I actually called before starting to travel to confirm our stay AND specifically to confirm that our room was booked and that we would not arrive to another double-booking situation. We drove all the way from Gimli tonight, arrived to check in and -- unbelievably -- THEY DOUBLE-BOOKED OUR ROOM AGAIN. Now, after attending our event tonight, we have no room to return to and have to drive all the way back to Gimli. Once could be an unfortunate mistake. Twice -- after I specifically called ahead because of what happened the first time -- is completely unacceptable. I genuinely do not understand how an inn can operate this way. Your most basic responsibility is to manage your room reservations, and somehow ours has been mishandled two years in a row. We planned our evening around having accommodation, drove a significant distance, and did everything we possibly could to make sure this wouldn't happen again. It still did.
