My first Tony Roma's visit was at this location. It was roughly a fifteen-minute drive from where I used to live in Winnipeg. There was a parking lot. I drove a friend over to this restaurant, parked, and went in. Tony Roma's is known for its ribs. I have been to this location twice in my life. Did I ever order ribs? Nooo! Back then, I was still developing my love for food. My first time, I ordered a top sirloin steak with shrimp. The steak was so good and flavourful. I remember how happy I was eating it. The shrimp were perfectly done. The next time, I ordered wings. They were delicious! Wings are my lifeline. On one of these visits, I had an amazing dessert. It was a chocolate brownie in a small black skillet, with vanilla ice cream on top. It was fantastic. I don't see that on the menu these days, which is a bummer. However, there is a dessert trio with my name written all over it to consume. Sadly, this Tony Roma's location is currently closed due to COVID-19. When I am back in Winnipeg, I'd love to drop by this location and give the ribs a try, along with dessert. (137) read more

+.5 for service I've actually been to Tony Roma's several times in Winnipeg, but realized I never made a review of this location. It's not a place I visit often due to pricing and the fact I prefer supporting local business, but every so often my friend has a craving for their ribs and we end up here, such as this past week. We went on a Wednesday, so their wing and riblings were on special. I shall begin by saying their riblings are an excellent deal on Wednesdays where you get a pound for only $8.99. You do need to order a drink, but $12 for a pound of riblings + soda drink is excellent value for a place like this. My friend continues to enjoy the back ribs here, although the pricing is quite steep for them these days. The riblings are very good for $12 with a drink, but I wouldn't order them at the $25 regular price. The sauce was good, but the ribling meat quality is definitely a step lower than the ribs. I'd rather pay a bit extra for the back ribs. Service in the lounge was excellent. I'll return for their Wednesday specials, but any other days the price point is a bit too much for me to be a regular visitor. read more

Our reservation was for 6:45 PM but somehow they wrote it down for 7 PM. This ended up working out well because we arrived a little late. They sat us right away. We ordered the kicking shrimp to share as a starter and it was fantastic. We then ordered 1) ribs sampler with coleslaw and beans, 2) riblings with bbq bourbon sauce and sides of broccoli and baked potato 3) potato soup and French fries. All the food was excellent and our server Nate was top notch. I only wish with the sampler that they had little flags telling you the sauce on each sampler. I definitely had my favourites but didn't know which was which. We have been here many times and I have only been let down once when I ordered a strawberry pecan salad that came without pecans (not by request). They brought me a bowl of pecans to pour on top after I pointed it out. I would definitely come again. read more

The onion loaf is the best thing! Definitely order !! The drinks were a MISS which was horrible. It was busy but not extremely. The margaritas were just syrup and sugar. Couldn't take more than one sip. Great deal for the wings !! read more

For a chain and family style restaurant, this place is decent. I haven't been here in years and it looks like the Pembina location went through a reno so it looks way better than what I remembered it to be. Good for large groups and prices are very reasonable, especially since the portions are quite large. There's even a kid's menu. Service is really warm and efficient and food service was super fast even on a busy night. I don't ever see a need to ever order appy's at a place like this. I ordered the combo meal which includes the St. Louis ribs plus another protein of your choice and two sides. I replaced the St. Louis ribs with the original back ribs for an extra $2 and combined it with a quarter BBQ chicken, baked potato and rice for $22.50. It was a ridiculous amount of food - I had so much leftover. The ribs were tender and had a lot of sauce on it, the chicken had the same sauce too and was really juicy. I also like the riblings here as well. But the food is on the saltier side. read more

We were staying over at a friends in winnipeg and he took us to this place, we all were painfully hungry! They had this deal at night for a pound of wings for $4-5 dollars, are you kidding me? That is very cheap. I was thinking it probably wouldn't be very good because its so cheap, but i was gladly proven wrong! These wings were really good and Juicy (like St Louis in Toronto), and they had really good flavours, i personally loved suicide and honey garlic. I dont know about tony romas... They are good i guess but we visit this specific location becauseof Meagan, she is the best server we've ever had. Her service is amazing, she's always attentive.. Ribs were excellent. Half onion ring sufficient for 4 people as an app. 6 ribs 1/2, 9 ribs regular. Large portion of fries. Coleslaw below average. Service adequate but not receive wipes and bowl for ribs until requested. read more

Was here as part of a larger party and found that although this location tried hard to service the party the service was a lot slower then everyone expected, which did not help with that uncomfortable seats. Had one of the apps which was the best part of the meal found both the pasta I ordered and the other dish I tried to not do it for me. Meal was mediocre. Too much salty garbage on my lobster tail. What happened after the meal is the kicker. My daughter purposefully ordered a full rack of ribs so she could take some home. The server took her plate and never brought back half a rack of ribs! I was quite upset as I had just paid 250.00 including tip. When my daughter called on our way home she was offered a 10.00 credit. Not good enough. We were half way home across town and the likelihood of returning anytime soon was slim to none. I called and requested a half rack be delivered to her the next day. I was told they would have to check with their driver. I said ok and they assured me they would call her the next day. Guess what? No phone call. When she called them to ask the shift supervisor said she hadn't promised anything and that we could talk to the GM and he wasn't in. Great customer service. Had the pleasure of eating here yesterday. The food was very very tasty, and the dessert was delicious. I would especially like to applaud our server (Amanda). She was extremely friendly, punctual and accommodating with our orders and requests. It was a birthday dinner for myself and one of my buds', which our wives were treating us to. Amanda brought our deserts with a sparkler in them, along with a signed b-day card. Got to say we were all impressed with her thoughtfulness. Worst place to have food when you see mice poop in parts of the restaurant .. The ribs bland steak is always over cooked and rancid from last time I was there and that was about 2&a1/2 weeks ago the half loaf has a bitter taste like is was sitting around for a weeks or sitting under the lamp for hours .. Cleanliness poor walk in front door almost slipped and broke my neck and there was no sign to say floor was wet and before I get in cigarets but around the front door yuck yuck and the service well somewhat at par when you ask for the bill it takes sometimes about 20 minutes to get your dam bill . If you ask you should get ASAP not in 15 to 20 minutes lack of a smile from the servers and the head of kitchen need to get her head on with the poor quality of taste and presentation.. I say go to other than this place if don't want to get sick due to wht is mentioned above poor quality of foods . read more
