Scroll down for the TLDR version. Stopped by Huntsville for a quick lunch before heading back out to the road. This was one of the rare places around the area that opened at 11 AM on Saturday so that was nice. The place provides the option of indoor dining, patio seating (weather permitting) and is pet friendly. (Some places unfortunately don't allow pets even with a patio so always good to call ahead to check first). The server was nice and attentive and offered my friends dog some water without us asking. The only downside when it came to service was the wait time. When we got a seat it was only us and one other table but we still had to wait quite some time for our food. The food itself was quite yummy. I had a strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken while my friend had their burger with a side of gravy. The ingredients in the strawberry salad was fresh, the nuts were nicely candied and the chicken was juicy. It was refreshing to eat on a hot day and I felt quite satisfied after. In terms of the burger and the ingredients that went into making it, it was simple but once again, the ingredients were fresh and that's what makes a great burger. The gravy was that came on the side with the burger was additional $1.50 but in my option it was well worth it and went amazing with the fries. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again but if I was in a rush I would just order take out. If you're in Huntsville for over 24 hours, you know you will end up here eventually. The service was lovely. The beer choice was slim. The food was well roadhouse/pub food. Beware of deceptive advertising practices. Not only do they have a hidden 3% fee on all orders, they will charge you for each pop even though their menu says free refills. According to the waitress this is a management decision and she could do nothing about it. read more

Went to chuck's Roadhouse on July 14, 2023 after a four hour drive. We were seated immediately and then waited more than 45 mins for a server. We were a party of 6, three adults and 3 children under the age of 7. We placed our order only to be informed there was no onion rings or orange soda. When our order did arrive the chicken "tenders" were like leather and quarter chicken dinner inedible. The French fries tasted like they were fried in oil that has not been changed in years. Not the greatest start to our holiday. We will not return and look forward to sharing our experience with our family and friends. read more

Wow, now that wasn't what I expected! I have visited Chuck's Roadhouse several times in the past. This time we were greeted by a pleasant hostess who seated us quickly. Our waitress, Nikki B, was very matter of fact, mechanical and not at all friendly in taking our order, she eventually brought our drinks but didn't return to bring our order. The young man who did dropped off our order seemed more interested in chatting with his friends at the other table than making sure everything was ok or not, as it was the latter in this case. We had to bring it to his attention, after he just walked away, that we had no utensils or napkins. Nikki never returned to offered to refill our drinks, many of my wings were broken as if they were tortured to death. She did ask how it was once, we replied unenthusiastically, "ok I guess!?!" and she kept walking. She followed up our visit with an enthusiastic, "coffee, tea or dessert?" comment, we had heard her ask every other table around us, in only the way she could, that made you just want to escape as quickly as you could. When I finally saw my freedom from this terrible experience approaching and could pay my bill to earn my freedom from this nightmare, I was told "You've made a mistake!" and her finger pointing to my selected tip amount. My reply "no, that's correct" had her stomping off one last time and I was finally free to leave this nightmare of an experience. I really can't fathom that she actually expected a bigger tip after the ordeal we were put through!?! We would have ordered more drinks if we were ever asked and usually stay for dessert and coffee, but not this time. Maybe never again, I don't know, I don't have to usually leave a poor review ever, as I usually find the service in Huntsville and Muskoka to be most pleasant. Maybe Nikki would be better suited for torturing those poor chickens and not your guests. I won't even touch on the "honest fee" on the bill I have attached. Shame on you Chuck's Roadhouse and Nikki. I got much better service from Crabby Joes when they were here at least they were honest about their service and never charged you extra for it. Such a shame. read more

Placed an order online for a roast beef on a bun with fries. Picked it up and went back to work. Opened the take away tray and was taken back at what was on the bun. Half of the meet was fat, tendon and giant veiney blob. Took it back as there was no way I was eating it. Asked for a manager and asked for a refund. He asked how I paid and said with my debit card and said he couldn't refund a credit card. I told him again that it was my debit card and not a visa and he said still can't refund to a card. Offered me a gift card and I declined it as I told him I wasn't going to be visiting here again. I asked for a cash refund. He went and away and gave me the money back. For $20, how could we pass on the Top Sirloin and Lobster Tail plate? We ordered 2! Both the steak and lobster were a lot smaller than we thought it was going to be. The steak was a bit tough for medium rare. We asked to substitute our baked potatoes with salad. Unfortunately the server did not disclose to us that there was an upcharge for the salads until we got surprised when the bill came. It was $1.99 for substituting the baked potato for a small bowl of caesar salad and $3.99 for a small bowl of Greek salad. Had we been informed, we would not have made the substitutions. We were still hungry when we finished our dinners that we ordered The Big Chuck Burger and split it. At $15.50, it was a bit pricey. read more

Burger and fries for $5. Cheaper than McDonald's and quality is 10x better. On the way back home after visiting the arrowhead provincial park for skating, we stopped here to grab lunch. It was pretty quiet (Saturday lunch time). The gentleman serving us was very kind. The food took some time to come out, but I take that as a good sign - cooking it when the order is placed, not ahead of time. I'd definitely recommend to friends visiting the around the area, looking for a place to grab some quality and cheap meal. read more

Stopped by this nice restaurant during our search for decent food (we refuse to eat fast food while on the road!) while travelling through Huntsville thanks to the Yelp reviews. The ambiance is nice casual. Our server was quite friendly and the food was decent. I was quite surprised at the reasonable prices. Who can complain of $13.99 peppercorn steak with a side of soup! The steak size was a little small but was expected given the price. The peppercorn sauce was not peppery enough for me and I preferred it a little more 'wet' We also shared an order of chicken wings and a burger. Overall a nice experience and will definitely stop by when I'm ever in the area again. read more

Friendly service. Comfortable seating and atmosphere Music volume is fair, I like it not so loud, able to have conversation comfortably yet able to hear the music. Arrived at 5pm for early dinner on Saturday, not crowded, have table immediately. All items on the menu are much cheaper than other restaurants of the same style and quality. I asked for medium rare for a T-bone steak, it was cooked just right, and they were able to cook the outside well with nice grill marks and slight crisp. Their chicken wings are crispy and well cooked. However, I think the honey garlic sauce for the wings will need some improvement. It is a bit too sweet, and I would recommend to put some garlic bits in the honey garlic sauce. :) read more

Honestly, where else can you find a high quality steak meal for $10 - $13 at a restaurant? I'm not even sure how this place manages to profit with such a good value for their steaks! I was here with my friends on a girls' road trip and we happened to find this restaurant on yelp when we were searching for food. Very good choice for us! Super Friendly Service. Great Prices. The location lives up to the chain's slogan: "The way food ought to be, priced the way it used to be." While box restaurants like these are one of my guilty pleasures, I never expect much from them. This Chuck's Roadhouse location, however, was just pretty much good times all around. The waitress was incredibly friendly, even to the point of telling us how we could hack the menu to save a few bucks. The food was fresh and tasty, and served relatively promptly. And our bill came to probably 3/4 of what it would've in any other box restaurant. So if you're in Huntsville and looking for a reliable, reasonably priced steak (along with a few drinks), I'd encourage you to drop in here. read more

We came here for dinner time on a Sunday! We got seats and the place wasn't full. It looked like any other chain restaurant that we've been. We ordered the Rib and Wing Combo, 1lbs of Wings and Caesar Salad. Let me start off by saying that the ribs were okay, i would not order them again and I recommend people to not order them, it tasted generic, dry pork with a glazing of bbq sauce to cover up that it's dry and maybe old. Why 3 stars? We'll.. the redeeming factor here were the wings! I was glad I ordered the rib and wing combo, i was tempted to get the whole rack(was in the mood for ribs), but after tasting the wings that came with the order, it elevated this place to a 1 start to 3 1/2 stars! Or maybe even more If I didn't eat the ribs! The wings were moist, nicely breaded(not too thick or too thin), the sauce tasted good and it wasn't smothered with the chicken. Drink specials are good but could not find anything on the menu I would eat, and when I did, the French onion soup was mediocre at best, but the mac flat bred was inedible. Okay I been to chucks road house down in Leamington ontario visiting family and the service there was terrible swore I would never to back. Until I got to Huntsville Ontario. We said let's give it another try. The service here was a million times better then the Leamington location. The waitress apologized for the wait as they were busy Becuase of a hydro out issue the whole area. She went above and beyond to make our night amazing. I didn't get her name but I'm sure she knows who she is. Stopped by on a Sunday evening, starving and in a rush to get back on the road. This place had terrible service -- took over an hour to get our food. We didn't get water to drink until maybe 20-30 min in. I ordered the T-bone steak, medium rare, with a loaded baked potato (sans ranch), and it came with baked beans. Food was good enough -- steak hit the spot, beans were yummy, and baked potato was a bit dry. The prices are relatively cheap! They add 3% to all dishes though, so remember to account for that when you're looking at the menu prices. read more

Been here a few times. Not bad for burger, but be aware of anything else. My sister and I ordered the flat iron steak, medium rare. Was so over cooked could not eat it. The server didn't seem to care. After seeing our plate not touched and hearing our complaints, she charged us full price. Turned out she was also front of house manager. Great Service from the waitress. Pleasant and attentive. Very prompt. Food was ok this time around . We have had better from this place before after ordering the same meal off the menu. The ribs were slathered with too much barbecue sauce and it appeared to have been put on just prior to serving. The spinach and goat cheese dip was great with liberal quantity of toasted pita bread. Funnel cake dessert was good too. Since I have been at this place twice before with fantastic ribs and chicken wings, I won't reflect on my rating that this time the rib/ wing combo was a miss because of the excess barbecue sauce. Was driving by and saw this place. The value for the quality of food is amazing. Surprised at how cheap a good steak dinner cost. My Fiancé had a buffalo chicken sandwich which was on a baguette with garlic butter and buffalo chicken. The food tasted amazing too! The service was great as well, we never had to wait for anything as the server came by frequently. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area or passing through. Terrible. 2 kids and I order and food all comes together. Great start! His wings were supposed to be easy on the sauce, they weren't. They were cold too. As in cooler than room temperature. My ribs were also too saucy and cold! They weren't very good even if warm. Other Kids chicken fingers were fine. The kicker is that I gave the feedback politely to the waiter about 10 mins later. He says sorry and brings the bill. When I pay (full) I comment that I'm surprised he never had a manager come over. He said "ya, well. We're busy".
