Where to start...well let's start with a positive note. The woman who took our order at the drive-thru was nice. Now on to other things. The first thing I noticed is the outside of the building needs a makeover. The paint is fading which makes the building appear old and since only the drive-thru is open the place looks permanently closed. I ordered the #5 which comes with a chicken sandwich, fries, and drink. I asked for a large okra as well. I asked for extra pickles. Well I did not receive my fries at all and the okra was small and possibly a substitution for the fries. Not what I had wanted. Extra pickles must be foreign to them unless they find the smallest pickles on Earth when a person requests extra. For my soda I asked for light on the ice. Haha. I swear it had more ice than normal. My guy ordered the 3 piece Large Texas (at least I believe that was the name). Well they were out of macaroni. Not really their fault, but disappointing none the less. I also had to ask for an itemized receipt. I paid with a credit card and all I received was the credit card receipt. I should not have had to ask. One big question: Is this owner local? I would suspect not. One might THINK that a local franchisee would be concerned about timeliness of food, making sure the chicken is all the same - as in not half hot tenders, and half was cold (had been sitting a long while, was cold, batter dried out). I appreciate hot food. I do. I understand they won't always have everything cooked up - that's ok. I don't mind waiting. Usually... If a customer orders Iced Tea, fill the cups before handing them over - don't wait for your customer to wait ten minutes staring at the tea container they can't access from the work counter. That's not okay. Try training counter people with this: "I know you'd like tenders, and we're we're just putting in a fresh batch so they'll be hot. That will take us about 15 minutes - is that okay, or are you in a hurry, would you prefer whole pieces of chicken we just took out?" Communication. Vital to any business. I waited with two other groups of women. One party was a local business family. We all four watched the employees. One looked like the manager and was trying her best to run the BUSY window, and finally helped me get to the tea, one was battering and cooking chicken. One tried to run the counter, didn't seem to know how to ring up 5-10 tenders on their own (I didn't want another whole meal)... $22 for a box of tenders - whew. But I didn't want to wait for her to figure out a smaller tender only box option. The other young man was on the green beans, not sure what else he was doing. I understand entry level jibs. Training. Every you g person needs a chance. But have someone there teaching them how to move at anything other than a snails pace. Not fair to the worker who was trying to hold on and keep things moving. And what is this bland breading that's 'off' in every way? Fresh tenders were good. Old ones I gave to the dogs. Chicken pieces were not good. At all. Sorry. It says something when three customers all comment to one another "Hire us to bring your business back in line." BTW - I am a good pro-Yelper. This is not a scathing report, it's a warning to the owner that you could increase revenue by 25% in three months. One month to straighten things out. Two months to advertise under new management and convince people to come back for a new outcome. In one year you could be up 35% in sales. You could afford to pay a better wage and hire faster workers. And then you can build from there. Give back to your community even more. That would be a win:win. This one is kind of hard to rate. On the one hand it takes a long time for you to get your food. However the reason for that is because they make it fresh when you order it. Everything I've gotten from here has been pretty good. I'd rate it 3.5 stars. The reasons are one, as I said it does take a while to get your order. Now since the food is fresh I can overlook that. However the second reason I am not giving it a higher rating it the price. Unless you have coupons it's very expensive. Especially for fast food. Since it's the only fast food chicken place in town your options are limited. You could always go to Fry's for their fried chicken. Omg... I've always loved church's chicken...so when we saw one in globe I couldn't wait to stop in.... I purchased fried chicken on October 9, 2021 and this was the worse fried chicken that I have ever eaten. The crust was thick and crumbly and was way overcooked. Paying over 30 dollars for this meal was the biggest mistake I have ever made in purchasing fried chicken! It was really nasty and I think the total meat we took out of this amounted to meat that normally would come out of 3 pieces of chicken. Number one when I walked in I noticed the buildup on the floor where people do not walk, and I thought to myself this place needs a good power washing. I got the food and sat down. First thing I did was Kill the huge daddy size Roach on the floor. The lady that work there wondered what I was doing and I said to her , killing the roach. She came out and proceeded to sweep the whole place, which was nice of her. The butter and garlic shrimp were very small and very commercial. The jalapeno poppers we're very small but they did taste good. They could have went and got the shrimp from a local store , at least it would have had a crunchy tail on it, which these did not have, so I wondered if they were really shrimp or minced up shrimp meat. When I walked into the restaurant. I found the floor and table are dirty. When I ordered something, they don't accommodate you or neither give what you want. An employee refused to change thing around for us. I also notices that they used the same gloves for cooking and cleaning. Their supervisor doesn't know what he doing because the employees doing the same thing and found out it was taking long time to get our order.
