Cute little place that is much more than burgers and fries. Most of got just that and missed the two other menus with Asian rice bowls and Mediterranean dishes. I went with the Arizona Cheesesteak where Hatch chiles liven up the sandwich. It was a monster. The shoestring fries were a little dry oddly. It is right across from the school so be prepared for a big lunchtime rush of kids. I don't know if I will ever be back in Globe but I would return to try the other menus.

I had the vegan Beyond burger with added avocado and it was prepared perfectly! It was big, but I ate the whole thing because it was delicious. The shoestring fries were just ok. Cute little patio and fast service even though they were very busy.

The whole place is decorated with cool, nerdy stuff. The warp pipe was the best in my opinion. We sat outside on the patio/porch area and were greeted by such a friendly server. I got a cheeseburger with shoestring fries and my husband got the Raising Arizona. We wanted to try the peanut butter shake, but they were sold out The burgers were both delicious. They were fresh and hot without a bunch of fancy. The fries were crisp and tasty. Everything was perfect. Portions are very generous, I couldn't finish!! Best hidden gem in Globe. See you next time as we FOR SURE will be back.

They're super nice, and every time I come to town, I keep giving them more chances. But the burgers are way too meaty, way too wet, and the bun is just mush. And fries taste like they came out of a freezer bag. I really want to like it. But so far not great, ever.

This is our go-to spot for food anytime we drive through Globe. The burgers are fresh and incredibly flavorful and the fries are exactly what you want to add to the meal. The outdoor patio has an eclectic mesh of Mario and Star Wars (search for some hidden gems hiding in the rafters)! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food does take longer than fast food, but it is well worth the wait!

What I love about Yelp! is the ability to connect others with great, little local places! We were driving through Globe on the way home from Lake Roosevelt and needed a bite to eat. We looked up "burgers" and we were so glad it lead us to Nurd Berger! We had excellent service. We loved the small, community feel of the diner inside. Our food was great! I had the Marston burger which had jalapeños, an onion ring, bacon, cheese and bbq sauce and it was really tasty. My only tweak I could have asked for was the burgers were cooked to "doneness" and I prefer medium, but that to be said that it was juicy! My onion rings were cooked perfectly and hot and fresh. Worth the stop in!

What a hole in the wall. The food was fantastic, and the environment is unique. The servers were humble and accommodating. Truly a diamond of a spot!

This is a favorite Road Trip stop for our family. Love the diverse menu and all the nostalgia/memorabilia decor. It's like if comic con had its own small diner.. I got a Greek chicken wrap and my family all enjoyed different burgers, fries, and shakes and no complaints here on the food or service.

    Caramel shake, it was awesome

This was a really great burger. If you're ever in Globe, Arizona, there are a lot of good places to eat, and this is one of them.

That was nice. It's the little things that make customers feel appreciated! They have two salsas, red habanero and green tomatillo type, which was my favorite. The guacamole was actually guac - not full of sour cream like other restaurants use to increase the product. The girl working in the restaurant had such a JOYFUL presence and was in a great mood, a little giggly, with the cutest laugh. She even helped a little boy and his mom with a toy/quarter machine. The little boy skipped his way out, he was so happy! This crew must enjoy what they're doing! Guys cooking in the back were fast! She recognized customers as they came in and was kind to everyone, wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving! The food was EXACTLY what I was looking for... hot, fresh, seasoned nicely and very filling. The Burro meat was deliciously juicy, rice - savory, beans - authentic! Enchilada sauce was full of flavor, but not spicy. Loved it! This place played nice calming music, not too loud and the tile work in the entire place was beautiful! There's plenty of table space including high tops. Bathroom smelled like it had just been cleaned, everything was so tidy! I'll be back again to try the carne Asada!

Ive been on Yelp since 2006 (close…read moreto 20 years and well before Google maps or reviews ever existed) and without it, I would have missed out on a lot of cool and neat places like this! Thanks Yelp for helping me find 20 years of good eats, drink and fun! La Luz Del Dia means "the light of the day" in Spanish and boy is this place bright and cheery and the perfect start to a glorious and beautiful Sunday morning. You know this place is gonna be good because as I drove down the deserted road nary a car through downtown Globe and arrive at this place, you see a bunch of cars parked huddled near this place. I knew it wws gonna be good. I walk into this unassuming place and almost every table is taken at close to 9am on Sunday. There were a few seats at the counter facing the open kitchen so I made a beeline to sit down. Wait staff and customers in here are so nice and friendly! The cute girls working here are fast and efficient, and super sweet and all with a smile. I was pretty hungry as I hadn't eaten since Friday breakfast and was ready to gobble up a good breakfast. I had a chorizo burro (same as a burrito, still trying to figure out the difference) and a cup of coffee. Coffee was ok, and did the job. But, the burro was great! Southwest breakfast burritos are some of the best, and when you're in the Southwest, definitely don't pass this up to have. This burro was also huge and despite the fact I was famished, I could only eat a half of my burro. You can get red or green salsa, but since I am a spice pansy, I opted for the red, which was still more spicy than I can handle. By 9:20am, I was finished eating and ready to go. You go up to the cashier and pay there. There's a desert and drinks case by the register and lots of goodies there to choose from too. There was baklava, organized cake and brownies on offer. I also spied a chamoy pickle for sale too, here in the Southwest when the summers get so hot, having a pickle is sometimes in order to replace the salt we lose sweating so much! Overall, I loved this place! Loved the atmosphere as its kind of an old school diner, and everyone in here was a delight and the food was delicious! I'll be back again when coming thru Globe again! And you should definitely check this place out when passing thru Globe!

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Judy's CookHouse 2280 E Hwy 60 Globe, AZ 85501 Companion and I were exploring mining towns and came across this restaurant. We stopped for lunch. On entering we found a thoroughly modern fast food restaurant. We were seated immediately and offered menus and drinks. Quick inspection revealed a quiet, clean place with waitresses ready to be of service. The menu was 3 pages long and had lots of favorites on it. It was nice to see a fair number of senior items listed. Companion ordered the bacon burger done medium. It was cooked perfectly and appeared to be homemade and about a third of a pound. It was graced with nicely cooked bacon strips, american cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion and BBQ sauce. It came with a nice side of creamy cole slaw. For myself, I ordered the green chile burger done rare. Unlike many other places they will cook the burger the way you like it and mine was cooked to perfection. Again, a nice big patty with jack cheese melting over it along with lettuce and tomato and a large green chile draped over it. This was one of the very best burgers I have ever been served. It was dripping down my hands and arms, but that is why there are sinks in bathrooms. An outstanding burger served with perfectly cooked onion rings and an extra side of cole slaw that I ordered. There were huge sweet rolls that were just put out on the counter, but I didn't have the room to eat one, and companion couldn't even finish the burger that was ordered. If I am ever back in that area again you can be sure I will stop there and order the same burger again. Service was fast and sanitation was excellent and spotlessly clean. My only regret is that we don't have any place even close to this in the Phoenix area. An outstanding lunch. 5 stars

This patty protruded well beyond the brioche bun and, better yet, it was hand crafted, not pulled out of a box of 300 other patties that were shaped exactly the same. And the beef was flavorful. We both enjoyed the fries and onion rings. Our meal was so filling we didn't eat dinner that night. Oh, the staff are super friendly, attentive and downright welcoming. So this time, we split the zesty orange chicken and a Philly roll between us for the perfect amount of food for the both of us. The food was delicious too. The orange chicken had the very essential and yummy flavor of an orange! And anything that can get me to eat more veggies (such as this dish) is a win to me. If I had any complaints, I would've wanted more chicken in the dish, since it was made up of mostly noodles. The sushi was good! Maybe not "knock-your-socks-off" good, but we did just go with the basic Philly roll instead of something more exciting. Their menu had some really interesting sounding sushi rolls. I will say though, that the Philly roll was very pretty! Otherwise, our waitress was great and checked up on us. Our food was out pretty fast, and for Globe, I would definitely consider this more of an upscale/still casual place for a date. We'll be back to get more fancy Asian fusion food.

We haven't been here in years due to the last time we visited we had a very negative experience. Today was a little better, but not by much. My 6yo and I ordered 3 rolls(california, rainbow and caterpillar) and an appetizer(coconut tempura shrimp). We received 2 rolls before our appetizer, which to me was weird. They all came with wasabi and ginger, and I asked our waitress Loren if I could have some ginger without wasabi as I am mildly allergic. She said no because they use the same hand to serve both so the wasabi is in the ginger. I thought 'that sucks, cross contamination'. When the final roll(caterpillar) came out it had 3 sauces on it; unagi sauce, spicy Mayo and Siracha. I asked her when she came by again if it was supposed to have the spicy ones, she said 'oh yes, the caterpillar comes with all 3'. I had ordered it for my 6yo to eat, the menu has none of the spicy sauces listed in the description, just the unagi sauce. So, buyer beware, not all sauces are listed on the menu and if you have an allergy you might want to eat elsewhere because if there is one cross contamination, there are bound to be others.
