There was plenty of seating, both inside and out. Our server was super personable and made for a great experience before we ever got to the food part of the night. The drinks were excellent. We made the end of Happy Hour so we grabbed a beer and an Old Fashioned. The Old Fashioned was their Maple Espresso and was out of the world. Came up to Strawberry to beat the heat in Phoenix! The weather was simply amazing here and we decided to stop and have pizza! The service was great. The food was good and so were the prices! We came here for dinner, and despite the chilly evening, stayed warm outside due to the fireplace and heaters in their wrapped-in patio. I wish I had better pics but these were half devoured by the time I even sat down to eat. We got takeout and the line was crazy long but honestly so worth it. We went to the Phoenix pizza festival and this pizza place was hands down better than every single pizza we've ever eaten at that pizza festival AND every place we've ever eaten in the Phoenix area period. We came to the Old County Inn for lunch on a Thursday just after they opened for the day while visiting friends in the Payson area. We dined in the covered patio area, there were 6 of us in our party so it provided a perfect atmosphere for conversation. We started with beverages & buffalo chips (they were way too salty so a couple of us ended up brushing them off to help remove the salt) they were just ok but we were reassured that they were way better than our experience. We also enjoyed the Green Chili Beer Cheese with breadsticks, this was tasty. Hubby has severe dairy allergies so he ordered a plain pepperoni without cheese, he said it was really good & truly enjoyed it. The rest of us shared a meat pizza & the spinach, artichoke & chicken pizza. Both were hot & delicious, with the crust being perfect for wood fired pizza. I enjoyed a lavender lemon drop that my friend recommended & it was delicious! The perfect summertime drink! Sorry no photos I didn't think about it until we were almost done eating but trust me it looked & tasted delicious. First time here, and probably our last. It's 7:37, and we still haven't gotten the pizza. Waitress did just come by to tell us it would be ANOTHER 20 minutes. Ouch. This place has great energy! I came at dusk and was fortunate enough to have a view of the sunset on one side and wandering elk on the other. Started with the stuffed portobellos which were amazing if you're into that kind of thing. Paired it with the white pizza which was baked to perfection. We ended it with the lemon shortbread cookie which came with raspberry sorbet. We were told this was the best pizza in AZ and it's good but not the best! We came for hike in pine and had to stop by. They were slammed at 1:30pm on a Wednesday. The lefty with the bbq was really good but the pepperoni, was thin and needed a little more sauce. It is wood fire. The red head lady at the bar is a boss and was taking care of everyone inside. All the servers seem to serve the whole restaurant. A couple servers were pretty rude but I understand the rush. Stopped in after seeing this spot all over Instagram and it was well worth the hype! We came not too long after it opened and the tables were already full with a line to be seated! I think that's a testament to the quality of the food. All of the pizzas were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The Caesar salad was notable too-- with just the right amount of tangy flavor. This is always a stop for us whenever we're in Pine or Strawberry. The food is always good. The service is excellent and I always have a good time. It is worth the wait if there's a line. There's also a small bar , The Tap Room, in the back by the outdoor area where you can get some drinks while hanging out. The pizza is well-known as some of the best in Arizona. I've liked all of them, but I particularly remember liking the white pizza and most recently got the Poncho, which had amazing flavor with a little spice. My favorite starters are the wings and the green chile beer cheese. So good! I was really surprised how good the wings were because I mostly only hear about their pizza. The Caesar salad was also ok, but I'm not really a fan of the huge piece anchovy they put on top. I just prefer it ground in with dressing. Everything else has been outstanding every time. read more

The food is still amazing and the staff is as friendly as ever, but something has definitely changed in the kitchen. ​I'm happy to wait 90 minutes for a table if that's what I'm told--I don't hold the restaurant responsible for the crowd. However, once seated, the service has hit a wall. In 4 of my last 6 visits, we've waited over an hour just for the pizza to arrive. This never used to be an issue, even on busy weekends. Pizzas... meh . lacking sauce, flavors are ok but not worth the price. wings... we love or hate them because every single time they are different! today, undercooked and NO sauce (not buffalo sauce) last time, had a good sauce and were cooked thru. commented to staff and they said "we always put this sauce on them" well then why the heck have we NOT had the spicy/sweet sauce?!?! consistently??? this time? no sauce. we only go during slow times because they are rude when busy. mushroom with cheese appetizer - yuk . you shouldn't have to CUT hot cheese. sorry guys...just aren't worth the hype or price read more

We LOVED Old County Inn! We are up north on a girls trip and came here for dinner. We had drinks in the back bar which was so fun! The singer on Friday night was really good and funny! The back patio has yard games and plenty of space with heaters! We played cornhole! Our server Taylor was great, he made sure two people in our group had their dietary needs met. This is my favorite reason to take a trip to Pine. We live in PHX but when we want the best pizza in AZ- we road trip to Pine for theirs. Not only do they have the best pizza- they have all kinds of beer on tap, a great ambiance and such friendly service. Truly can't get enough of this place.
