Crossed San Ysidro border and wanted to get something quick to eat before going to a hotel. This is one of the only places open and it's a window that you order at most of the food is pretty much ready just staying warm. Which was great because we were in a Uber. Friendly staff got three piece chicken combo with a drink comes with mashed potatoes and biscuit. Everything was very good. I have never written a bad review before but I am honestly disgusted by the way she treated me while ordering. After I had ordered I got up to ask her if it was a possibility to add some spicy chicken along with the regular one and then she proceeded to roll her eyes while she threw the checking back into where it goes, her vibes from the beginning weren't the best and I honestly felt uncomfortable the whole time while I was there. My first time trying Church's Chicken. There wasn't one in the area that I grew up in. When I saw Church's Chicken the other day, I made it a point to stop by to try them out. There's no drive-thru even though it's a fast food. Although, there's no dine-in at the moment due to COVID, so I got my food for takeout. I ordered a 2-piece combo with an upgrade to mac & cheese. 1 star due to sanitation. The place looked really dirty and neglected. On top of that, an employee walks out of the bathroom and into the kitchen that everyone can view, and "adjusts" himself and continues to zip up his pants... Gross, I lost my appetite. I would have cancelled my order but the employee already packed everything for me. I had a bite and honestly, it was ok. I think it tastes better than Popeyes, although they forgot to give me dipping sauce. I was still grossed out by the place so I ended up giving the rest of my food to my friend LOL. 0 stars Bad customer service. Does the city have a pallor of misery hanging over it? Then the people in this place are also in misery times ten. Next time I spend three hours at the border crossing I will skip this place and go to National City when nature calls and hunger and thirst make demands. Very unwelcoming place when I ordered a large drink and I see the cup placed on the fountain then wait for the manager to get back to filling it. It took so long a crowd came in and the girl told me to get in line! I told her I was waiting for my drink and pointed at the lonely cup on the fountain. And I did not get my change back. Feels like race discrimination to me. Does the corporate office pay any attention to these complaints? Then shame on them and their inflated stock valuation. The cashier's name was Sol. She doesn't listen. I asked for popcorn chicken which comes with a side, a biscuit and a drink. It's 5.49 Sol then stops me to tell me that I could get the 8 piece shrimp with a side and a biscuit for 4.49 and add a dollar for a drink and it'll be cheaper.... Sol it's the same price!!! She looked so confused when I told her. Next in my order is the boneless wings, no issues there. Until I asked for sauces. SOL didn't know how much they were. She kept looking up at the menu. Finally a rude woman with no name badge replied $.55... They're actually $.50 but she didn't know how to charge me or some thing... She looked confused when I handed her a $20 So I just said nvm. I asked for another shrimp order. I didn't get biscuits. She took super long. When she repeated my order it was wrong TWICE! She ended up giving us French fries for free and the ranch because she didn't know how to charge it. If Sol looks back at the menu one more time she's probably gonna break her neck! read more

I'd leave zero stars if I could. Where do I start; well it took ten minutes of waiting before the women on the intercom was even able to take my order. There was one person ahead of us. We waited another 15 minutes at the window before even being able to pay in which then the rude cashier told us they were out of mac and cheese so I said ok coleslaw is fine and she says oh we are almost out of that too.... um ok. So double mashed potatoes it is then I guess. Then I asked her for her sauce and she acts like it's a big inconvenience and gives me two, two for a 24 piece meal. Really? Then we get home and realize she forgot the fries. Biscuits were burnt and the chicken was cold. I mean come on! This place needs some serious attention and better employees!!! This is by far the worst fast food restaurant I ever been too. The service was horrible on November 9th 2014 at 6:05 pm. I had stood In line for approximately 20 minutes with my children. As soon as I had reached the front of the line I was asked in Spanish what I wanted, first of all we are in America so workers should always begin speaking in English. Next I had told the young girl what I wanted and she turned and spoke to the other employees in Spanish. She then without completing my order walks away. So I am left standing there without anyone helping me. Then there is another employee who walks up to the cash register that I was standing in front of and does not acknowledge me at all. Instead she giraffe necks around me and ask the person behind me what he wants. So I'm thinking that the other girl is coming back but nope boi was I wrong. This employee finishes placing the order for that guy and just a reminder I'm still standing in front of her. She does it again and takes the costumer standing behind me and places their order. I'm just wanting to go off on these little girls. But instead I take my kids and leave, because I can't do that kind of stuff in front of my kids. These employees are definantly a disgrace to their own race. The manager really needs to be fired. This is why employees that work in a fast food restaurant only receive the lowest pay possible because they are lazy workers. They will never have the potential to get paid over minimum wage. read more
