Best experience I've had in the 13 years I've moved around Cali looking for haircuts. Anna, is now my go to at Chute 9. She is warm and welcoming and took her time making sure to ask several times if I was OK, happy, wanted anything done differently, etc. Everyone else in Cali acts like they know better, and they dont care what the client wants. Or, they can't do what you want and there-fore do what THEY want/can. Anna, is a gem and a delight. This young chick will go far in life if she keeps that wonderful, caring and welcoming personality. Not to say, also the talent of being capable of giving you what you ask for. I had a boring long flat cut. I wanted crazy rocker layers all over to bring my thin hair to life. A couple months ago, I paid $75 at a different near by place in Eastvale. The girl did nothing! I also just didnt like her attitude and that she had me waiting 45 minutes before my appointment, without saying a word to me. Seems to have been my constant experience since I've moved to Cali. OKAY!!! I won't be able to thank Lily enough for fixing my hair! Got it done somewhere the previous week and it turned out to be my worse hair experience! I messaged Lily on Christmas day (yep, Christmas day, that's how desperate I was) to inquire. She answered right away, booked me for the following day and patiently answered all my questions. Day of service - Salon's really nice and clean by the way. Lily explained to me the process of what she's doing as we go and was very honest from the very beginning on what we can realistically achieve. Overall it took 3 hours, I never feel like she rushed it, actually it was the opposite. We were almost done but she spotted a spot where it's uneven and patiently fixed it. She made sure that I'm walking out of the salon satisfied. She could have really not mention that uneven spot since I didn't notice it but nope! Wow, this place is definitely worthy of its 5 star status!!! I've been scared to let anyone cut my hair since my hairdresser left the state 3 years ago and I've been trimming it myself since. My hair grows really slow, so a bad cut would be a nightmare. Shelley gave me exactly what I asked for and it looks amazing! She evened it up without cutting too much of the length. Shelly Rogers is honest, down to earth/easy to chat with (because that's a must when you're sitting in a stylist chair for any period of time) and most importantly, she is very experienced and knowledgeable. She knows her stuff and it's clear she continues her education with courses to keep up with industry trends and new techniques. She's honest and helps with ideas if you want a change but are not quite sure what that style change/color is! The salon itself is set back in a quiet space. It's relaxed, cozy, and very spacious. Even if others are in the salon, you don't feel like you're sitting on top of one another at all. There is an adorable, comfortable sitting area with access to drinks of all kinds, snacks and sweets. Update... Recently, I came back here for a touch up on my color, and I have nothing but GOOD things to say! Katherine was the one who did my hair this time and she did a amazing job. Im beyond happy with how it turned out. She's really kind and so friendly. She also told me about a shampoo that will help keep the purple on my hair longer. I got the shampoo, from Ulta Beauty, that was recommended and it works great! So thank you so much for that tip! ...This place is nice and well kept. It did kind of confuse me when, on the phone, I was told about their "new location" but was sent to the one I already had from my last visit. They say their "new location" still just incase you maybe a returning customers that doesn't know about it yet. So the big red barn is their new location. I went there to get a perm. The person who did the perm half way through decided to tell me that she doesn't take credit cards. During our texting before my appt. She never mentioned that she only accepts some type of pymt app that i never heard of. Well about 1-1/2 hrs later, I paid her $200 + 20% tip. Was it worth it? NO. Did the perm turn out? I would say 75%. The top is flat and I'm not going back. To the owner's I would say that they need to tell their hairdressers to be upfront to their clients about how they accept payment. read more

This place is a gem! I went here for the first time on 5/31. I had purchase this amazing deal they were doing. I ended up getting the deal for my mom for Mothers day and i purchased one for myself so it could be like a mother-daughter type of thing. The package came with a hair cut and a facial. They both did a great job. I don't like to cut to much of my hair because i like it long and usually the places I got to argue with me to cut more. Obviously i know I need it but I don't want to. She didn't question me at all and did exactly as i wanted! The facial was one of the best I've had. The room was so nice and relaxing I could of fell asleep! All and all it ended up being a great day for my mom and I. She loved every minute of it! She loved the decor and home like feeling to the place. She said she felt like she was at the salon from the movie "Steel Magnolias". haha we love that movie BTW They were also very accommodating due to the fact that my mom lives about an hour away and the package we received is for two visits.
