Maria (the owner) has nothing but the best stylist working along side her. The shop is pretty big, very clean, super friendly environment. Every stylist manages their own schedule, so I always contact my stylist to book an appt ahead, DO not expect same day appts., u might hv to wait but trust me it's worth it. I have never left Lush Salon unsatisfied. My color and cuts are always perfect!! My color usually will last me 6months looking great.. but I've also been known to stretch my balayage to a full year, and still receiving a ton of compliments. If you are trying to get a same day appointment, you'll be out of luck for sure! Learned the hard way that you will have to call and wait at least a week to get an appointment. I was lucky and got referred to Lupe for a color appointment. Most of the hair designers/colorists here are their own stylists, so it's easiest to make an appointment directly. The salon is fairly large with at least 4-5 different stylists working at the same time. Overall, it's a clean salon. The washing area is tucked away in the back. It's been about 5 weeks and my color has lasted so far. Pricing for an all-over color was pretty comparable to places in OC. Will be back for a retouch in a few weeks. read more

I'm blonde with very thick hair and have had my fair share of bleach bleeds, "stripey cheetah" mess ups, and five hours in the chair for an all-around foil. I got my hair done yesterday with Lupe after having gone literally months since my last color and cut. This was the first time at Lush and with Lupe and she did a fantastic job on my hair. Long review but bear with me. So I wanted to get my hair done for a wedding. Cut, style, dye. They finally had time the morning of the wedding and I was texting the night before with Daisy(who did me hair). I told her I what I wanted and sent a pic and told her I want the color as close as possible.(1st pic)Length was about the same as photo. She says because my hair is dark(2nd pic) that she would need to bleach it. I know nothing about dying hair, so I said ok. I arrive an hour or 2 before the actual store opens and she gets to work. Once her coworkers arrive, things start to go downhill. My hair is already bleaching, my head is starting to burn and she was no where to be found. She comes back takes the bleach out and starts telling me she's putting the color in while ALREADY applying the it to my hair. I didn't see the color and didn't have the time to ask to see it. She stops listening to what I have to say. My hair is way rougher to the feel and the color was way off. I was there from 7 am- 11:30am. I spent about 2 hours with bleach in my hair. My scalp had scabs all over it. I told her I was not happy at all and I was only in town till the wedding so I told her I didn't have time for her to fix it, plus I'm pretty sure I would have no more hair LEFT if she tried. Last pic is the final product. Do not get Daisy as your stylist. She's inexperienced and easily distracted. I complained for 2 days to anyone who would listen. I was pissed. I paid for the job and only the job(because I didn't hate the color) and told her I was being extremely generous and won't be coming back. read more
