We found this wonderful restaurant on New Year's Eve. We didn't have reservations. Despite it being full - they were very gracious and accommodated us with a table for two. The owner was lovely and stopped by to check on us and thank us for dining with them. As a matter of fact - everyone who worked there was so nice to us!!! My husband and I left so happy. The food was awesome - but the staff was even better! We live in Toronto so we aren't in Windsor very often - but when we're in town this will definitely be our place to dine!!!! read more

We were able to snag a table here on valentines weekend while in Windsor for a girls night out. It's located on a chic street and the ambience inside was delightful. We started with the bruschetta and risotto and they were both excellent. We never could figure out what the "sauce" that came with their house bread was, but we were split on whether we liked it or not. I think all 4 of us ordered off the "create your own pasta" menu and we were all very pleased. I personally got the fettuccini with blush sauce, with cheese and broccoli. My friend ordered a house salad with hers and she was surprised it was basically tomatoes/peppers/cucumbers, no lettuce. Strange but still yummy. The service was spot on and if you get a chance to stop in, I definitely recommend it. read more

First, the "build your own pasta" feature was an intriguing and a cool idea. However, such a rip-off, price-wise and taste-wise. We had a party of 5, and one guest ordered an appetizer because they had to leave earlier. Three of us ordered the pasta bar option, and one ordered a pre-made combination meal. We arrived at 7:45, and our meals came at 9:20. You receive bruschetta-style bread at your table to start. Great... but it came 20 minutes after we ordered. The appetizer for our one party member came 35 minutes after ordering. Our food came over an hour after we initially ordered. The wait staff, while friendly, did not check up on us once during this hour-plus wait. We had no apologies for the wait time, nor did we have any extra bread on the table given to us. There were customers who came after us that received their meal first. When I go to a restaurant (it wasn't busy), I don't expect to wait over an hour for an order. If I do, I expect the staff to accommodate the wait (at the very least an apology, free appetizer, free dessert, percentage off, etc). I am not the type of person to mention to staff vocally that I was displeased about the wait time, or that I was upset that we weren't apologized to, or upset that no one offered us anything for our long wait or checked on us to let us know the food was coming.... It really should be the customer service of a restaurant to do these things in the first place. When my food did come, it was only mediocre. The pasta was much too al dente. I ordered tofu as my protein, and it was crumbly and not what I would anticipate in a pasta (expected firm pieces that were seasoned and well-prepared with flavour). Overall, this place is not worth the price for what you get, nor the wait. It is nothing special. I could literally make this pasta at home and it would take me less time. read more

Elegant, beautiful and inviting ambience. We started off with Bruschetta, Mushroom truffle soup followed by pasta. Soup was a great hit for everybody. Waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right combination while making our own pastas. Little on the expensive side but definitely worth it for memorable occasions. read more

It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. Nice decor, great staff. We ordered salad, bruchetta, pasta, and drinks. For the good: my drink was amazing. I ordered some fruity cocktail and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered Coke and was impressed that it came in a glass coke bottle. My caesar salad had a strange taste. I'm assuming that they make their own dressing, but something didn't taste right to me. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it didn't taste like a caesar salad. Bread stick were good. Bruchetta was ok but I would not order it again. I do not like warm tomatoes on brochette, I prefer it to be cold. My boyfriend had lasagna, he liked it, but does not think he would buy it again. I created my own pasta. I liked it, but did not love it. I can't blame the chef, because I decided what went in it. Will not go back for a date night, but might try it again with some girlfriends and see what they have to say. read more

Great addition to Erie street. They have a build your own pasta concept, which sounds kind of fast foodie, but it really isn't and works well. Quality and portions are great and pricing is fair. Would go back in the future. read more

The place has a nice interior, but that's about it. The waitresses are inexperienced, the place is very loud. We had to yell are each other. The food was not good but pricey. My wife had spaghetti bolognese and she loves pasta, but didn't even finish. I had salad with salmon. The salad wasn't fresh and the salmon was breaded, though the menu didn't say that. Overall the food was rather bland. Two meals, one bruschetta, $40.- no drinks. They try hard and have a fun concept, but they fail at the basics. read more

By far my most fav Italian restaurant in Windsor. We ordered the Bruschetta, and had Osso Buco. We also got to build our own pasta, which was gnocchi with eggplants, mushrooms and prosciutto. The pasta was super fresh, and you could tell from the cut that it was made in the restaurant. read more

Incredible food, great atmosphere and amazing staff! I was blown away at my first visit to this restaurant. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful and my water glass was never empty. The homemade pastas and sauces definitely make this restaurant a cut above the rest. The "create your own" combinations are endless and include vegetarian and gluten free options. The portions are perfect and although the food may seem pricey, its worth every penny! I had the "full" portion of the sweet potato gnocchi in a blush sauce with a side of Osso Bucco. The gnocchi was absolutely amazing and the portion size was perfect. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had and coming from an Italian, you know I mean business haha! The Osso Bucco was large enough to share with someone and was well worth the $8 add-on cost! I also had a chance to taste the meatballs and was very impressed! Extremely lean and the size of baseballs, these will not dissapoint! If you have room after dinner, they also have an impressive and very affordable dessert menu ranging from $3-$7 per item. read more

When I visited this place again after a great first experience, and had an encounter with the chef/owner, I was truly disappointed how unwelcoming and condescending she is. What a true disappointment. Still great good (hence the 2 starts), but the experience is ruined after dealing with the owner. read more

Ciao has a unique atmosphere and some of the best Italian I've eaten in a while. Their lasagna is to die for because of the béchamel cheese they use and they have the glass Coca-Cola bottles you don't see as much anymore. Plus being able to create your own pasta is also a great opportunity. The service is spectacular and the waiters are all so friendly and inviting. If you come to Windsor, try the food here, you won't be disappointed. read more
