B) They collect "Gym Improvement Fees" and yet have made zero improvements since I've been here. There is probably still a hole in the matt below the squat rack to this date. C) They intentionally make it IMPOSSIBLE to leave your membership. I provided proof that I had moved more than 50 miles away from a gym. They made me turn in a copy of a lease. Yet, they STILL wanted to charge me for the next month, PLUS cancellation fee. An extra $80 to leave a gym I don't even have access to. Not to mention, their sly "bi-weekly" language charged me 3 times in December. Gyms like this one are the reason FTC laws had to be put in place for fair and easy options to leave gyms. Please protect your mental sanity and avoid this gym!

They are opening a location walking distance from and I wanted to try them out before the location…read morenear me opens. They offer 1 free class to try them out. So I used that free class here. I arrived 30 minutes early so i could fill out the paperwork and get a introduction on what to expect. Matt the trainer showed me the 3 stations, rowing, treadmill and weights, and explained each one to me. He put me on station 12 so he'd be able to help me easier during my first workout. Matt is a great trainer and was very helpful and encouraging. Since it was my first workout he reminded me throughout that I could modify the exercises to my capability. The hour went by so fast the workout for the day was focused on power so the circuit was rowing, treadmill, weights, rowing, treadmill weights, rowing, treadmill and finished with stretching. In the one hour workout I burned 922 calories. I was very happy with that. Everyday is a different workout. You don't even know the area of focus for that date until right before call. When you book a class all you see is the time and the trainers name. On Friday I was called to see how I enjoyed the class. I enjoyed it so very much that I did not want to wait until September when the Alamo Heights location opens. So I was assisted in signing up for a temporary membership at this location until my discounted new location discount kicks in when it opens. I had some issue with the app and I was called back very quickly and the issue resolved just as fast. Everyone I've dealt with has been fantastic. Customer service is most definitely part of this businesses DNA. I will and have recommended them to others.

While working out we had this creepy old man just stare the whole time. He was sitting at the tables right in front of work out machines. Not sure if he was medicated or what but made my 13 year old uncomfortable. We moved to the other side where the weights are for a few minutes but I can still tell it was bothering her so we left. Only went ONE day and never came back. It took me days trying to locate where to cancel membership online only to finally call days before months over for them to tell me I have to go in person to do it. Finally got the chance to go after being busy at work and it's the end of the month and they tell me it takes 30 days to cancel mind you I didn't even have a full month of membership to cancel. I sign the paperwork and turn in my membership keycards. Mind you didn't realize I could still use them for another month until when Racheal from the local YMCA reaches out with wanting more information on why my child felt uncomfortable. Explained the situation of what happened. She informed me someone was going to reach out to me and nothing. I "should" have access for this month to go but why would I return to a place my child felt uncomfortable!!

However, in early 2020 (before COVID) when I visited CF Cibolo, they were absolutely beyond friendly. Every time I showed up for class, several members would remember my name, engage me in conversation, and genuinely made me feel super welcome... not just coaches or the owner... the MEMBERS! In fact, they made such an impression on me, I not only joined but began coaching there myself. Now, three years later, We have grown in membership but that feeling of community is as strong as ever! Dont' get me wrong, we like to work hard and get our sweat on... but owners misson statement could not be more reflective of the realty... Community first; fitness second!

Best box I have ever been to!…read more As I sit and reflect on yet another military PCS, I feel waves of happiness and sadness washing over me all at the same time. While San Antonio has been good to us this past year, the one thing I will definitely miss most is this community. I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of such an amazing CrossFit family. I have met so many beautiful souls at The Shop and am grateful to have made some life long friendships.
