When the attorney immediately jumped to "how are we going to get these assets?" I tried to get clarification and mentioned my history of childhood sex abuse. He showed zero interest in my story as a survivor, the damage it caused, or answering any of my questions. He made me feel unheard and unsupported. I'm not sure why he called me in the first place. The attorney was dismissive and talked over me from the start. Within the first few minutes I told him this was not a good fit and he just dragged out a long, indifferent 'yeaaaaah'. I work with refugees and know what real trauma-informed care looks like. This was the opposite. I've done a lot of these intakes. This firm is amateurish when it comes to trauma-informed care. Would not recommend this firm for sensitive survivor cases. Look elsewhere if you need actual compassion and listening or you may be re-traumatized.

Ed is almost always available - any questions you have he responds to as soon as he gets your request. My personal experience was that I reached out to six attorneys on a Saturday night. Ed was the only one that called me back before Monday. In fact, he called me Sunday morning and arranged to have his legal partner meet for my arraignment in court on Monday morning. This all took place in less than 36 hours. The other five attorneys eventually got around to responding to me on Monday and simply asked me to fax them the police report. By this time I had completed (4) consultations with Ed and his equally talented colleague Mike Maloney. Mike provided me with personal legal representation at my arraignment on Monday morning. These guys treated me as if I was their oldest and most loyal client. This despite that I didn't know them less than two days earlier. It's worth mentioning that when you enter the legal process as a defendant its not a lot of fun. It's one of those things where you wake up at 3AM and can't fall back asleep. It basically sucks. But through his professionalism, expertise and responsiveness Ed took a lot of the sting out it. He has a unique way of making you feel okay about things that aren't all that good, but which can and will be better. The outcome of my case was very favorable.
