I've been coming to Cici's Pizza for quite some time, and to be honest, there was a period where things really went downhill. Under the previous management, the experience was disappointing--cleanliness was an issue, customer service felt unfriendly, and the buffet was almost always lacking. Many times there would only be one pizza out, and even then, it didn't feel fresh. It got to the point where I stopped coming altogether. I decided to give it another try today and found out they're now under new management--and the difference is night and day. The restaurant was noticeably cleaner, the buffet was fully stocked with fresh options, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming again. What stood out the most was the manager. I had the chance to speak with him and he was incredibly respectful, humble, and genuinely appreciative of feedback. You can tell he cares about both the customers and the quality of the establishment. It's clear that the new management is putting in the effort to turn things around, and it shows. I'm really glad I gave Cici's Pizza another chance--this is the experience I remember and hoped to see again. Nasty is an understatement. I don't understand how this place hasn't been shut down. It's decrepit and dirty. The cashier (that I had to look for after standing at the register for several minutes) was unkempt. The contents of the salad bar looked old and wilted. The utensil holder had stains and who knows what stuck to it. The floors, chairs and tables were dirty even though the restaurant was mostly empty. A young guy only came out once to remove dishes. The bathroom is a nightmare. There is actually something furry growing on the wall! The stall doors and walls are sticky both inside and out and there is mold or mildew alongside the sink. The food is edible but that is about as good as it gets. We ordered the wings and they are extremely tiny and lack sauce and flavor. The hot wings taste like basic chicken with little sauce. The pasta section is very very small and was not available when I visited. The pizza was cold and not flavorful, very basic quality. The salad bar was ok and had the basics. My little brother wanted CiCis pizza in Colonial Heights last night and my parents decided to take him after his basketball tournament. Against my better judgement, I decided I would meet them there since my little brother chooses to eat there very frequently. I walk in and the place smelled a little off. Let it go and proceeded to make my way to their table. My parents said the cashier wasn't up there so I had gone to the kitchen window and let them know that we were going to pay whenever they got a chance. The girl rudely said "okay" and didn't even look up from what she was doing. So, I decided to go to wash my hands and sent my SO to the register to pay. On the way to the bathroom I noticed trash all over the floor and a nasty smell as I got closer. I opened the door and a terrible smell came out of the women's room and it was disgusting! I decided to quickly wash my hands - no chance was I actually using the bathroom there. With that gross display, on top of the less than satisfactory appearance of the dining room, I decided I was not eating here. I came back up front and asked my SO if he had already paid and he said yes but he would get the money back for my part as I wasn't going to eat. I told him to let them know I would pay for a drink if that was okay. I sat down at my parents table explaining why I wasn't eating and they said it was fine with them. My SO came and told me that they wouldn't refund the money because I had access to the food. My mother and I went over to the managers who were sitting at a table in front of the buffet and explained my reasoning for not wanting to eat there and that I had done nothing but wash my hands. The younger girl said that everyone in the dining room had to pay even if they weren't eating. I get it, but it doesn't say that on the door or anywhere in plain sight. Or at all in their establishment. I explained that I wasn't paying to wash my hands and that I would buy a drink but I didn't want to eat there based off of the cleanliness. She argued for a second and my mother said they wouldn't come and they eat there often to appease my brother. Finally, the older manager said they would refund it this time but to keep in mind that they don't do that for next time. I assured her, there would NOT be a next time. read more

CiCi's is a buffet that serves many varieties of pizza. If you are unable to find a pizza that they have you can ask them and they will make one for you. They also offer salad and soup and pasta. As well as cinnamon buns. They have a few offers of dessert pizza as well. read more

I was always the kid at the all you can eat buffet that ate mostly the fake, waxy cheese pizza and the Ragu doused spaghetti, so imagine my pleasure at discovering Cici's, an all you can eat buffet consisting entirely of pizza and pasta (and soup and salad) for $5 a person. Call before you go and make sure it's not a school fundraiser night or they have 3 or 4 birthday parties scheduled! We have been here many times only to find we had to wait for seating. This cici's is smaller than some others. The food is like any other CiCi's, cheap and has weird topping pizza that nobody eats. You would think they would make more of the regular pizzas since those are the ones that everybody is standing around for. I wish they'd put more toppings/cheese on their pizzas and go up on the price a little. Maybe folks wouldn't waste it so much. Because after the first 2 bites, the cheese and toppings are gone and since the crust is cheap, no one really eats it. Upgrade CiCi's, please. read more

Meh. My family loves this place because it is affordable, but I never cared for it. There is a decent selection of pizzas, but they are often weird ones like mac & cheese pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, etc instead of anything good. The food is edible though. It is cheap so I don't expect it to be but so great. The staff at this location gets the job done. They walk around with their ipods and headphones in and are not overly friendly, but they are efficient. Someone will come around to take your used plates, but that is about the only cleaning I could see being done. My family arrived and we sat at the only table large enough to seat us all. We had to get some napkins and clean the table ourselves. There were also spills near the soda fountain and children running around the building. Overall, if you want a somewhat cheap place for edible pizza, this is ok. But I would prefer to pay a couple bucks extra and get pizza from...pretty much anywhere else. It depends on your needs...for a large group this is affordable, but you get what you pay for. read more

It has been a long time since I've been to cici's so I was impressed by the wide selection. Wider than the last time I went. The employees were also really friendly. Only 3 stars though because the cleanliness was not what it should have been. The booths were dirty. We had to wipe ours off. The floor and counters were dirty and sticky. The drink machine was sticky. The salad bar was dirty with some stuff having fallen into others. For example I saw several olives in with the banana peppers. There was also one young lady, a customer, wearing a t-shirt and then boxers as shorts. They were quite clearly boxers, but I was surprised the staff let her in like that. Seems gross to be eating with someone in their underwear. The person that was supposed to clear the tables only came around once the whole time we were there. They didn't bother with an "excuse me" while they reached for our plates either. We were trying to gather them to give to him but he seemed really impatient. I had to wait about a week to write this review. I'm still STEAMED!!!! A one star was earned for turning us away because a bus was expected and that seats MAY be available TWO HOURS LATER!!! Really!!!! Turn away your regulars for a bus?????? It may sound like good business to you, but it really sucks when we were looking for a quick bite while out shopping. Drove past nearly an hour later and it looked like a ghost town inside. It would have only taken my wife and I less than an hour to eat. We might even have been finishing up when the purported bus arrived. We had things to do and weren't going to camp out all night! Oh well, it was your decision to lose a local that eats there about 6-8 times a month between lunches and dinners. We're only two that will give feedback, I'm sure you really made some others just as 'happy'. I enjoy Cici's product (most of the time) and this location is not the only one around.
