The food was well worth the price, it was home cooked goodness. The service was excellent, family friendly establishment. This is a very small building, it's not great for large groups, it's very intimate for smaller settings. On the weekends it gets very busy and you may have to wait. I cannot think of the young lady who was our server....I believe she was the owner's daughter.... she was OUTSTANDING! The place was packed when we arrived on a Saturday around 11am but her patience with each table was commendable. We waited only about 15 minutes to be seated (Small dining area) and our food was out within 20 minutes of ordering. I recommend this place for your next breakfast or brunch outing. read more

Here's my review of this pretty great brunch place. Inside: The inside looked pretty small and cramped but it looked pretty nice and the bar area was pretty comfortable. 6.5/10 Service: I met a handful of nice waitresses who provided everything and were on top of things such as the refills and giving me extra napkins. 9/10 Food: I was in a Breakfast mood and it didn't disappoint. The eggs were delicious, the ham was a bit salty for me but still savory, and the pancakes were fluffy and good. My mom had the BLT and I had a bite of the biggest BLT I've ever seen and it was pretty tasty too. Also the fries and potatoes were cooked and seasoned pretty well. 9/10 Overall, this place is by far the best Brunch restaurant in Petersburg and this showed me that local businesses always do better and get things done. 9/10 read more

Wow... i have so many great things to say about this place! I went for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! The lady at the front was soooo sweet that I left a tip on a Togo order and i don't normally do that... sitting in, yes... but to go, no... but she was so kind, i had to! We got the perks sampler, pancakes, some little baby muffins things that were so good i need to go back just to bite that again. So... with that being said... why only 4 stars instead of 5... the French toast. That was bread dipped in egg. No cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla.... Nothing... that seriously needs some help... but outside of that, everything was delicious.... Service was 10/10! It's a very cute little place. Can't wait to go back and try the lunch! read more

The staff was very friendly from the minute we walked in the door. Cute place with six or seven tables with additional counter seating. We had Sandwiches that were some of the best chicken sandwiches we have ever had. Breakfast looked good too. read more

Ok so, a little rewind, about a month ago my aunts and my cousin went here for brunch. My cousin took a video of my aunt eating the BLT and my aunt said "this is the most bacon I've ever seen on a BLT." And she was right! I've been thinking about a BLT from this place ever since. My son went for breakfast and I sent him some cash to get me a BLT... it was so much bacon and I was so happy. The fries were hand cut and they were skinny. My mom loves skinny fries but for me I'm fine either way I like my fries is kind of soft. These were super crisp but almost like an overcook or that they were cooked and then dropped in the grease another time to heat up for the order, but whatever. The fries were too salty for me. Of course the bacon was salty, but it's bacon. The fries weren't extremely salty to where it was inedible, but a little too salty either way. Maybe that was a matter of taste. Also a matter of taste is, I think it needed a little more mayo on the sandwich. But overall, I hope they don't start skimping on the bacon cause I will be back maybe to try other stuff but you can't miss that BLT for sure. The prices were reasonable. If you get a water, I think it qualifies as cheap eats. read more

Oh my goodness. So delicious. Best place for breakfast we've had since moving to Virginia. We love the area, but diners are few. This place is exactly what you'd expect. Super reasonable prices, and portions are sizable. We both ordered the nice n easy. Hand cut potatoes, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and eggs cooked exactly how we liked them. My lord I don't know where they got a peice of chicken as big as the one they put on my sandwich but man was it tasty. Upside to it is by time I got through all the chicken and to the burger I was nearly full. The restaurant is small and intimate, it's family run and everyone in their are friends or family and they don't treat anyone like an outsider. Slight complaint and it's a matter of personal opinion is the the fries were so oily. I know they're fries and they're homemade but if you have problems with oil I would choose a different side. read more

Very cute, small place in Petersburg. There are only about 10 tables, so the service is very friendly and attentive. I was in town visiting family, and they recommended this place for their smash burgers. All the food we got was delicious (maybe a little salty but VERY satisfying). The prices are also great. We spent $28 on food & drinks for 2 people before tip. You don't see that often these days, especially up north in Boston where we're from. I will definitely come here every time I visit Petersburg! read more

Upon entering this establishment, I was immediately met with cold and blank stares from the staff. Almost as if they were asking why I was there. I ordered the french platter. My French toast was thin and dry, lacking any sort of flavor, bacon was burnt but my eggs were undercooked. I asked for them scrambled with cheese and they were running all over my plate. The waitress rolled her eyes at me when I mentioned the soggy mess that the eggs were creating on my platter. Also, my sweet tea was not sweet and I was offered sugar packets to remedy the issue. This is a popular place and I can totally see why. They have super friendly and welcoming staff who are accommodating and never miss a beat with their service, at least whenever i have visited. Service is fairly quick and the food is on point. It's a cozy, chill place. I see Fox News on the TV but it was easy to ignore. Quite frankly, I don't want to see any news while I am out enjoying a meal. Anyhoo, I was super happy with cheesy scrambled eggs (not overcooked) and waffle that I got most recently. The only stinker is that they don't serve maple syrup but I don't think most people in the south know what real maple syrup tastes like anyway. It's a transgression I will forgive. lol They serve breakfast all day too. I like that many of the employees in there (I am not sure if they are family or not) are teens. I started working when I was a teen and it developed my working skills and ethic for later in life. I'm glad I found this place--another P-burg gem! read more

Restaurant recommended by a friend, and since it's open on Monday, I thought I would give it a chance. I ordered the 2 scrambled eggs, sausage and grits breakfast. I have a medical condition and as such, I specifically asked for soft and runny eggs with no butter in my grits. I received my breakfast fairly quickly, with large portions; however, the eggs were hard scrambled with the driest biscuit know to man and grits that had milk in them. My server was seemed truly indifferent and made no effort to address the issue. She brought me the check, which had a credit card surcharge calculated in the total, even though I was paying with cash. Great food and a wonderful staff- save for the owner who insists on keeping Fox News on the televisions around the place. Despite the complaints he feels a need to shove the problems of the world down everyone's throat along with the meal we are paying him for. The 1st time I came the day after VSU Homecoming Parade '25! The food was Amazing. The staff was kind and efficient! Even though they develop line, they served them all quickly! I ordered the Mouthwatering French toast with cooked apples! The helpings were ridiculous! I would come back in a hot second, as a matter of fact, I'm standing in line now waiting for a seat!!!
