    BEAUTIFUL space

Cider & Cedar has been on my list for a WHILE now as my husband is an avid cider drinker. Ciders actually aren't my jam, but they have other options and the place is GORGEOUS so I've always wanted to go. We went on a Friday night around 9pm and it was surprisingly pretty dead. We definitely expected a chill/calm vibe, but when we walked in there was upbeat music bumping and the bartender was jamming away. Instantly got us pumped! My husband got a cider flight and was happy with all of the choices. Two of the ciders he got out of four were from a local favorite of his (Cockrell Cider) so he was glad to see some tried and true staples. I got a glass of wine which was also good. My favorite part though is definitely just the atmosphere and how well they did with the space. It's seriously so gorgeous! All of the salvaged wood is stunning and I love the color palette happening here. Highly suggest stopping in for a drink or two to check out this local gem.

First time here, felt like coming home to the plant shoppe in the Hoh Delicious snacks and ciders, friendly staff, I will be back!

Attended an evening performance of a friend, was delighted with the comfortable garden, like ambience of cider and cedar. They had a wonderful selection of ciders, delicious appetizers, and comfortable chairs, and tables. Outdoor seating was equally wonderful... the service was friendly, accommodating and personalized. Even though we come from 30 miles south of Tacoma-this is a place worthy of the drive!

If you love plants, or cider, or great staff - you're in for a treat because they have all three at Cider and Cedar! The atmosphere is welcoming, calming (the wood working is out of this world!) and the service was great! For reference, I enjoyed a little outside show of a local band (Sweet Marilyn) and it was the perfect way to spend a Friday night. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Great location for cider and bar bites! We enjoyed a couple of ciders in a cozy location on the couches and also ordered several apps. It was great ambiance and service was top notch. The food was excellent as was the cider!

Cedar and cider is a cider focused bar in downtown Tacoma. They have around 10 different ciders on tap as well as some local beers. The bar is nicely decorated with beautiful wooden pieces as a play on their name. The vibe is really friendly and upscale. Probably a place geared more towards people 30+ I went here with my wife for a drink and we both really enjoyed the friendly and quick service as well as the chill atmosphere. We will definitely be back. If you like cider this is a great one to check out!

Such an amazing vibe for a chill laid back evening or sate night!! The decor was everything and the ciders were even better. One of the coolest bars I've been too in Tacoma. Loved the recycled polished wood. It was a great earthy theme. I'd highly recommend!

The salvaged wood from the Hoh rainforest looks so cool and is used well in this space. My friends and I went on a night they had live music, which was fun. We enjoyed the bao and most of the ciders in our cider flights. The owners were very nice.

Great new addition to Tacoma! We shared a flight and enjoyed it. Loved the seafood truck that was featured on opening night. Pesto clams were the way to. Service was friendly, the ambiance was popping as it was packed for grand opening weekend. Can't wait to see this place thrive and bring yet another wonderful place to hangout, eat & drink to Tacoma! Also the Decor of the place is worth seeing even if you don't like ciders! It's beautiful inside & I see why this place took as long as it did to open. All the cedar inside is GORGEOUS. Wow

Stopped in here randomly while out and about. I did not expect to be walking into my new favorite place. EVERYTHING was awesome. The cider The customer service The food! The ambiance! The owners opened 1.5 years ago and most of the decor is procured/recycled from their old property. There is a 1000 year old tree! Come! Bring your friends and support this small business!

I haven't seen the usual setup, but I'm assuming there's usually tables and chairs in the middle. THE FOOD: - Kitchen is currently closed, but outside food is more than welcome. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. Only 500 were made, and this is currently the only one in the state. Your next closest is Next Level Museum in Oregon if you want to play this extraordinary machine. It's worth it! - We came on a salsa lesson night, so most pinball machines were blocked by tables. That's alright because 7 were unblocked and provided plenty of entertainment while the salsa lessons happened. - I think pinball + salsa music + sipping refreshing ciders is the new best way to enjoy a Saturday night. EDIT: some spelling mistakes on my part, oops.

First of all, the property is huge with various areas to hang out in. There's an indoor space downstairs, and upstairs space with a bar and video games, uncovered and covered outdoor patio areas with equipment for live musicians, and a little forested enclave with seating and a fireplace. Beyond their awesome ambiance, their ciders were all varied and delicious. They have 26 taps to choose from. We tried a bunch of their 4oz pours. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit. I implore you to try this place if you haven't!

I had sort of assumed that the kids would get bored quickly and we would leave right away. But they were so entertained playing in nature that I couldn't get them to leave for hours, which made for a relaxing afternoon for me and my wife as we sipped cider and watched them play. The cider itself is some of the best I've ever had. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and I would rank dragon head as my top cider in the state.

They have a beautiful orchard that you can walk around in as well. Some nice seating areas scattered about or bring a picnic blanket. No food but maybe some snacks for purchase. I have previously loved their ciders and I knew the food would be good too. And indeed it did not disappoint at all. We got Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs and some Pumpkin Donuts. Both were phenomenal. The snack menu in general looked really creative and unique but the eggs is what won us over. And the donuts. The food was extremely fresh and very flavorful. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. The Deviled Eggs were lovely and the Pumpkin Donuts had a layer of filling and were presented kind of like a sandwich but they didn't last long and were delicious. The cider is of course as good as it ever has been. I got a Wild Fermented Cider that had a great and intriguing after taste to it. It had a dry, tart, apple and clean flavor characteristics to it along with a nice ring with the fermented aspect at the end of each sip. The cider is nice and light bodied also. What a great stop this was... not that I was expecting anything different but a five star experience all the way!
