I have had nothing but good experiences here.. now am I a regular...no, am I a professional...no, I enjoy a cigar when cooking on the grill, smoker or watching a game... maybe 15-20 cigars a year.... Great cigars with very knowledgeable staff. I smoke a lot of premium cigars. While on vacation from Texas, I ran out of cigars and I had to find a real cigar shop that didn't focus on vapes. This one was perfect. I tried several and found one I'd never tried, the Southern Draw Kudzu. It was the best in my purchase there. read more

Out of Touch, Overpriced, and Driving Loyal Customers Away Unfortunately, a lot has changed at Cigar Cave--and not in a good way. Oregon's tobacco tax caps at $1 per stick, yet Cigar Cave is marking up cigars by what appears to be an additional 45-65% on top of that. For those prices, you'd expect a well-stocked humidor, but it's been pretty bare for over a month--and this isn't the first time. The owners seem completely out of touch with the customer base. Longtime patrons are being pushed away by poor decisions and changes that don't reflect what this community wants. Customers should be celebrated, not merely tolerated--but Cigar Cave doesn't do either. Even the Sip and Smoke events, which used to be a highlight, have become uncomfortable. It's hard to feel welcome there anymore. If you're thinking about shopping here, I'd suggest reconsidering. Another local retailer may have a smaller selection, but they keep their shelves stocked and their pricing fair--generally retail plus the Oregon state tax, as it should be. And if you're looking for more variety, online retailers offer far better options, fairer pricing, and a much better customer experience overall. Bottom line: Cigar Cave feels like it's being run into the ground. It's not what it used to be--and if things don't change, more loyal customers will continue to walk away. read more

Horrible management and service. Treat the good employees like garbage then fire them, one of them being a long time employee with a wealth of knowledge. So sad to see such a great opportunity go down the drain. Shelves were empty and what they did have was over priced. They have now reduced stock to match what most other cigar shops or even News & Smokes can carry. not really setting themselves apart from the local shops or online. I absolutely love the people who work here. They are all so so nice and willing to help one find just the right kind of cigar, or just recommend a good one to start with if you're a newbie. They have these little get togethers every Friday night just to meet the regulars and sit and smoke and talk shit for a while. Definitely great guy time! My man used to go but since his work schedule is different he can't make it in time unfortunately. They have a super cool walk-in humidor and they have all kinds of different cigars to choose from, and they even have handy little variety packs where you get 5 assorted ones for, like, 28 bucks. Good deal, especially if you want to just try some new random things. They make a really great community of people here, whether or not you're able to make it to their little events they have. All the guys are super cool. Awesome place and awesome people! read more

What a great shop. Nice big humidor with a great selection of sticks. I was greatly impressed with there knowledge of the cigars that buy normally. Turned me on to a couple of new sticks. I also found it fascinating that they sell full tobacco leaves. Apparently people use them to roll others things to smoke but it was nice to see what part of the cigar looks like in its natural form. read more

Let me start of by saying I dread walking into cigars shops because I'm usually the only female and you get ignored or bored in conversations most of the time but this guy was a true cigar sommelier. My husband and I are mid road trip and stopped to get coffee at Starbucks and got stuck at a light and saw a cigar shop (we've been looking for a good one) so we walked in and oh my gosh this guy was awesome not annoying like a salesman at all but genuinely wanted to make sure we walked out with what we would like. Talk about exceeding expectations. He was very knowledgeable and wanted to know what the occasion was for the cigars and giving suggestions on what to pair with. Overall awesome experience and we will be back for sure ! We walked out with like 12 cigars already had one of the ones he recommended and it was phenomenal! Didn't catch his name but he said he was the only army guy who worked their so yeah. Hooah!!! read more

Really nice little shop. An *actual* cigar and pipe tobacconist. I was starting to despair seeing as how all of the "tobacco shops" in the area turned out to be head shops and I got a tip that cigar cave had just opened. Much to my joy I walked in to find a pretty good selection of cigars and multiple varieties of hand blended pipe tobacco which apparently they blend at their grants Pass location. They also had some tins of tobacco including a favorite of mine, Drew Estate. The fellow working behind the counter was really helpful and nice, even filled up my pipe lighter for me which had just run out of fuel. Thanks guys! Congrats on the new location and best of luck! I travel for work and I try to find cigar shops wherever I go. This is a great little shop with a huge selection. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable and gave me a bunch of information about their cigar variety. I finally had to ask him of all the cigars we had talked about which one would he smoke. He gave me an excellent recommendation. Since I am an out of towner and it was November, I didn't know where I could take my new purchase. He suggested I check out Porters because they have an outdoor smoking area outside their bar...even in winter months. Again, an excellent recommendation. I was able to get a great meal and have a great smoke at his suggestion. I will definitely stop in for a new cigar the next time I am in town. read more
